Chapter 282: Terminating The Contract.

Chapter 282: Terminating The Contract.

The morning went beautifully for Arissa. Nicklaus did great to charm her more into loving him.

He helped to scrub her while she took her bath inside his deep bath and the cute part of it all was the struggle on his face when he tried to keep his hand off her sensitive spots.

She had her bath before eating so that Nicklaus would no longer reject the idea of the both of them sharing the meals.

Surprisingly, he also helped her to massage her whole body and the weird part of it all was that he was skilled and excellent in body massage.

She was about to ask him who he learned from when she remembered he might have helped his ex with a lot of massages just like he was doing with her.

She forced a smile to her lips, trying to feel positive. If he had time to be this tender with her, it also meant she could get into his heart.

Currently, now, It was 11 a.m. and she was all alone. Nicklaus left for work already and she wasn’t well-balanced to go to the hospital.

She had more conversations with Adele and Jocelyn through the phone and then decided to stay at home. Pondering over her relationship with Nicklaus and everything that comes with it, she decided to take the pills and after that, she threw the remaining content of it into the trash bag in her room.

No matter what happens now, she decides not to take the pills anymore and to rely on protected sex with her husband.

She was barely seated after disposing of the pills when a knock resounded on her door. Expecting Rue, she stood up from the bed and walked towards her door.

Opening her door, Mrs. Wyatt stood before her with Rue behind Mrs. Wyatt. Arissa’s eyes went to Rue’s hand and when she saw Blu. Her heart reached out to her baby.

"Come in," she said warmly to the both of them.

Mrs. Wyatt gave her a more affectionate smile before walking into the room with Rue and Blu. The moment the cat’s eyes landed on Arissa, he stretched himself and demanded to be released.

Arissa beamed at the cat and took her into her arms. "I’ve missed you so much," she said, kissing the face of the cat.

Mrs. Wyatt made a funny face to hold down her laugh as she watched Arissa bond with her pet as if it were human.

Blu. purred in delight when Arissa poured a thousand kisses on its face. Blu. looked away from Arissa’s face and scanned the room as if looking for something or someone.

Precisely, the cat was looking for someone. That someone who sent it away that night. Not seeing Nicklaus in the room, Blu. expression changed to what you could consider happy.

"Rue, could you please get us some orange juice," Mrs. Wyatt ordered and that was when Arissa remembered the presence of the two people in the room with her.

Rue left the room after the instruction. Arissa dropped Blu. to the floor and exchanged hugs and pleasantries with her mother-in-law.

Mrs. Wyatt gave her a proud smile after stepping away from the hug, "How have you been?"

Arissa laughed, "I have been fine," she said slowly as if not sure, "Yes, I’ve been fine except for occasional mood swings,"

Mrs. Wyatt nodded and walked towards Arissa’s room couches. She took a seat on one of them and Arissa did the same.

She felt seriousness excluding from Mrs. Wyatt and it was a rare moment but a sight to behold. In as much as she loves how kind this woman before her was, Arissa would have to confess that she looked hot while serious.

When Arissa sat down, Mrs. Wyatt placed her palm softly on Arissa’s own, "Your marriage is almost three months old," she began, softly squeezing Arissa’s hand.

Arissa nodded, her eyes darting from her palm under Mrs. Wyatt’s own and the woman’s eyes. She has a lot of questions to ask concerning the divorce but she feels like to hold back.

What confused her the most was the benefits. She still hasn’t fathomed what her parents have that the Wyatt family does not.

Arissa stared long at Mrs. Wyatt, "Can we terminate all of these? The contract and everything?" She questioned, taking the bull by the horns. She did not expect Mrs. Wyatt would give her an open floor to talk about this.

"Terminate?" Mrs. Wyatt repeated to be sure she heard well. They were not three months old yet and her daughter-in-law considered terminating the contract.

What charm has her son placed on this poor soul? She thought, almost blushing in Arissa’s place.

"Yes," Arissa affirmed not taking note of the happiness in Mrs. Wyatt’s eyes, "Like divorce and the rest,"

At the mention of a divorce, Mrs Wyatt’s happiness was crushed but she did well to mask it.

Mrs. Wyatt cursed at her emotions. How did she not see that coming? Terminating the contract would be risky but at the mention of termination, she felt all excited forgetting that terminating the contract comes in handy.

Arissa continued asking in her quest for knowledge of what she was into, "Tell me, what are the consequences that would come with terminating the contract or divorcing me?" She was trying to figure something out and it was evident in her tune.

Arissa knew Nicklaus must have an upper hand in this contract and from this question she just asked, she hoped Mrs. Wyatt would disclose more information because she also deserved to know.

Mrs. Wyatt took in a deep breath and with a low voice, she decided to explain. "Things must not go wrong in your marriage, Arissa. If my son divorces you, the consequences would be on him alone but if he tries anything in line with terminating the contract.... am sorry but the consequences would fall strongly on the company like a giant rock and I do not want that,"
