Chapter 1015

The Capitol University representative smiled mildly: "Half a million? Oh, dear boy."

He then clicked to play a small video, and the principal of Capitol University appeared on the screen!

"Chloe Collins, hello, I am the Principal of Arkney University. Today, I am sincerely inviting you to join us at Capitol University. You can choose any major you like, your tuition fees will be fully covered, and you will receive a one million-dollar scholarship. Furthermore, if you have any other requirements, feel free to mention them. We will certainly accommodate them."

Well, well — a million-dollar scholarship.

The Havensmouth University professor, who had been about to speak, silently sighed to himself then swallowed his words.

Undoubtedly, he felt he could not compete and feared losing face.

The representatives from the other two universities exchanged a glance, and no one dared to speak for a moment.

Capitol University was indeed Capitol University.

"Chloe, you know, the scholarship is not the main consideration. It depends on what major you are interested in. One of our top majors at Orlando University is the Department of Chemistry. I remember you being the recent world champion in a Chemistry competition. I believe there’s no other school more suitable for you than ours," she added with a little smile.

"Moreover, we can increase the scholarship if you decide to come. We can do anything!" she said spiritedly.

The representative from Capitol University countered, "Our Department of Chemistry at Capitol University is not inferior either. Moreover, since you’ve already excelled in Chemistry, you should consider exploring other fields. For example, our Department of Mathematics at the Capitol University is internationally recognized. Chloe, please give it some serious thought. Our principal has promised that you can name any condition you wish!"

All the professors turned their attention to her.

She pondered, then looked up, her voice calm and light, as if she were speaking about someone else: "Dear professors, have you not read my personal file?"

She said in a detached tone, "In fact, I’m not a good student at all, in spite of my good grades. I enjoy skipping classes, reading non-curricular books during the class, and sometimes even leaving class to grab a snack from the convenience store when the mood strikes.

"Also, I don’t like being restricted, or following other people’s schedules, I don’t like extra classes on weekends, and I truly dislike homework. During training squad sessions, I frequently take leave and don’t participate in training. So, all said and done, I am indeed not a good student. Would you still want me?"

"Uhh..."

The professors all looked at each other in dismay.

They really hadn’t expected this turn of events.

All they saw was a student full of prestige and radiance.

The professors from her home school couldn’t help but cover their faces. They were completely taken aback by Chloe Collins’s unexpected declaration.

What on earth were they supposed to do now...

"Well, who among us is without fault? At Capitol University, we are quite tolerant and would never fuss over such little issues. If a person is not exceptional, how could they ever reach great heights?" said the Capitol University professor.

"Indeed, our school advocates for enlightened education and is not tied down by traditional methods. We focus more on the essence of education. Looking at it this way, your learning style, Chloe, aligns extremely well with the educational philosophy of Orlando University. It would really be a waste if you don’t join."

The professors continued to vie for her, their arguments flying.

Chloe’s gaze seemed distant, as if she was recalling past events.

It felt like she was strolling through a fog. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t disperse the vast whiteness.

Oh well. Since there was nothing she really wanted to do, she might as well stick to her original plan.

The next day, she decided to respond to the school, filled out the necessary documents, and submitted her information to the Orlando University admissions system.
