Chapter 891
Suddenly, the men in black in front of him started to get up, one after another.
The way they rose was strange, resembling zombies. Even if their bones were misplaced, they could still stand up quickly.
Each one of them attacked him as they rose.
He was dealing with them single-handedly: severing each one’s arm and twisting their necks emotionlessly. He fiercely struck the back of their heads with the crossbow, causing them to shut down instantly!
Within five minutes, all the six men in black that attacked him were scattered, sprawled on the ground.
Limbs and severed heads were scattered all over the ground.
Violence?
Indeed, it was savage.
Bloodthirsty?
Not at all.
Because there was no blood, not a single drop.
All those collapsing were robots.
With her hands in her pockets, Chloe Collins watched as he fended off each attack and then clapped a few times, her expression blank.
The man kicked away a robot head that was blocking his path and walked towards her.
The lights before Chloe were blocked by his towering figure.
The light from a lamp in the secret passage.
He casually carried the crossbow on his shoulder. Seeing the mask on her face, his M-shaped lips curled into a smile. His voice was soft, but filled with emotion, "Who made this mask for you?"
"So?" she asked lazily.
"It’s kind of stupid." he said.
He removed the girl’s mask and said, "It’s been so long, won’t you give your senior a hug?"
He tossed away the crossbow, spread his arms, and smiled.
Chloe raised her eyes, lazily glanced at him and said, "After such a long time, you’re still as pathetic as ever, always with the same request."
Milton White laughed, "If you agreed once, would I end up being so humble?"
Chloe scoffed and walked past him towards the robots. She bent down and picked up a severed arm for inspection.
The internal components were destroyed, emitting sparks of electricity.
She tossed it away, "Who are these guys?"
Milton White responded, "They’re new robots being developed by Blue Power Enterprise and are still in the testing phase. Someone stole them and modified their programs. I’ve been following them, which has led me here. Who is this guy?"
He glanced at the unconscious Cold Lizard.
Chloe frowned, "Now that you’ve killed them all, how am I supposed to track their master?"
Milton White, "It’s the request of Blue Power Enterprise to destroy any of them on sight. I didn’t think much about it. Or how about you punch me twice to vent your anger?"
"When did you start working for Blue Power Enterprise?"
"I was bored, so thought to have some fun."
He said, "But the guys you’re chasing are extremely cunning and wouldn’t leave any clues for you to follow. These robots will self-destruct once they’re done, they won’t rendezvous with them."
As he’s speaking, he reaches to comb through Chloe’s messy hair.
Just then, she heard Alexander Foster’s voice in her ear and took a step forward.
Milton White came up empty-handed.
"Okay, they’re all robots. Did you leave any alive on your side?"
"Alright, I’m coming over."
She said, "Alexander kept a prisoner alive. Please take this man out for me, I’ll meet you tomorrow."
After walking a few steps, she stopped, turned around, and looked straight into his eyes, "Thanks, senior."
Milton White watched as the girl walked off into the distance and sighed, "The last thing I need from you is your gratitude."
The girl didn’t turn her head back or respond, whether she didn’t hear him or simply ignored him, wasn’t clear.
Chloe arrived in Secret Passage 5C. This was the quietest path since it led to The Great Mountain. Usually, not many people would venture up there.
