Chapter 200: Anger? Lust? Pain?

Geal made the company floor his runway.

His well-ironed blue suit framed his lean model god body while his carefree vibe captivated all the females around.

To a few of the beautiful female employees around, he threw them a mischievous wink or two accompanied by a knee-weakening smile which rendered most of them speechless.

His shamelessness did not stop there. To a few, he even blew them an air kiss. He was in an extremely good mood today and he believed the ladies should have a taste of it.

Getting to the elevator that leads to Nicklaus’s floor, the guards went away from the elevator front and gave him his way.

Geal whistled his way up and when the elevator got to Nicklaus’s floor, he strolled towards Nicklaus’s door. Seeing Amber on her desk, he gave the middle-aged woman a dramatic salute which she replied to with an eye roll.

"Don’t go in," Amber yelled from where she was seated when she saw Geal almost at the CEO’s door.

Geal’s expression changed, "Why shouldn’t I?"

Amber took her eyes back to her laptop screen, "His wife is in there. He strictly wants no one in," her voice turned sharp as she meet Geal’s eyes, "Not even you," she forwarned.

It was now Geal’s turn to roll his eyes. "You don’t have to worry about me." he gave the middle-aged lady a wink also.

"That’s nauseous," she hurt his pride.

Geal laughed and turned away from her.

"Geal..." he just waved a hand at her as her words fell on deaf ears.

His mood was lively, it also touched everywhere. He just couldn’t wait to tell the Frosty Ice Prince the new gold he just received.

He also can’t wait to boast about how she would be on his bed soonest. As usual, without knocking, he opened the door to his friend’s office.

The couple kissing in the office paused instantly by the soft sliding sound from the door.

With a grateful expression to whoever came to stop her from making a mistake, she turned towards the door only to see Geal standing there and her smile dropped.

With intense anger rushing through Nicklaus’s veins, he faces the door, and his anger multiplies. How dare Geal spoil his moment again.

Staring at Geal, Nicklaus gritted his teeth when he remembered this wasn’t the first time Geal had spoilt his moment.

Arissa tore Nicklaus’s hands away from her and with a straight face as if nothing was about to happen between them, she walked out of the office but not without giving Geal a deadly glare.

She was extremely furious right now. A worker seeing them would have been better but Geal walking in on them was more than she could comprehend.

Her mind flashed back to the lingerie incident and she suspected he would make a big deal out of this.

Geal chuckled at her and with an outstretched hand, he offered her a handshake. Arissa turned to Nicklaus and without taking Geal’s outstretched hand, she left the office.

"What are you doing here?" Nicklaus snapped at his smiling friend the moment Arissa left.

The smile washed off Geal’s face. His playful aura immediately disappeared. "Was I banned from coming into this place?"

At Geal’s question, Nicklaus saw red. The frustration of not figuring Arissa out and the reality their kiss ended too suddenly and she was still mad at him fueled him and he got more angered with Geal’s presence.

"Weren’t you told I need no one at this moment?"

Geal walked further into the office. "I’m no one, Nicklaus. Why was she here so early and why were you both kissing?" he asked, unable to stand his discovery anymore.

No, it couldn’t be his friend kissing.

"Mind how you question me," Nicklaus said in an authoritative warning voice.

"Why?" Geal taunt. He was riled up by what he just saw earlier. What charm has his pretty damsel placed on his friend even to lure him to the point of kissing her?

Nicklaus vowed never to kiss anyone. His friend was one who keeps his vows. His hate alone for women was already enough to fuel his vow.

Geal’s eyes widened like one who discovered a gem, "No!"

Nicklaus’s jaw clenched. "No, what?!"

"Don’t tell me you’ve fallen for her,"

"What?" Nicklaus spat out, "Mind what you _"

Geal cut him off, "If not, why did you let her kiss you?" he pressed on.

Nicklaus turned away from his friend, "That kiss was nothing. It doesn’t change anything between us," he lied to Geal through gritted teeth but more to himself.

"I saw those emotions flash through your eyes," Geal refused to back down, "Why those emotions if you haven’t fallen for her?"

Nicklaus’s heart clenched and pain flashed through his eyes as he asked, "What emotions? Anger? Lust? Pain?" he turned to Geal, "How many of those did you see?"

"None,"

"What?" Nicklaus was taken aback by the reply.

Geal sat on the couch, "I saw none of those. Rather I saw emotions you were never supposed to have,"

Nicklaus’s jaw clenched harder, "You lie!"

He knew Geal was telling the truth but that was a truth he only want to tell to himself. A truth he alone wants to acknowledge. A truth meant for no other ears to hear.

A truth he would die with a a truth he would never admit.

"You care about her," Geal’s voice softened, "Why?"

"We spoke on this before and I did give you a reply," Nicklaus dogged the question as he walked back to his desk.

"I warned you," Geal reminded him.

All happy emotions he came with all turned soured. In fact, he even forgot why he came. He wasn’t ready to lose his friend, at least not yet.

His father died because of a woman. The same goes for his father and the fact his friend seems not to learn from those encounters burned him.

Nicklaus was going down a dangerous lane and he can’t just stay back and watch him go. He must bring his friend back to his senses.

Nicklaus sat on his desk and started at Geal. "You don’t have to worry. I’d step away when things turn south," he promised, agreeing with Geal’s words.
