At York City airport...

Miguel’s men escorted Lanny, Kimmy, and Aaron inside the airport. The Ivankov Patriarch was determined to bring them back home today.

They would be using the private plane of the Ivankov Clan.

"Bro, can you see it? Mommy is unusually quiet. She looks like she doesn’t want to return home with us." Kimmy whispered, secretly observing Lanny.

Aaron who was playing with his phone also glanced in Lanny’s direction. She kept pacing back and forth in front of the kids.

"Maybe she is worrying about Aunt Athena. They are always together. I wonder why Grandpa is forcing our mother to go back with us. And Uncle V didn’t even come here to send us off." Aaron felt that there was something strange with the way everyone was acting.

"Did Grandpa and Uncle V argue?" Kimmy murmured.

They were waiting for the airport clearing and go signal before they could take off.

"Miss Lanny, you should board the plane in fifteen minutes," a guard informed her.

Lanny just nodded her head. Then she took a deep sigh.

’Once I board the plane, there will be no turning back. I don’t have a reason to come back here.’ Lanny thought. Then Enzo’s gorgeous face flashed in her mind.

’Is this really a goodbye for us?’ Lanny clenched her fists. She had a somber expression on her face.

While Lanny was lost in her thoughts, Kimmy’s phone vibrated. Her face brightened up the moment she saw the message.

She quickly typed her response before shifting her gaze back to her mother. The exchanges of messages continued until Lanny approached the kids.

"Aaron, Kimmy. Get ready. We are going to board the plane in five minutes."

"Okay, Mommy!" Aaron responded.

On the other hand, Kimmy looked around, searching for someone.

"Mommy, where is Grandpa?" Kimmy asked with her curious eyes.

"He will not join us. He booked a separate flight. He is dealing with something. We are going to use the private plane," Lanny replied.

Although Miguel would not join them, he made sure to leave some guards to escort Lanny and the kids.

Kimmy simply nodded. Then she was back to typing on her phone.

Aaron arched his eyebrow, noticing Kimmy’s behavior. He leaned closer and whispered, "Who are you texting?"

Kimmy signaled Aaron to keep quiet.

"It’s a secret," she replied before giggling giddily.

Aaron just frowned at her remark.

"Are you up to something, Kimmy?" Aaron asked her, eyeing her suspiciously.

Kimmy giggled once more.

"Bro, do you want to leave or stay?" Kimmy asked him expectantly. She ignored his question.

Aaron fell silent for a moment. Then he thought about Athena and Dominique. He didn’t say a proper goodbye to both of them. They were the people he would surely miss once he was back in their country.

"If I were to choose, then I would like to stay here longer," Aaron replied truthfully.

Kimmy bobbed her head while grinning broadly. "Then you have to cooperate with me!"

Before Aaron could say a word, Kimmy whispered something to him. He just nodded while listening to Kimmy’s words attentively.

Aaron blinked in amusement. After a while, a wide grin flashed on Aaron’s adorable face. The kids looked at each other meaningfully.

It did not take long before the guards approached Lanny and the children.

"We shall leave now, Miss Ivankov. Follow us."

Lanny turned to Kimmy and Aaron. "Kids, let’s go!"

Aaron and Kimmy rose from their respective seats. However, before they could take another step, Kimmy suddenly collapsed on the floor.

"Mommy! Help! Kimmy fainted!" Aaron yelled, making Lanny turn around.

Her eyes widened in shock upon seeing Kimmy lying unconscious on the floor. Aaron was kneeling in front of her, shaking Kimmy’s body.

"Kimmy!" Lanny sprinted to her. She crouched down, scooping Kimmy in her arms.

"Mommy! We need to bring her to the hospital now!" Aaron said.

Lanny nodded. "Prepare the car! We need to bring my daughter to the hospital!"

The bodyguards quickly responded. It was an emergency. They had to postpone the flight back home.

"Inform Don Miguel!" One guard instructed his comrade.

"Yes, Sir!"

Kimmy was rushed to the nearest hospital. Lanny didn’t know what happened to her daughter. Just a while ago, she looked so happy and energetic.

Why would she suddenly pass out?

While carrying Kimmy in her arms, Lanny checked her temperature. It was normal. But no matter how hard they tried, she wasn’t waking up.

Aaron also started to cry which was also unusual. Aaron was always calm and composed. But this time Aaron was panicking and appeared to be so worried.

With that, Lanny assumed that Kimmy was seriously ill this time. There was no way she would fake this. And Lanny trusts Aaron’s judgment.

If Kimmy was playful and full of tricks, Aaron was quite the opposite. He was very mature for his young age and well-behaved.

"Can you drive faster?!" Lanny started to feel uneasy.

"Yes, Ma’am. I’m on it."

The car sped up. Soon, they reached the hospital. Lanny ran to the emergency room together with Aaron. The guard carried Kimmy.

The doctor immediately checked on Kimmy’s vitals.

"Ma’am, you should wait outside. The doctor will take care of your daughter." The nurse said, urging Lanny and the guards to go to the waiting area.

"Please! Take care of my daughter! She suddenly collapsed. I don’t know what is wrong with her." Lanny begged her.

The nurse nodded as she escorted them to the waiting area. The nurse interviewed Lanny and Aaron about Kimmy.

Meanwhile, inside the emergency room, the unconscious Kimmy was now fully awake! Her eyes lit up as soon as she saw the doctor.

"Daddy!" She sat up and hugged him.

"Kimmy!" Enzo hugged her tightly. He felt so happy that Kimmy called him ’Daddy’ even though she thought Enzo was just her adoptive Daddy.

Lanny didn’t recognize Enzo earlier because he disguised himself as a doctor. He was wearing a mask and a doctor’s coat.

"Daddy! I don’t want to leave without saying goodbye. I’m going to miss you." Kimmy said in her sad tone.

Enzo broke the hug and ruffled her hair.

"You are not going anywhere, Kimmy. Your Daddy is here. I’m going to take care of you and your Mommy."

Kimmy pouted her lips. "But Grandpa is forcing Mommy to go back with us. Grandpa said our mommy will marry Uncle Dmitri. Grandpa said he will be our daddy."

Enzo cupped Kimmy’s face.

"Listen to me, Kimmy. I’m your father. Your biological father. I’m not allowing your mother to marry another man."

Kimmy was taken aback for a moment.

"What did you just say, Daddy? You are my biological father?" She blinked in puzzlement.

Enzo smiled and nodded frantically. "Yes. I’m not your adopted father. I’m your real father."

Kimmy’s shocked expression was replaced by a joyful one. She couldn’t believe it! She finally found her real father!

"Daddy! Daddy! I found my Daddy!" Kimmy pounced on him once again. She couldn’t contain her happiness. Her cheerful mood was contagious. Enzo couldn’t help but smile as he carried his daughter in his arms.

"Yes, I’m your Daddy. I will take care of you starting today. I won’t allow anyone to separate us."

"I love that, Daddy!" Kimmy responded enthusiastically.

"But to do that, I’ll need your help to convince your mother," Enzo said, smiling sheepishly.

"Haha! Don’t worry, Daddy! I’m going to help you! We are partners in crime, remember?"
