Athena initiated a video call with Lanny and Gael through their ChitChat App. This was their discreet way of communicating without worrying about others seeing them together.

"Hello, ladies. What’s up? Is everything under control?" Gael asked, currently in his office.

Athena nodded with a wide grin. "Yes. I have good news for everyone. I made a sudden discovery last night. It looks like something is going on between Dominique and Sasha. Imagine this– Sasha invited Ashton and me to their house last night. And guess what happened!"

Lanny and Gael gazed at her with intrigue. "What happened?" they asked in unison.

Athena let out a soft giggle before revealing the previous night’s events. "Sasha tried to spike Dominique’s wine."

"Huh?! That’s absurd. Why would she do that?" Gael frowned, clearly perplexed.

Even Lanny was puzzled. "Don’t tell me... Dominique and Sasha haven’t been having sex lately? That’s the only reason I can think of for her doing that. She must be desperate."

"So, what did you do?" Gael asked curiously.

"I switched the wines. I let her have Dominique’s spiked wine. Oh, and I also mixed some into Ashton’s wine. After that, I pretended to be sick and asked Dominique to bring me to the hospital. I guess the two ended up having sex!" Athena said, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

Lanny’s jaw dropped. "No way! That’s brilliant. Sasha probably thought her plan was foolproof. I’m so proud of you, Athena! You are learning my evil ways! Hahaha."

Gael also chuckled. "Serves them right. But how are things with Dominique now? Is he suspicious?"

Athena pouted her lips and shook her head. She was a little bit disappointed. "Not at all. He’s been completely focused on taking care of me. He didn’t go home so he didn’t witness anything."

"Do you think she will suspect you of switching the wine?" Gael asked, his tone serious.

Athena shrugged, a confident smirk playing on her lips. "Hmm, I don’t think so. Sasha isn’t suspicious of me, at least not yet."

Lanny sighed in relief. "Good. Let’s keep it that way. We can’t afford to slip up now. We need every advantage we can get."

Gael nodded in agreement. "Stay vigilant, Athena. We need to stay one step ahead."

Athena’s eyes sparkled with determination. "Don’t worry. I’ve got this under control," she assured them, her confidence unwavering. "I’ll keep playing my part, and we’ll continue to outmaneuver them."

"Okay. Good to hear. But make sure not to fall for Dominique again." Lanny reminded her.

Athena just smiled faintly. She had been reminding herself too.

Meanwhile, Gael fell silent, his mind preoccupied with a troubling thought. ’Athena doesn’t know that Dominique was unaware of her pregnancy five years ago. What if she finds out? Will she change her mind?’ Gael pondered, worry etched across his face.

"By the way, Ashton and I are officially dating. I will continue to exploit his weakness. Besides, he is not exempted from my revenge." Athena informed them. Lanny and Gael were her accomplices in doing her revenge, so she shared every important detail with them.

"Yes. That’s my girl! Keep fighting!" Lanny expressed her full support.

"Just always be careful, Athena. If you need help, just don’t hesitate to call me. Okay?" Gael smiled.

But behind that smile, Gael concealed his guilt. He felt remorseful for hiding the truth from Athena. He chose to hide the fact that Dominique wasn’t the one who asked her to abort their child.

’I’m sorry, Athena,’ he thought. ’I can’t tell you the truth. I’m afraid your hatred for Dominique will lessen if you learn about it.’

"Now, it’s my turn. I also discovered something very significant last night." Lanny spoke up.

"About what?" Athena asked her expectantly.

Lanny took a deep sigh, darting her gaze back and forth between Athena and Gael. "It’s about Alice."

"Alice? Enzo’s current girlfriend. What did you find out?" Gael couldn’t hide his eagerness to hear Lanny’s discovery.

Athena looked at Lanny with a mixture of concern and curiosity.

Lanny took a deep breath before revealing her findings. "Alice and Dominique... they know each other. They have connections. I’m not sure if they’re in cahoots, but it’s suspicious."

Gael’s brow furrowed. "How do you know this?"

"I asked someone to monitor Alice’s movement. My subordinate saw them together, talking to each other on the rooftop of the hospital where Alice was working. My subordinate took photos of them together. They seemed close," Lanny explained, pulling out her phone to show the images.

Lanny deliberately omitted the fact that it was Vladimir who had sent Luna to monitor Dominique’s movements. She kept this detail from Athena, fearing it might spark an argument between Athena and Vladimir over his actions.

Meanwhile, Athena’s worry deepened. "What does this mean for us?" She couldn’t believe that Alice and Dominique were somewhat connected to each other.

"Do you think he is using Alice to keep an eye on my brother, Enzo? Is Dominique up to something?" Athena added. "Is Alice lying to my brother?"

Lanny and Gael didn’t know what to say. Alice’s action was a bit suspicious. Now, they started doubting her true feelings for Enzo.

"It means we need to be more cautious," Gael said, her voice firm. "If Dominique and Alice are working together, they could be planning something against Enzo. We need to stay vigilant."

Athena clenched her fists. She didn’t want Enzo to be heartbroken. He loved Alice for real and he trusted her a lot.

"Things are getting more complicated," Lanny finally found her voice to speak up. She was also worried about Enzo.

"When Enzo lost his memory, Alice was the one who took care of her. Don’t tell me they made Alice look like his savior even though she was not?" Gael voiced out his concern.

Lanny’s expression turned ashen. She couldn’t allow this deception. "Don’t worry. I will dig deeper into this. I will find out exactly what their connection is and what they might be planning. I’ll protect Enzo."

"You truly like Enzo," Gael suddenly blurted out, teasing Lanny.

"Shut up, Gael. I’m doing this because I am still indebted to him. He saved my life!" Lanny spat back at him.

"Hey, why are you so worked up? I’m just trying to lighten the mood, Lanny. Relax." Gael chuckled once more.

"Sigh. My brother must regain his memories so that we will know what truly happened to him five years ago."

"Gael, have you asked your doctors? Do they have recommendations on how we can help Enzo to regain his memory?" Athena asked Gael.

Gael rubbed his chin as he tried to recall his doctor friend’s suggestion.

"He talked about Supportive Care. This involves creating a supportive environment with familiar surroundings, routines, and nurturing relationships, which can help in recovering memories. Therefore, we should encourage him to engage in activities he used to enjoy in the past or visit places he had been to before."

Athena and Lanny nodded in agreement.

"And one more thing. He also suggested undergoing a hypnotism session. My friend knows someone who is good at this. Do you want Enzo to try it?"

"Yes! There is no harm in trying!" Athena promptly responded. Then she glanced at Lanny. "Lanny, can you convince Enzo to undergo this kind of treatment? Given your current relationship, I guess he will listen to you."

"Okay. I’ll do that." Lanny didn’t hesitate as long as it would be beneficial for Enzo.

"Alright. Thank you so much, Lanny." Athena smiled at her, feeling grateful. She deliberately gave this task to Lanny so that she could spend time with her brother, Enzo.

"So, do we have any other matters to discuss?" Gael inquired, looking between the two women.

"Yes, we do!" Both Lanny and Athena replied simultaneously, eager to continue their discussion.

Gael let out a soft chuckle. "Hmm. Okay. Let me hear it!"

"It’s about Melody! She is blackmailing Oliver Jones right now. We have to help him so that he won’t be forced to marry my cousin." Athena informed Gael.

Lanny and Athena recounted the story behind the blackmail to Gael, who felt sympathetic towards Oliver for falling into Melody’s trap.

"I can feel that the Williams Family are now desperate. So greedy for power. Later on, this will be the source of their downfall," Gael said meaningfully.

"I agree. I think they are also preparing to reclaim everything from Dominique." Lanny shared her assumption.

"So what is our plan regarding Melody? Is there a way we can steal or erase the video?" Gael asked them.

"I have three plans in mind," Athena began, laying out her strategies. "First, we could hire someone to hack into her phone and laptop to delete the video. Second, we might steal her phone and erase the backup files ourselves. And third, we could take a similar approach: blackmail her into giving up and deleting the video on her own."

"Haha! I prefer the third one!" Lanny replied, mischievously.

Gael and Athena could only smile at Lanny’s remarks.

"I can mobilize my people!" Lanny volunteered again. "They are still here in York City."

"Okay. Let’s do that!" Gael and Athena agreed to Lanny’s suggestion.

"I can’t wait to teach that woman a lesson. She’s as scheming as her parents," Lanny expressed her disdain towards Melody.

"Absolutely. I sometimes wonder what kind of blood runs in their veins. Enzo and Athena are so different from them," Gael added, shaking his head in disappointment.
