His Toxic Addiction
Chapter 256: Innocent As Before.

Chapter 256: Innocent As Before.

Alfred’s screams could be heard as all the leeches poured on his body sucked into him.

The leeches covered his whole body like a cloth he put on down to his toenails and from every angle, they made sure to give him a painless bite.

There was no one inside where he was. The place was pitch dark which was beginning to traumatize him.

His screams heightened when the leeches climbed themselves to his neck. They climbed on top of each other and found themselves to his neck.

"Let... I, let me go, Bastards!!!" he yelled out words when one of the leeches found itself onto his chin.

He struggled to release himself from the seat he was chained on but it was a fruitless attempt. Rather, he made more noise.

"BASTARDS!!!" he yelled in rage when two more leeches found themselves under his lips.

His body shook from fear, "Let me go.... Nicklaus, I know you can hear me. If something bad happens to me..." he said breathlessly but could not finish his threat.

He had to keep his mouth shut so the leech that was close to his lips won’t get into his mouth.

And that marked the beginning of his nightmare. He froze in horror when he felt two moving to his nostrils and a few more climbing unto his face.

.....

"Hasn’t she still replied to her emails or your calls?" Geal asked the moment he walked into Valeria’s room in the hotel they logged in together.

He has no plans to stay home. He prefers being here so he could easily club and be merry at night.

Valeria turned away from her phone screen and faced her door. "Learn how to knock, Geal," she scowled at his unchanging bad habit. Could he not for once recognize she was now a woman who needs a certain level of privacy when alone in her room?

"Who’s that?" Logan who she was on a video call with asked over the phone.

Valeria faced her phone again. With a side glare towards Geal, she answered, "My annoying bug of a friend."

Logan nodded, "Oh! Alright,"

Her mood went back to cheerful and she asked, "Would you want to say, hi?"

Logan frowned, "No," he said firmly and to Valeria’s surprise, Logan hung up on her without saying a proper goodbye as usual.

She frowned at her screen.

Geal noticed her frown and came over to her bed, "Who was that?" he asked.

It was obvious her mood turned ugly because of whoever she was speaking to.

"A friend," Valeria murmured, "A long-time good friend," she added to quench the hunch feeling she was beginning to have about Logan.

His change was drastic and he was keeping a lot of things away from her. Also, he hasn’t still told her how he got his legs done.

She felt like she was with a stranger when it comes to his attitude of dogging some kinds of questions.

No doubt he still loves her. He does love her. If there were to be any difference, it would be the fact she felt more love than before but his new secretive attitude threatened their bond.

Or could it be she was at fault? For staying away for so long? No matter how she tries to fix it in, she could not kill the feeling he wasn’t all good and innocent as before.

He doesn’t even live a normal life anymore. Even in his own house, he has lots of men around him for reasons best known to him.

She redialed his number but it was abruptly cut off. Valeria blinked in surprise and said his number out loud to be sure he was the person she tried calling.

Geal frowned at her noisy attitude, "Hasn’t Miss Grayson replied to you yet?" he brushed the topic concerning her friend aside.

Valeria slumped on her bed, "She hasn’t."

"She answered none of them?"

Valeria stared at her ceiling, "She did not."

"Bloody hell!" Geal cursed.

Valeria chortled softly, "Language please,"

Geal glared at her, "What are you? A six-year-old?"

Valeria turned to him with a smug expression, "I’m no six years old but I am your little sister,"

Geal scoffed, "Little? Did you say Little?"

Valeria nodded with a childish grin, "Or would you accept that I am older than you?" her expression turned serious.

Ever since they were kids, they had always argued about who would take the elder title. Geal was only a week older than Valeria which caused them to have a thousand arguments whenever their birthdays came close.

For that reason, he said she would always be little to him, and to her advantage, Valeria used those words against him whenever she needed any of his possessions and stuff he would never let out.

Back w when they were kids, with her puppy eyes and running nose, she took almost all of his toys.

"Never," Geal countered, "Even a second older counts,"

Valeria grinned at him, "If so, language." she ordered.

Geal shook his head and sat on her bed, "I let, Freya, stay," he shared.

Valeria instantly sat up, "Why? How could you? She deceived us and wasted our time and resources,"

"Celia deceived us," he corrected, "She can model alongside Jocelyn and until Jocelyn decides she goes, she would stay,"

Valeria’s lips parted in shock, "I don’t like her," she grumbled.

Geal agreed, "I also do not like her,"

Valeria chuckled, "Why keep her?"

"She could become a permanent model with us after Jocelyn leaves. We are to nurture her," "That’s ridiculous. That girl barely knows how to face the camera." she argued.

Rather than arguing, Geal asked, "Did you forget the part where I said she would model alongside, Jocelyn?"

Valeria blinked in understanding, "But do you think she would be a fast learner? What if Jocelyn doesn’t want her around for being an imposter all this while," she reasoned her worries with him.

They can not let this partnership deal flop no matter what.

"That would be left for us to figure out when the time comes," he stood up and placed a hand on Valeria’s leg, "Try again tonight,"
