Chapter 1092: Chapter 1092 Drawing and Taking Photos_1

Chapter 1092

The scene slowly moves to the man’s side. From an angle, she can’t see, his thin lips curl. He watches her from the mirror, observing her with intense focus, subtly imprinting her image in the deepest part of his heart.

His index and middle fingers dance like a pendulum, lightly tapping on the table surface, a sense of satisfaction overflowing in his heart.

It doesn’t take long before Chloe Collins puts down her pen.

She walks over to him with the drawing, sitting next to him.

"Aren’t you going to show me?"

Chloe raises her eyes: "You... knew?"

He gives a soft smile: "The ice has melted."

In other words, the ice has melted, but he could still sit still because he knew she was by his side.

Chloe unfolded the drawing for him to see.

"Just a casual sketch."

Alexander Foster was taken aback for a moment, after looking at it for a while, he asked her, "I want to replace the lead artist for the comic."

Looking at her, he said, "With you."

"No need, I have no interest in drawing comics, just watching it is interesting enough."

Alexander’s gaze went back to the drawing: "Is it for me?"

"If you want it, you can have it."

"Do you hope that I want it?" His lips holding a faint smile.

Chloe laughed, her eyes upturned: "I won’t lie to you, this drawing...it’s for me to see."

With that, she rolled up the drawing and put it in her backpack.

"If you want it, please pay. I’ll draw another one for you."

A man’s eyes filled with indulgence, his voice slow and gentle like a cup of warm water: "There’s no need for such trouble."

He took out his phone, switched to selfie mode, and naturally moved closer to Chloe to fit her into the frame.

Chloe rarely took selfies. Looking at herself in the frame, her gaze seemed a bit unnatural.

The man turned his head, looked down at her, and smiled softly: "Smile."

Chloe was very cooperative, lifting the corners of her mouth, but it unintentionally resulted in a forced smile.

At that moment, Alexander called her.

She looked up, seeing the man making a silly face, sticking his tongue out and rolling his eyes, the sight was both fresh and amusing. A genuine smile naturally broke across her face.

The man instantly straightened his face and pressed the capture button.

This photo exuded happiness at first glance. The soft sunlight filtered through the gaps of their faces, two people gazing at each other, laughing, their eyes filled with thousands of shining stars.

That evening, the man set this photo as his background for his social media circle, desktop, computer desktop, and various chat backgrounds.

As the two were dining, in another corner of the city, in a dim room, the man’s muffled groans could be heard. They were subtle but suppressive and uncomfortable.

The moonlight seeped in through the fluttering curtains, illuminating the bedside, and casting a light on the man’s face.

His face was covered in sweat due to the pain, both his hands are handcuffed to the bed’s footboard, no matter how much he struggled, he was unable to escape, leaving behind only a round of red marks.

Next to his leg was a phone still lit, its screen showing Alexander’s social media page.

"Eleven..."

Chloe had been whiling her time away at Alexander’s company for more than a month, enjoying every day.

In between, she attended the graduation party organized by the class advisor, Keith Grant. Apart from that, she occasionally dined out with friends, sometimes discussing progress about experiments with Albert Green, living comfortably.

Without much time passing, the admission letter arrived at the Fosters, she successfully got admitted into the Automation Major at Capitol University and received a full scholarship, this included the 1,000,000 promised by a Capitol University Teacher.
