Chapter 298: Talk Sense Into Him.

By the time the couple freshened up and arrived downstairs for breakfast, it was already 10 a.m.

Arissa kept on running her fingers through the hair Nicklaus brushed for her in amazement. Yesterday he helped her with her bath both in the morning and when he returned from work and this morning, he helped her to dry her hair and brush it straight after she finished her bath.

She still asks if and how could Nicklaus be doing all of this without any romantic feelings towards her or if could it be he does feel something for her but does not want to accept his feelings.

Nicklaus noticed how she kept on brushing her hair with her finger and felt somehow. He felt as if she did not like how he did it and decided to ask, "Do you want me to brush it more?"

Arissa turned to him, "No," she answered nervously and played with the top of her hair. All the things he’s doing for her left her heart swoon.

They were not even in her room again but he suggested such. Did he plan to go back and begin brushing her hair if she said yes?

She would visit the hospital today and when she gets back, she would want them to discuss their marriage stance at the moment. From what she was told yesterday by Mrs. Wyatt, her father’s dismissal would have to be addressed and she wants to know what Nicklaus would say about it.

Nicklaus would top the ranking for the world’s best dotting husband and she imagined how much more he would offer if he loved her.

The elevator door opened and the couple stepped out hand in hand and strolled over to the dining table in comfortable silence.

Mrs. Wyatt had their meal arranged on the table and it was still warm when they arrived. Arissa kept on casting side glances at Nicklaus for reasons unknown to herself.

The couple had already had a short prayer for their meal when the dining door opened from the outside and Geal walked in.

He looked around the dining, his eyes fell on the couple and he fixed his eyes on Arissa for a second and passed his gaze over to his reserved friend before strolling down the dining table and sitting directly opposite Arissa.

Arissa stiffened when Geal joined them at the dining table. He heard her confession last night and how he questioned her about it made her scared he would say words out to his friend for her.

No, she does not want that. If Nicklaus should ever know how she feels about him, it should be directly from her.

Geal fixed his eyes on Arissa and his lips curled up into a smile. He saw the emotions in her eyes and how she avoided looking at him.

Well, she was lucky Mrs. Wyatt talked sense into him. Had Mrs. Wyatt not spoken some sense into him, he would have let his friend know that he wasn’t alone in his feelings.

"I see," Geal started facing Arissa and then he turned to Nicklaus, "You decided to spend a day willingly at home. What changed?" he inquired remembering how he once had to beg Nicklaus to stay back home since he was newly married then.

As usual, Nicklaus ignored Geal and placed a bowl of beef noddles before his wife who sat beside him, "Eat,"

Arissa gave Nicklaus a thin smile and a small nod of gratitude and placed her eyes back on her meal, ignoring Geal entirely.

She dreads looking at him. However, she had barely taken a soon of her meal when Geal called her out.

"Pretty damsel," he said, "take this,"

Arissa raised her face to him, she took in a small gulp when she saw it was nothing much he called her out for. He offered her a chopstick.

Arissa shook her head, "I can’t use that. I never learned how to," she humbly declined.

"I_"

"I could teach you how to," Nicklaus chimed in, cutting Geal off. Geal does not have to speak for Nicklaus to know what he wants to say. That up-to-no-good look in his eyes explained all of it.

Geal’s lips curled upward into a mischievous smirk and lifting both of his hands to the air in a surrendering manner, he passed the chopsticks over to Nicklaus.

Arissa raised her face from her meal when Nicklaus took possession of the chopsticks. "I can’t use that,"

Nicklaus smiled softly, "Who said you would? I would use it and you watch me," he assured her holding the chopstick properly.

Geal’s brow creased and he could only sip a glass of water and watch the couple with a smug expression.

He had breakfast earlier with Mrs. Wyatt but luckily for him, he caught sight of the couple after a short walk outside and his curiosity to see how far they had come did not let him move away. His feet moved on their own accord and "tartar" he found himself here.

Arissa watched Nicklaus use the chopstick but not without fixing her eyes on Geal. She feared a moment of letting him leave her sight would turn into a disaster as he might whisper something into Nicklaus’s ears and it left her unable to relax.

Nicklaus noticed Arissa’s emotions, "Did something happen, Love?"

Hearing Nicklaus, Geal’s eyes widened, his hold on to the glass loosened, letting the glass fall on the floor and shatter into pieces.

He jumped out of his chair, placed a hand on his chest, and began to cough out with great difficulty.

Arissa jolted when Geal made such commotion and Nicklaus pinned a hard chilling glare on Nicklaus.

Geal ignored the couple’s questioning eyes and continued coughing from great shock. After he had gotten his breathing back to normal, he stood straight, and like a madman, he pointed at Nicklaus and began to laugh harmoniously.
