Chapter 89: Tries to boss her around.
Arissa kissed the crown of Blu. head for the hundredth time. She has to visit the hospital right now but not spending time with Blu. for a few days turned her reluctant to drop the pet off with Rue.
Blu. purred with the kisses, also not wanting to be dropped off and Arissa could not help but giggle.
"Listen here baby," she kissed Blu. nose again affectionately, "Momma have to get to somewhere real quick, and if you are good and you behave well, I promise to give you an all-night cuddle with countless kisses," she promised as she tried dropping the cat.
Rue smiled listening to the conversation going on and well, her heart spewed more and more love out to the young miss as she was beginning to love her more.
"_no Blu. don’t do that," Arissa protested with a pout when rather than letting go, the cat clinched her upper arm and it hurt a bit because it was close to her little injury.
"She’s more energetic than a toddler," Rue chimed in as a reminder and Arissa could only smile at her before kneeling to the floor.
"Be a good girl, okay," Arissa suggested as she dropped Blu. to the floor. Kissing the crown of the cat’s head again, she stood straight.
"Thank you so much," she thanked Rue.
Rue nodded, "It’s only part of my duty,"
Arissa smiled with appreciation before looking down at Blu. and that was a wrong decision because of Blu. eyes turned doe and the cat was turning more and more irresistible.
"Hey baby," Arissa murmured as she knelt to Blu. level, "Just for the day. You have me all to yourself the moment I’m back,"
"Umm... Mrs. Wyatt, I guess you have to get going now," Rue suggested after glancing at the wall clock in her bedroom.
It’s almost an hour since Arissa came in so, she just gave her suggestion before it would be a bad decision to separate the two if this continues - or, so she thought.
Arissa kissed Blu. check before standing straight, "I’d be leaving now. Take care of her,"
Rue nodded and picked the cat from the floor. With everything she had observed, this cat is very special and she can’t afford to offend Mrs Wyatt due to a cat.
Arissa gave one last look at her cat and walked out of the door. In all honesty, she misses Blu. so much. It’s no longer just the two of them and now, they have to compromise to be able to have time for others.
Arissa walked out of the front door. Walking to the garage, she searched her purse for her motorcycle keys she dropped inside the moment the doctor left.
Finding it, her footsteps to the garage fastened but she came to an instant halt when she saw two bodyguards standing at each side of her motorcycle.
Giving them wary looks, she walked closer to her motorcycle, and her eyes immediately turned cold when she saw her motorcycle chained.
"Can I have an explanation concerning this?" Arissa asked as she glanced at both guards coldly as if she would piece them with her eyes soon.
The one on the right side bowed lightly, an act Arissa wasn’t interested in. She just wants to have the key to the chain and they can keep their pleasantries to themselves.
"It’s an order from Mr. Wyatt," the right-handed guard replied.
"My husband?" Arissa asked as she blinked in surprise. Why would Nicklaus give an order like this?
"Yes, Mrs. He wants you to rest at home, and if you want something urgently, he ordered us to get you whatever you would need outside the house," the right-handed guard clarified respectfully.
Arissa did not know if she should laugh or cry. And come to think of it, what’s his problem with her?
First, he refused to leave for work until his doctor was done treating her arm, and even when the doctor said she was alright and only needs to take the prescribed drugs and ointment, he still held an appointment with the doctor, and now this?
’Is this some kind of newfound controlling method?’ she asked herself as her temper flared up. Nicklaus is extremely getting on her nerves and it was beginning to irk her.
"Give me the keys," she demanded from the guards as if she had not heard who gave them the order.
The left-handed guard finally spoke up, "I’m so sorry Mrs we can’t let you have the keys. The boss ordered you to rest today and take a break,"
Arissa folded her arms on her chest and the air around her turned dominant and dangerously demanding that both guards looked away from her face since could no longer stand her icy glare.
And from her expression, she seemed annoyed and at the same time, they knew they can’t offend her so now, they were in an extremely tight situation that they began to regret taking the job.
They had thought she would be easy to handle but here they were, trying to escape her wrath - not like she would do anything but surely, Mr Wyatt would.
"Umm... Mrs," the right-handed guard spoke up and Arissa turned all of her annoyed focus on him, causing him to gulp forcefully as it now seemed as if he was the only one that annoyed her.
He does not know what annoying her would cost him but since Mr Wyatt was involved, the guard was sure that it would cost him something rash so in the heat of the moment under her glare, he continued,
"There’s an alternative,"
And this earned a curious look from the other guard and a tight glare from Arissa.
"What’s the alternative?" she asked him.
"The cars here are yours and you can ride in any one of them,"
Arissa looked around the garage filled with a huge collection of luxurious and classic cars but none caught her fantasy.
"Why can’t I have my motorcycle?" Arissa asked taking her eyes off the cars. She only wants her motorcycle.
Taking a low breath, the other guard replied, "The order is strictly from Mr. Wyatt and _"
"Okay," Arissa cut the guard off with calm understanding, "The keys," she demanded as she stretched out her hand.
The guards exchanged looks between themselves and Arissa got the message.
Seriously, that asshole needs some smark on that thick skull of his from her. How dare he try to boss me around, Arissa thought.
"He ordered you both to guide me around," she spoke up for them, making it easier.
"Yes, Ma’am," the left-handed guard replied.
"Don’t call me that. It gives me the creeps," she shunned the guard who just called her Ma’am, and the other could not help but smile.
"We have to go with you," the right guard chimed, and with a tired low breath, she nodded in approval, "First, take me to where my husband is,"
Knowing she can’t just carelessly take them to Adele’s hospital, she has to see Nicklaus first and get him to change this order he just fixed.
She was sure Nicklaus knows the hospital but even at that, she doesn’t want his whole guards to know the place so, she have to visit him first and make him reverse his stupid order.
