Chapter 275: A Decision To Make

After the concert, Dominique was not in the mood. Just like others, he was still thinking about the real score between Athena and Vladimir.

"A penny for your thoughts," Ashton’s voice interrupted Dominique. He bumped his shoulder before placing a bottle of beer in front of his best friend.

Dominique grabbed the beer, ignoring Ashton’s words. He downed his drink without saying anything.

Since Dominique was silent, Ashton opened up first, talking about Athena.

"You know what... Athena is my girlfriend. But I feel like there are still a lot of things I don’t know about her." Ashton smiled, his fingers playing with his beer.

Dominique glanced at him guiltily. He knew that Athena just used Ashton to hide her affair with him.

"Do you know the guy who spoke for her on the stage?" Ashton asked Dominique.

"He is Vladimir Ivankov, Athena’s cousin," He replied just to console Ashton. He could sense that Ashton was also jealous of the guy.

Ashton was taken aback when he heard that. "Athena’s cousin? How did you know that?"

"I met him several times. He also came to my company once for a business proposal." Dominique’s expression turned grim as he realized that Vladimir’s visit was intentional.

’I guess... he already knew that I’m Sabrina’s husband.’ He thought to himself, his fingers gripping his bottle of beer tightly.

"I didn’t expect that you knew someone close to Athena. When did the two of you become close?" Ashton started questioning Dominique.

"It’s because of Sasha. They are friends. Have you forgotten about that?" Dominique used Sasha as an excuse.

"By the way, when is Sasha coming back? Is she still abroad for a business trip?" Ashton hadn’t seen Sasha for a while. And she didn’t hear any updates from her.

For some unknown reason, he kept thinking about her. Maybe he hadn’t recovered yet from the intimate moment they shared together.

"I haven’t asked her," Dominique simply replied.

Dominique had been planning to divorce her. But he didn’t get the chance to talk to her.

"Why are you being so negligent toward your wife?" Ashton said, frowning deeply. He could sense Dominique’s indifference toward Sasha—he had already changed.

Dominique glanced at his best friend intently. "Do you love Sasha?"

"Cough! Cough!" Ashton choked on his drink upon hearing Dominique’s sudden question. He gazed at him in disbelief.

"W-What do you mean by that?" Ashton suddenly felt uneasy. He didn’t expect this kind of confrontation from Dominique.

"I have a girlfriend, man!" Ashton reminded him.

But Ashton couldn’t fool him. It was very obvious that he cared about Sasha.

Dominique took another gulp of his beer before speaking. "I’m going to divorce her, and my decision is final."

Ashton was taken aback by his revelation. He hadn’t recovered yet when Dominique said something that made him speechless.

"I know what happened between you and Sasha—you had sex with her. That alone is grounds for divorce. Since you’re my best friend, I’m telling you this first."

Ashton didn’t know what to say. He froze in place, his eyes wide open and mouth agape.

Dominique rose from his seat, tapping Ashton’s shoulder.

"Don’t worry. I’m not mad at you. I already knew that you always had feelings for Sasha. I shouldn’t have married her in the first place."

After saying that, Dominique stepped out of the bar, leaving Ashton behind.

Meanwhile, at Athena’s penthouse, Lanny, Vladimir, and Athena were gathered in the living room, discussing her concert, which had ended in controversy.

"Bro, you never fail to amaze me. You are good at creating trouble!" Lanny let out a soft chuckle, raising her glass of wine for a group toast.

"You totally ruined that bitch! You humiliated her in front of the crowd. That was savage! Haha!" she added, rejoicing.

Vladimir smirked. "She deserves it. How dare she try to hurt Athena.?" Then he looked at her with concern. "Is your leg fine?" His expression softened.

Athena bobbed her head with a faint smile. "I’m okay. It wasn’t serious. But thanks for speaking up for me."

"Terminate your contract with YG Entertainment. They didn’t know how to discipline their artists." Vladimir was displeased with the way the YG Staff dealt with the problem during the concert.

"Calm down, Bro. You are just saying that because you are afraid of competitors. Now that Athena’s real face is revealed to the world, she will certainly get more attention from handsome bachelors." Lanny teased Vladimir.

"Besides, YG Entertainment already sanctioned Therese. Her shows are suspended." Lanny showed him Timothy’s text message, informing them that he punished Therese for her inappropriate behavior.

Timothy also begged Lanny not to terminate the contract with YG Entertainment. He didn’t want to lose Athena.

Vladimir just glared at his sister’s blabbering mouth. He had the urge to cut her tongue off.

Athena could only smile watching the bickering between the two siblings.

"Don’t worry. I’ll take a rest for a week. I will lie low on social media. I won’t do a live performance on my Ye-tube channel." Athena informed them.

A lot of things have been happening lately. She needed time to unwind and recharge.

Furthermore, she decided to take her relationship with Vladimir to another level. She had to finish her revenge as soon as possible.

She won’t focus on her singing career. She would prioritize her revenge against Sasha and Dominique.

They were still talking when Enzo entered the living room together with the kids– Kimmy and Aaron. They went out to buy snacks in the convenience store.

"Mommy! Uncle Enzo bought ice cream for everyone!" Kimmy’s cheerful voice caught their attention.

She was holding Enzo’s hand as she pulled him inside. Aaron was simply following the two.

"Hey, kids. Come here!" Lanny smiled, witnessing the closeness of the father and daughter duo.

Enzo just excused himself as he headed to the kitchen to get some plates.

Athena leaned closer to Lanny and whispered. "Will you reconsider your decision? Why don’t you reveal the truth to my brother about Kimmy?"

Lanny pouted her lips upon hearing that. "Athena, I don’t want to complicate things further. I’m going to marry Dmitri. He will become Kimmy’s father." Her own words seemed like a reminder to herself.

Athena just took a deep sigh. "I think hiding this from my brother is a bit unfair. I don’t want to keep it a secret from him. And he needs us to regain his memory."

"But I understand you. And I will respect your decision. But please, can you think it over, Lanny?"
