His Toxic Addiction -
Chapter 181: When She Gets Older.
Chapter 181: When She Gets Older.
Sarah let out a soundless scream as they poured more disinfectants into her wound. Her throat was already sore from so much screaming.
The inhuman treatment Vincent was giving to her was too much and she couldn’t endure them anymore. She had told them countless times she don’t know where Mr. Adams was or if there was a spy around them but he refused to believe her.
To make matters worst, the gang hated her and they all made sure to use this free chance Logan gave to them to torture her.
She sniffed as she regretted not dying alongside her family. She would have just died with them and ended all of these.
Her whole bone was dislocated and she cried fresh tears whenever she see the marks around her body. She thought Vincent was more human but he was worst than any other person in the gang.
She hasn’t seen Logan since their last encounter. Which made her ask herself what she saw in Logan that made her stand by him.
He’s a beast, a monster, and a devil but she still wanted to see him. She still wanted to catch a glimpse of him as her heart yearned for him.
How she fell in love with him, she can’t tell and how she fell this deep with not even her face peeking out, she still can’t tell.
But she knew she loved him that night. That night he saved her from Alfred, her heart triple fell for him and dumbed her realized it late.
She gritted her teeth as she stared at Vincent from the floor while the nurse closed her injuries. "Why do you keep on cleaning the wounds?" she asked gripping the bed she was laying on tightly to help release the pain.
Her whole back was discolored. This was her daily dosage, beaten till the end of the day and a nurse cleaned her wound with a tray of healthy meals at the end of the day.
"Because Logan said so," Vincent said with unfiltered hate, "I would have loved to kill you but I have to take his orders,"
She was making things hard for all of them with her lies. It would be best to kill her and go on with their lives like she never existed.
Sarah released a tortured sigh as a tear escaped her eyes when she heard him. If you ask her, she would also prefer he kill her.
If she haven’t known better, she would have thought Logan cared. The nurse arranged the last bandage and helped her zip her dress.
Done with her business, the nurse left the room and a maid came in with a tray of food for her to eat.
Sarah looked at the food before her and a sad chuckle left her lips. Without wasting her time to ponder if there was poison in it or not - because there was nothing Vincent can’t do, she picked up her cutleries and began eating slowly but hungrily.
Vincent came in front of her, "You are still not ready to tell us what you know?" he asked.
Sarah said no word to him as she just munched her food with the last drop of strength left in her. She had always said she knows nothing but they refused to believe so it’s better she just doesn’t talk.
The door was pulled open from the outside, turning towards the doorSarah’sabreathhe caught up in her throat when she saw who was standing right there and with a sigh of relief, Vincent walked over to Logan.
Logan just glanced at him before fixing his eyes back on Sarah and with a firm tune, he ordered, "Leave us, Vincent,"
Vincent stared daggers at Sarah before leaving the room. He closed the door behind him and when he left, Sarah turned away from Logan and faced her food.
The room fell into silence with only the sound of Logan’s feet kissing the floor as he walked towards her the only sound between them.
Logan sat beside her on the bed. Scanning her outlook, there was a minute silence between them until Sarah broke it, "I don’t know anything," she plead her innocence.
Logan did not say a word.
She went on, "I wouldn’t have thrown Victor under the bus if I still planned to walk with Mr. Adams. Why can’t you think and believe me?"
Logan just blinked as he listened to her. If he believe her, who would he hold responsible? There was no close suspect, she was the only one and she kept on saying she was innocent - was she?
"I could help you search for him if you want, please end this" Sarah pleaded again, breaking his train of thought.
Logan stood up from the bed, "Finish with your meal first then we talk," he said.
Sarah stared at him and when he turned away to leave, her weak self rushed over to him. She knocked the whole tray of food to the floor but she never cared.
Logan turned to her with a stern voice, about to yell at her clumsiness it irritated him but his words seized up when Sarah pressed her lips on his with no fear.
He was annoyed but he let her do her business and she did it so well that he couldn’t resist anymore and found himself opening up for her tongue to come in.
While she kissed him, he wondered the kind of person she was. Wasn’t she supposed to hate him after all of those tortures?
With time, he found himself kissing her back. He grabbed a hand full of her head and took control of the kiss with her age at the back of his mind.
No matter what happens, she was still a kid and he doesn’t do kids. She wasn’t even his type of woman, but her seductions might work when she gets older.
