His Toxic Addiction
Chapter 172: What Are These Weird Feelings?

Chapter 172: What Are These Weird Feelings?

Arissa took in a deep breath as she traced her collarbones with her slender fingers, remembering all of Nicklaus’s marks on her.

Her hands slowly moved up to her neck and she softly rubbed on it. She missed him. She was no longer going to suppress it, she miss him and she want him to be back.

She wants to feel him, she wants to hit him, she wants to argue with him, wants to hug him. So many things she wants to do with him again but most importantly, she wants to kiss him.

She never thought she would feel this way. She don’t know why she was feeling this way. The last time they stayed away from each other, it lasted ten days and he came to her first so, why can’t she just forget him until whenever he decides to come home?

’Who knows, he might be having fun with some other woman out there,’ she thought but immediately shook her head in doubt.

"He isn’t seeing another woman," she murmured to herself confidently, ’but why isn’t he yet back? He said three days,’ she almost cried.

She had been sure she could stay for long without him but it seems she was just making a pointless boast because right now all she wanted to be okay was to snuggle into him while she listened to the storm outside.

She turned away from her ceiling and started at her French window while she listened to the rain. With a deep sigh, she sat up from the bed.

It was already a week since he sent his last text, and she hasn’t yet replied but still, she wanted his texts to fill her phone or better still, a call. She wants to hear his voice again.

That dominant voice of his that makes her toe curl, she wanted to hear it again, even if it was just a ’hmm,’. She has never felt this way thus, it was all new to her as she was confused about what to do.

She picked up her phone from her lampstand. Unlocking it, she lay on the bed and reread his messages while she imagined he just sent them. Right now, she felt abandoned.

A smile graced her sad features when she saw he was online and with fast fingers, she replied to a few of his messages before placing her phone back on her lampstand.

She flinched unexpectedly when she heard the raging thunder from the rain. Raising her duvet to her nose, she sang the poem she unusually chorus with whenever ever it was raining this way.

The weather these few days hasn’t been favorable and this was how she always had to sing herself to sleep for almost a week now.

The chorus she sang was childish to listen to but Arissa did not care as she sang on to take her fear away with her eyes tightly shut.

Her shut eyes perked open when her phone rang. Stretching her hand to the lampstand, her eyes lit up when she saw that he was the one and she immediately sat up on the bed. Right now, Arissa was akin to a scared child shown candy.

Without hesitation, she answered the call and slowly, she placed it on her ear, "Nick," her voice was filled with yearning as it came out like a pleading whisper.

"Love," his voice resounded from the other end. It came out raspy and Arissa could not help but swallow some air to fill her lungs.

She had missed him so much that her heartbeat fastened just by the sound of his voice. Her hand holding her phone tightened as if she wanted to feel him from the phone.

"Nicklaus I_" miss you, she wanted to say but trailed off. She doesn’t want to say questionable words to him. It would sound weird to him if she says that.

Nicklaus kept quiet as he waited for her to say what she wanted to without interrupting but when she said nothing more, he cleared his throat, sending more butterflies to swim across her abdomen.

"How have you been?" he asked with concern and she blinked speechlessly. For a moment, she forgot how to talk.

"You sound tired," she said when she finally got back her tongue and remembered how to breathe. What are all these weird feelings?

"Yes," he replied from the other end and Arissa’s mood fell. She don’t know what to say but she felt like hearing his voice and if he was tired, that wasn’t possible because he would have to rest.

She forced a smile on her lips and said thoughtfully, "Work must be tiring,"

"No," she heard him chuckle, "Your door is," he added and all air left Arissa’s lungs - in a good way.

"My door?" she questioned and her eyes darted towards her door as she climbed off her bed. Could he be just before her door? Was she thinking about him so deeply today because he was close by?

"Yes. You changed your lock," he replied.

And Arissa don’t know when she got to the door as before she knew it, she found herself opening her door. She turned into a statue when she saw who was before her.

"Nick," she breathed as she watched him like he was meant to be a ghost. He looked breathtaking with his ruffled hair and tired eyes.

Nicklaus took his phone off his ear. His jaw flexed as he stared at her with an unsure expression. And before Arissa would part those seductive lips of hers, he seized them in his.

He missed her - like desperately missed her and with that emotion flowing, he pressed her body into his and invaded her mouth passionately.

Arissa did not just stand still. She kissed him back with the same passion mixed with sweetness as she pulled them further into the room while Nicklaus shut the door behind them using his feet.

His hand roamed around her, feeling her body if she had taken good care of herself or not, without reducing the passion and heat in the kiss.

He was skeptical about calling her when he arrived. Whereas, the texts he sent a long time ago were still left unanswered so with that, the zeal to call her was left on a thread line.

He was already about to move into his room when he saw her text and now, here they are, kissing and sucking.

Arissa’s hand went into his hair and yanked his soft locks as she deepened the kiss. God, she never knew she would miss those lips this way.

Her hands took off his slightly wet suit jacket and he helped her throw it on the floor. Arissa ran her hand slowly down his hard muscles before clenching onto his inner blue shirt for support as she was becoming wet for him.

Fuck! She missed him, she missed everything about him - even his breath. She wasn’t satisfied with just a kiss, she wanted more. More than a kiss to make up for all their times away.

Nicklaus sensed her desire and he blinked in surprise. Sitting on her bed, he placed her firmly on his strong lap.

With his hands firmly on each side of her hips, he deepened the kiss and in seconds, his hands grabbed her ass cheeks.

"Mmmgh_" she moaned when he caressed her there and her body became highly sensitive. Getting a hold of herself, she held his shoulders and parted the kiss.

When she parted the kiss, Nicklaus immediately hugged her, unable to stay away from her scent anymore.

"You smell addicting," he muttered with his nose buried in the nook of her neck.

Arissa was taken aback by the sudden hug and the compliment strengthened her as she hugged him back and confessed, "I missed you," she whispered into his ears as if shy to let those words out.

Nicklaus stiffened and suddenly, he chuckled. The sound of it caused Arissa to smile which she hid immediately.

"All you would have done was send a message across," he told her, not parting the hug. This was their first willing hug and there was no other blissful feeling in the world that could be matched to it.

Nicklaus’s hands went off her ass cheek and held her waist to himself, "I also missed you," at his words, the cloud rumbled which made Arissa unconsciously cling to him from fear.

Nicklaus chuckled, "I never took you for a scary kitten," he taunted but held her more protectively.

Arissa took her face off his neck and stared into his face, "That’s because I’m not," she disagreed.

Nicklaus just smiled and pat her head which earned a surprised glare from her. He seized her lips again and after a short while, they parted the kiss and he hugged her again.

"I don’t know but I miss you so much," he told her.

Arissa said nothing but hugged him to herself, so tight that they could feel the next person’s heartbeat.

"Let’s stay this way for a while,", he pleaded with her, "You can let me know when you feel uncomfortable, and I promise to leave,"

"No, I want you to stay. We can share the bed," she wanted to say but rather, she just replied with a simple, "Okay,"

After that, no more word was heard as they bonded in silence with their soft breath as the only sound in the room.
