Chapter 1065

There were many examiners in the grading process. Finally, after comprehensive deductions, only one point was deducted. This is how the overall score was achieved.

Evelyn Thompson and William Foster planned to hold a banquet. They mentioned it to Tristan Collins, but only curtly, since technically, Chloe Collins was still a part of the Collins family.

Conveniently, June 21st was Chloe’s twentieth birthday, so they decided to celebrate it together.

The day before her birthday, Chloe received presents sent from all corners of the globe, filling up the whole house.

As the recipient, Heijii was utterly exhausted.

She had many friends, so naturally, there were many gift givers.

There were birthday presents, as well as graduation gifts.

She didn’t want to make a big fuss about it. After discussing it with Evelyn Thompson, they decided to just throw a relaxed party.

That night, as the last second of the 20th ticked away, the 21st arrived.

Chloe stared at the message sent by Heijii and fell into silence.

[Boss, everything is all set. I have returned the family register to Tristan Collins.]

Chloe closed her eyes and pulled the quilt over herself.

Her feelings that night were somewhat complicated.

The next day, just as she was about to contact Heijii to bring over the legal team, Tristan’s people went to her proactively.

"Young Lady, the master invites you over. Today is the day Madam’s will takes effect."

A faint hint of surprise flashed across Chloe’s eyes. She got into the car and went over to the Collins’s.

Heijii and the rest waited outside, they wouldn’t go in without her instructions.

A lawyer carrying the relevant documents arrived at the Collins’s. Seeing her there, he said, "Everyone is here, Mr. Collins, I will now read the will."

Tristan gave a slight nod. His solemn face made his emotions hard to read.

Once the formalities were completed, Chloe smoothly took over the flower field and the entertainment venue as her inheritance.

Tessa Collins, on the spellbound side, seemed rather disgruntled yet helpless from her countenance, unable to voice out a single word.

however, Tristan that day seemed more composed than usual, and, surprisingly, he did not lose his temper.

"You all can head out first."

Tessa and the others gradually left, leaving only the two of them in the room.

Finally, Tristan turned to lock eyes with Chloe, making a sound, "Where did you learn these tactics to swallow up the Taylor family?"

"Want to learn?" The girl’s eyes scattered defiantly.

Tristan squinted, his chest sinking with frustration, evidently angered once more. However, he did not lose his temper this time.

His eyes were deep and sharp, like a blade.

After a few seconds of silence, he muttered, "Cherish the remaining days."

Chloe looked up abruptly, silently gazing at him.

A sort of disdainful openness was reflected in her hard, sharp eyes.

A hint of a mocking smile appeared at the corners of her mouth.

"I see."

The smooth progression of today’s events now made sense.

It was probably some kind of false magnanimity, not wanting to nitpick with a dying person.

"Emma Foster killed your mother. You’re with Alexander Foster now. Have you ever thought about how you’ll face her in the future?"

Chloe displayed a look of weariness and got up, "How I lead my life does not need to consider anyone’s feelings."

"Who can you deceive with such words? You..."

"Am I really your daughter?" Chloe suddenly looked up, staring directly at him as she asked this question, cutting him off.

At that moment, a touch of panic appeared in Tristan’s eyes, his face becoming somewhat pale.

Then, he scoffed, "You’ve already removed yourself from the family register. What significance does my answer hold now?!"

Chloe’s expression was cold, "As a child, I did not understand. Now I do. Seeing is not always believing. As long as there’s money, even hospital certificates can be falsified."

Tristan clenched his fists, heavy-faced.

"If the matters of the past involve my mother’s reputation, I will not continue to investigate." She left only this sentence behind before walking away, her figure appearing fiercely lonely.

Tristan felt a wave of chest tightness and couldn’t help but strike his chest a few times.

He muttered, "You are my daughter!"

These words, strained and heavy.

Chloe’s footsteps paused for a second, before she resolutely walked off.

At the second floor, Rosalind Taylor leaning against the wall, footsteps of shock and jealousy filled her pupils, and her tears trickled down along the tear trough.
