He leaned toward her: "Do you want to add a female lead?"

Chloe Collins shook her head: "Just write as you want, I’m just responsible for reading it, I don’t want to."

"Any other questions?"

"Not at the moment."

"Okay, now it’s my turn to ask." he said.

Chloe Collins waited for his question.

"When did you start liking me?"

Chloe Collins felt a slight tingling sensation. Oddly enough, this question seemed loaded with innuendo.

This question wasn’t as simple as it sounded. In the past, she might have teased him a bit, but now with Leo Coleman exposed, she couldn’t remain unaffected.

She didn’t admire many people in her life but Alexander Foster deserved the credit twice.

Quite a coincidence, she only admired these two, and they ended up being the same person.

"I’m hungry, let’s go eat." she said.

Alexander Foster was still holding the bouquet of roses: "You couldn’t remember?"

She lowered her eyes, silent for a long while, then suddenly looked up at his eyes: "The timing isn’t important, what’s important is, that I like you."

Her heart began to race as she spoke, her head unconsciously lowering slightly.

His lips quirked up at the corners as he suddenly stood up, reached out his hand and pulled her up: "Alright, let’s go eat."

The soft and warm voice, one could feel how happy he was just by listening to it.

It might rain tonight, there was a breeze and the air was a bit chilly.

The man didn’t speak but he reached into his pocket to wrap around her hand, dispersing the cold.

After the two had walked some distance, two people who were hiding near the side door came out.

"See, I told you! Alexander Foster is carrying roses! He must be proposing!"

Raine Nolan quickly pushed the door open, only to be shocked by what she saw.

"Why is it an autograph session?"

"Huh? It’s not a proposal?"

Raine Nolan thought for a moment, then ran out: "Let’s go outside to watch the show!"

She ran all the way out, straight to the doorway, Aria Taylor followed her.

As they approached the main gate, she halted in her tracks.

"Look! They’re coming!"

"Who?"

Aria Taylor looked outside the floor-to-ceiling window and saw Chloe Collins and the rest were blocked by four men.

Raine Nolan had a smug look on her face: "These are the people her father sent to take her back."

"What do you mean?"

"My father doesn’t want her to get close to the Fosters, even less to marry into the Fosters. Rather, he hopes that she gets close to the Whites. So he arranged a banquet tonight and Milton White came over. But because Chloe Collins took away the family register, he also left. However, it’s strange that I haven’t seen him yet."

The four men looked at each other and changed their tone: "Even if the young lady doesn’t come with us, at least give us the family register."

Alexander Foster looked towards the girl beside him and asked softly: "What did you take the family register for?"

A glimmer of hope flashed in his eyes.

Chloe Collins was expressionless: "To remove my name."

Alexander Foster’s smile slowly vanished at her answer. He fell silent, then glanced at the four men: "Give Mr. Collins a message for me."
