Miguel Ivankov had been waiting for the updates from his men and Vladimir’s camp. He was in his study room, reading the information gathered by his men regarding Enzo Williams’ profile and background.

A cold glint flashed through his eyes upon seeing the report stating Enzo tried to kill Dominique five years ago. Enzo was the brother of Dominique’s ex-wife who committed suicide. But the suicide incident was hidden from the public.

’So Enzo Williams is a possible suspect since he has a motive to harm Dominique. Hmm, so it seems like many people are targeting him. How many enemies have you made, Dom?’

*Ring! Ring!*

Miguel was interrupted by the ringing sound of his phone. He picked it up and pressed the answer button upon confirming that it was a call from his right-hand man.

"So what’s the update? Have you found out anything significant?" Miguel asked his right-hand man in a serious tone.

"Master, the culprit who hit Mr. Smith is now being detained in Vladimir’s hideout. They managed to get a statement from him. And the real mastermind for the accident is Alfonso Williams, Enzo’s Uncle."

Miguel furrowed his eyebrows when he heard that. ’A family framing his own family?! This is so interesting.’

"What is the motive of Alfonso Williams to kill Dominique Smith? For what reason?" he probed.

"Currently, Mr. Smith is the major stockholder of the company previously owned by his father-in-law. The Williams Family seems like they want to reclaim the company, taking it away from Mr. Smith. Killing him must be the only way to get him out of the picture."

Miguel smirked slyly. "Greedy old man is on the move. I won’t let them touch Dominique again. They have to pass through me first."

His right-hand man noticed that Miguel’s protectiveness toward Dominique was on a different level.

"So are you saying that Enzo Williams is innocent? He has nothing to do with Dominique’s accident?" Miguel wanted to confirm Enzo’s involvement.

"Yes, Master. He is innocent. I would also like to inform you that Alfonso bribed three police officers to torture Enzo, forcing a confession from him. Vladimir is currently dealing with them. Do you have any more commands, Master?"

"Oh, yes. I want you to send something to my godson. Add a note, telling him I would visit him soon. By the way, just leave the other matters to Vladimir. I want him to fix this. I hope he won’t make the same mistake. Remind him not to touch Dominique Smith ever again, or else, he will have to face the consequence of his actions."

"Okay, Master. Got it."

When the phone call ended, Miguel heaved a sigh of relief. ’At least... it’s not Vladimir’s men who hurt Dominique.’

He grabbed his coat and left his villa. He headed to Lanny’s place to see his grandchildren, Aaron and Kimmy.

An hour later...

Miguel arrived at his destination. He didn’t inform Lanny about his visit. When Lanny opened the door for him, she was surprised to see her father standing outside her door.

"D-Dad... w-why are you here?" She stuttered a little.

Miguel lifted his eyebrow. "Are you not going to invite me in?"

"I’m sorry, Dad. Please come in." Lanny stepped to the side, allowing her father to enter the house.

"Where are my grandchildren?" Miguel looked for Aaron and Kimmy immediately.

"Aaron is sleeping in the room while Kimmy is playing with Dmitri in the living room." Lanny politely responded.

When he heard that, Miguel headed to the living room.

"Grandpa! You are here!" Kimmy excitedly called him and ran in his direction.

Miguel was supposed to carry Kimmy but upon seeing Dmitri and Lanny, he just stood still, staring at Kimmy.

He didn’t want to show Lanny that he was very sweet and kind toward his grandchildren. He maintained his stoic expression while giving Kimmy a secret message.

Kimmy stepped back when she understood her grandfather’s signal.

"Did you visit him?" Miguel simply asked Lanny. He was referring to Dominique.

Lanny was taken aback for a moment. ’Shit. Here we go. My father is thinking that Dominique and I were lovers in the past.’

Meanwhile, Dmitri darted his gaze back and forth between Lanny and Miguel. He was also confused as to why Miguel was asking Lanny if she visited Dominique or not.

’Is he the father of the twins?’ Dmitri had his suspicion.

"Dmitri, can you excuse us for a moment. I want to talk to Lanny. Bring Kimmy with you." Miguel requested.

"Okay, Don Miguel." Dmitri turned to Kimmy, holding her hand. "Let’s play outside."

Kimmy just nodded in agreement. "Let’s go, Uncle Dmitri!’

When the two left, Miguel leisurely sat down on the couch, signaling Lanny to join him.

Lanny obediently settled down next to her father.

"When are you going to reveal to the twins that Dominique is their father?" Miguel confronted her directly.

Lanny didn’t know what to say. She didn’t have any plans of telling Aaron and Kimmy. She had two reasons for that. First, Athena didn’t want Dominique to know that Aaron was his son. Her identity would be revealed to Dominique.

Second, Kimmy was not Dominique’s daughter. Enzo was Kimmy’s father. How could she tell her daughter that Dominique was her father?

"Dad, Dominique is already married to someone. And I am going to marry Dmitri. There is no need to reveal the truth to them. Dmitri will serve as the twin’s father." Lanny just wanted to convince her father. She didn’t want Miguel’s interference to affect Athena’s plan of revenge against Dominique.

’I have to disobey my father for Athena’s sake.’ Lanny thought to herself, remaining loyal to her friend, Athena.

Miguel stared at Lanny with a grim expression on his face. "I told you before. The twins have the right to know who their biological father is."

’Damn it! This old man is so persistent. I have to stand firm in front of him.’

"No, Dad! I won’t tell them! Kimmy and Aaron are my children. I will decide for them. Don’t force me to do something I don’t want to do. This is my personal life! Please stop meddling with my decision. I am already obeying you by agreeing to marry Dmitri!"

Miguel was surprised by Lanny’s defiance. This was the first time she stood firm against his decision.

While the two were arguing, they didn’t notice the small figure who overheard their conversation. Aaron was already awake.

’Uncle Dom is my biological father?! Is it true?’ Aaron was shocked by this discovery.
