Chapter 1000: Chapter 1000: She is the Boss of Fire_1

Chapter 1000

In an instant, a crowd rushed up to them, reaching out as if wanting something. She ran out in desperation, and only when she had run far did she realize that Raine Nolan hadn’t followed her. She immediately rushed back to Chloe Collins for help.

Hearing her words, a chill crept into Chloe’s eyes as she silently stared at her.

Sherry Sullivan shivered under Chloe’s gaze, unsure of what to say in the moment.

At that moment, there was a knock on the door, urgent and angry.

Wanda Wesley, who was closest to the door, opened it.

Then Raine walked in, with disheveled hair and clothes, looking like she had been robbed.

Her eyes were blazing with anger. They first flickered across Wanda’s face before finally settling on Chloe.

Sherry relaxed her whole body, "Raine, you’re back. It’s good that you’re back, it’s good."

"Did those people do anything to you? Are you okay?"

Raine glared at Chloe with murderous eyes, gritting her teeth, "They took all of my cash."

Sherry: "It’s okay, money is extrinsic, it’s okay even if it’s gone."

"If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t have gone out, and I wouldn’t have been robbed."

"Cursed!"

After cursing, she stormed out through the door.

Seeing this, Sherry hurried after her.

This time, Raine didn’t run out of the hotel, she went to stay in Sherry’s room instead.

The other teacher in the room happened to be out for shopping, so she wasn’t in the room.

Sherry wiped the dirt off Raine’s face while complaining, "Oh my, Chloe is really indifferent towards you. When I asked her to help you, she didn’t budge at all. Such indifference."

Raine sneered, "Teacher, haven’t you figured it out yet? Chloe and I are enemies. How could she save her enemy? She’s probably thrilled that I was in trouble!"

Sherry continued her complaint, "If Chloe were weak and scared, and didn’t go, I would understand. But she was clearly capable of saving you. Sigh, how could someone be so ruthless?"

Raine scoffed, "What skill does she have to save someone? All she’s got is a nimble mind, she would be useless even if she went."

Every time she heard someone praising Chloe, she felt uncomfortable and unhappy.

That would make her feel like they are looking down on her while praising Chloe.

Sherry looked at her, some thoughts fluttering in her heart.

"Teacher, do you have something to tell me?"

After considerable thought, Sherry asked curiously, "Do you really know so little about your cousin?"

"Little? I’m probably the person who knows her best."

Sherry laughed skeptically, "Then how come you didn’t know that she is the boss of Fire?"

"What?"

Sherry smiled lightly, "Fire, is more or less similar to my detective agency. From a business perspective, it makes at least this much per year."

She held up two hands.

Raine’s gaze tightened, "One million?"

Sherry laughed, "One billion, US dollars, and this is a modest estimate."

Raine laughed incredulously, "That’s impossible, there must be a mistake! Chloe? How would she have that? All she has is the inheritance left by her mother. At most, she earns a bit from her perfumery and calligraphy. This Fire, what does it have to do with her?"

Sherry shrugged, putting on a wise look, and slowly explained, "It’s true, I saw the members of Fire calling her ’Boss’, there can be no mistake."

Raine pondered for a while, and her stunned eyes suddenly gleamed with laughter, "You must be mistaken, impossible, absolutely impossible! There must be some misunderstanding."

Sherry hesitated, "Really?"
