Chapter 944

The next day, Chloe Collins returned to the Training Squad and resumed her studies.

The teacher brought over a pile of homework for the two of them, asking them to finish as quickly as possible.

Before she even started, someone came to call her.

"Chloe Collins, Professor Si wants you in his office."

Chloe lifted up her eyes, crunched the lollipop in her mouth into pieces, threw the stick into a nearby trash can and stood up, heading out.

The surroundings of Simon Griffin’s office were very quiet. Once she knocked on the door and entered, there was only him inside.

After Chloe came in, he took off his glasses, put them aside, clasped his hands over his crossed legs, leaned back against the chair and said mildly: "Take a seat."

"If you have something to say, Teacher, please say it." She remained standing.

Simon Griffin: "Ahem. Sit down first, and then we’ll talk."

Chloe pulled open the chair and sat down haphazardly, silently watching him.

Simon opened a drawer and handed a blank piece of paper and a pen to her.

"Sign your name."

Chloe frowned: "Sign?"

Simon Griffin: "One of the kids back home is a fan of yours, just need an autograph."

Chloe stayed quiet for a moment, picked up the pen, and wrote down the name "Miles White."

When it came to fans, it was this pseudonym.

However, Simon said, "No, no, I didn’t mean that."

He drew out a fresh piece of paper, handed it to her and said, "Your real name, with that free-spirited flair. Just use the same font as the one from ’Return of the King’ on your set of playing cards."

Chloe frowned: "Which one should I sign with?"

"Your real name, Chloe Collins."

She put down her pen: "Professor, what do you need my real name for?"

She was looking at him calmly and composedly.

This was the first time Simon Griffin, as a professor in his mid-thirties, was being observed by a child much younger than him, and he found it novel.

In the past, he would already be angry by now.

But now, it was different.

Simon Griffin scratched his head a little, stared at her and said, "I already know about your identity at Fire."

"Oh, I know." Chloe responded indifferently.

Simon Griffin looked surprised: "You know? Did Ms. Sullivan tell you?"

Chloe Collins: "Nobody told me."

"Then how did you know?"

Chloe’s lips moved slightly, and she simply asked: "Professor, if there’s nothing else, I’ll leave first. I still have class."

"It’s just a simple request from a child who wants your autograph. It’s no trouble at all."

Chloe looked him in the eye: "How would a child in Professor’s family know me?"

Simon Griffin’s face changed slightly. Damn, he had forgotten about that logic.

He said: "Let’s not get tangled up in these details. Just sign, and then you can be off to class."

Chloe raised an eyebrow, remained silent, picked up the pen, and quickly wrote down a few characters on the paper.

The handwriting was free-spirited and bold, with an uninhibited charm.

Simon’s eyes shone, and he waved his hand, saying: "Go to class."

After Chloe Collins left, he waited a while. Ensure no one else was coming in, then quickly got up, squatted down and picked up the paper to admire it.

The next second, his smile froze.

The handwriting was beautiful, but the name wasn’t Chloe Collins’, it was... his!

A frustration welled up inside him. He crumpled the paper into a ball and tossed it in the trash can.

Three seconds later, he suddenly bent over again, picked back up the ball of paper, and tried to smooth it flat, dusting it off.

After much effort, he still couldn’t return it to its original state. He got up and went to ask other teachers if they had an iron.

At lunchtime, Chloe and Wanda Wesley were eating in a corner by the window on the second floor of the restaurant.

Conveniently, today’s variety show was being aired on the television in the dining hall.

It just so happened to be Saturday, so the students could watch the show. Normally, it’s just news on the television; it’s turned off after thirty minutes.
