Many couples had signed up for the competition, including the two male companions.

The two ordered something in a snack bar next door and sat down to wait.

As they were talking, a couple in the competition couldn’t hold on, separated, and received a pack of napkins as a consolation prize.

Three couples broke down right after, laughing and leaving.

The male couple was still motionless though, as steady as Mount Tai, it seemed they were determined to win the ruby necklace.

Chloe Collins: "After finding Dr. Hailey, are we really going to hand her over to the authorities?"
