Chapter 211: Clue And Hints.

Logan squinted his eyes as he stared into the monitor screen he’d been staring at for hours now. The air around him was darkly charged and everyone - even Vincent - gave him his way.

Pushing everything related to Mr. Adam and the Lincolns away, he moved his investigation over to the Wyatt family.

He felt there was something he needs to know about them but to his disadvantage, they were private. Strictly private.

There was also nothing dark about them. Their record was perfectly clean with no spot on it which heightened his suspicion of them.

They don’t have to be openly dark to run things underneath. He doesn’t even suspect them to be dark either. He only suspects Nicklaus Wyatt.

With how his plan was beginning to fail and how Mr. Adams was being - should he say protected? He felt something off because Mr. Adam she knows doesn’t have much upper hand to hide himself this way.

Annoyingly, even Arissa.

He met her at the hospital the last time they came together but her footage was no longer there when he searched for it. Whoever was doing that was doing it for her safety.

Mr. Adams would have been a good suspect but right now, even Mr. Adams was being protected and he has to let go of guess works and work on clues and hints.

Something wasn’t right.

Honestly, he still had doubts. He hoped his guess would be wrong because if right, he would begin to shed blood and it won’t be a good tale for the next person to tell.

It was in the middle of the night, which helped to his advantage as the whole yard was quiet. The only sound that could be heard in his room was the sound of his impatient whistle and the sound of his tap on the keyboard keys.

Making Logan more suspicious, for the past eight hours he had been typing without a clue being found. Nicklaus Wyatt wouldn’t have tightened his security this way if he doesn’t visit places or people he wasn’t ought to.

Logan was obsessed with his determination to undercover Nicklaus. Being a skilled hacker, it baffled him it had been hours already but still, nothing have been found. Not even an inkling.

Turning his mood more sour, his door was abruptly opened from the outside. Without thinking and angered his thoughts were abruptly cut off that way, he swiftly threw the knife beside him to the disrespectful fellow who had opened his door that way without knocking.

Blood drained from Sarah’s face when she miraculously dogged the knife from cutting through her face.

Even without looking Logan was good with his throw and Sarah had just experienced it. It left her stunned and the laptop in her hand trembled.

The knife dropped on the floor with a harsh sound which made Logan turn to the door. He wanted to know that lucky intruder who missed his throw.

Facing Sarah, his eyes turned dark, "Why are you here?"

Sarah gulped nervously. He did not even apologize for almost ruining her face or better still, killing her. He brushed it off so casually as if her life was nothing more than the sand.

"Speak up," he yelled.

Sarah jolted at his yell. She started at him as if he was a different human. Though they haven’t seen him for days, and she doesn’t know him so well, he felt different.

It hurt her and at the same time taught her a lesson. He can decide to kill her anytime soon as she means nothing to him.

With a shocked voice, she began. "I... I think," she cleared her throat. "Here," her voice suddenly turned courageous again as she walked towards him with the system in her hand.

Logan raised a brow at her.

"Vincent said he found something," she explained.

Logan’s nose squinted, "Vincent called you?"

"He did not." she placed the system on his keyboard stand, "I’d be leaving now," she told him.

"What is this about?" Logan thundered.

He was already too frustrated to accommodate her attitude. After walking into his door without knocking, she’s acting like all teens.

Sarah said nothing to him. Looking down at the laptop she just placed before him, she pressed a couple of keys.

Activating a site, she played a video.

"You can leave," he ordered her getting an insight of what the video would be about from just a glance. Since it was coming from her, she might have watched it but still, she should leave before his frustration gets the best of him.

Sarah left the room. The moment she closed the door behind her, Logan took out his phone and placed Vincent on a call before playing the video.

Starting at the screen of the laptop, Vincent answered in no time.

"What did you find out?" he questioned the moment Vincent appeared on his phone screen.

"I found out a couple of things. Has Sarah brought in what I sent?"

"She has,"

"Good," Vincent heaved, "That video was gotten from Mr. Adams’s neighborhood footage. And another video which was from the night he was attacked is attached to the first one."

Logan nodded and took his eye to the laptop screen before pressing the play button.

"Where are you heading?" Logan asked not taking his eyes off the playing video.

"We were not the only ones after Mr. Adams, neither are we the only ones after Mr. Lincoln’s family. Our plans flopped a lot and though I might not be so sure about this, I think Nicklaus Wyatt just involved himself."

He went on. "When the video gets to twelve minutes, take a pause and study the scene. Also, they seemed to know we would be coming, they had made a throughout plan ten steps away,"

Vincent studied Logan’s expression, "I’m afraid Nicklaus Wyatt knows more than we do which makes his plan steps away," he informed.
