Chapter 961

After being in his arms for a while, she could hear Alexander Foster’s voice in her ear, "Shall I take you to Albert Green’s place, hmm?"

"No need." The clothes in her hands dropped to the floor, her arms wrapping around his waist.

Alexander Foster’s breath was profound, and his heart felt like it was heavily pressed with a giant stone.

He held her gently, treating her as if she were a fragile treasure, not daring to apply any unnecessary strength for fear of causing her pain.

A soft murmur echoed faintly from the person in his embrace. It was quiet; he could not quite hear it clearly.

"Hmm?" He bent his head.

Chloe Collins was eyes closed, her cheek nuzzling up to his neck, not speaking again seemingly asleep.

A few minutes later, carrying her out from the sports center, he held her coat in his hand.

Chloe Collins was asleep against his back like a child, not moving at all.

He asked Wanda Wesley to seek leave from the teachers and hurriedly took Chloe Collins away from there that night.

The car stopped at the Laboratories, driven by Maurice Willis.

"Boss, we’re here." he glanced back, keeping his voice very low.

Fearing that it might wake up Chloe Collins.

She was leaning and sleeping on Alexander Foster’s body, unaware of the journey.

Alexander Foster maintained the same posture as when he was driving, unchanged as if he was afraid of waking her up.

Alexander Foster carried her out of the car, walked straight into the building.

Albert Green had been waiting for long. Seeing the situation, his heart clenched tightly.

"Why did she suddenly collapse like this?" He looked anxiously like a worried father.

"Quick, walk this way."

As he spoke, Albert Green beckoned Alexander Foster to carry her to room.

After laying her down, Albert Green asked Alexander Foster to go out first. He had to check Chloe Collins’ physical indicators.

But just when he was about to start, Chloe Collins opened her eyes leisurely.

Albert Green was delighted, "You woke up. Are you still in pain?"

Chloe Collins looked at the tightly closed door and asked, "Has he left?"

"Mr. Foster? Not yet, he’s still waiting outside."

Chloe Collins turned her face to the side, buried it in the pillow and closed her eyes, "Tell him to leave."

"He definitely won’t leave until the checkup results are out. He won’t leave the entire night, I can’t send him away either," Albert Green said as he was preparing to measure her heartbeat.

"You didn’t see his face just now; he looked as if he lost the whole world, he’s just good at restraining himself. Any other person would have blown up by now."

After a simple check, he sighed with relief, "Everything seems normal, she’s okay."

"How long did this heartache last? What caused it?"

He picked up the record book.

Chloe Collins paused for three seconds, then spoke limply, "I wasn’t sick."

"Huh?" Albert Green doubted if he heard correctly.

Chloe Collins turned around to sleep, "I lied to him."

"Lied...lied to him?" Albert Green was astounded.

"Why would you do this, Miss?" He put down the record book.

Chloe Collins kept her eyes closed and said coldly, "No reason whatsoever."

Albert Green probably understood, this seems to be a squabble.

It has to be a quarrel!

When his young one quarreled before, he always feigned illness and pain to evoke his sympathy and concern for him.

However, he never thought that the cold woman would have such a girlish side, it indeed surprised him.

He chuckled, "Only he can make you behave like this. Alright, I will tell him to leave."

As the door closed, Chloe Collins started tapping her fingers on the side of the bed lightly, to soothe her fluctuating emotions.

As soon as the door was closed, Albert Green laughed with Alexander Foster.

"Seems like my wedding sweets are coming soon." Albert Green chuckled.

Alexander Foster furrowed his brows, "How is she?"
