Chapter 125: Surprise Performance

"I didn’t cheat on her. I just made her believe that I cheated on her with Sasha!"

Dominique’s revelation made Enzo speechless once again. He didn’t know whether to believe him or not.

But who would have thought that Dominique Smith would kneel in front of Enzo while apologizing and admitting his mistake? He even confessed that he was in love with Sabrina for real.

Among his revelations, the most surprising thing he heard was about Sabrina’s unborn child.

’My sister got pregnant. I wonder if her child also survived. Is she focusing on taking care of her child?’ he mused to himself.

When he finally recovered from the shock, Enzo spoke again, ridiculing Dominique.

"You only realized her importance when she’s gone," Enzo mumbled, feeling disappointed.

"You hurt her. You deserve this. Regret it every day."

Enzo was about to leave but Dominique stood up, stopping him.

"Enzo, I had my reason for doing it. I’ll tell you everything... Meet me again some other time. Let’s talk... but not here."

Dominique wanted to get closure by revealing his past to Enzo.

Enzo hesitated for a moment, just staring at him intently.

"Fine. Just set the date, time, and location. I will go and listen to you."

Enzo gave Dominique a chance to explain and reveal his past.

’I’m curious about his story. He said he loved my sister for real, yet he chose to hurt and betray her. His words are contradictory to his past actions.’

"Thanks, Enzo." He handed him his phone. "Please give me your number so that I can contact you."

Enzo just lifted his eyebrow. He still hated this guy. But because of his curiosity, he cooperated with Dominique, saving his number on his phone.

After giving back his phone, Enzo left Dominique. He was heading to meet Lanny and Athena in their hotel room. The three decided to show up in the banquet hall together to surprise Melody and the Williams Family.

Back to the banquet hall.

Melody was escorted by her parents, Alfonso and Meona. She was wearing an elegant white dress with off-shoulder sleeves. The camera flashed as they entered the hall. The guests greeted them with congratulations.

Soon, Oliver and his father approached the Williams Family.

"Hello, Babe." Melody gave him a peck on his cheek.

Oliver responded by kissing the back of her palm. "Let’s settle down. The party is about to start."

Alfonso Williams and Oscar Jones sat down at a different table together with their wives. On the other hand, Melody and Oliver occupied the table at the center.

"Babe, how do I look tonight?" Melody flirtatiously asked Oliver, leaning over to flex her cleavage.

"So pretty," Oliver simply replied, yet his eyes were fixed on her sexy body.

Alfonso Williams told Melody to treat Oliver well and make him fall for her so hard. His aim was to make Oliver a puppet husband of Melody.

Though she preferred Dominique, she couldn’t disobey her father. She just smiled mischievously, thinking about using Dominique’s strategy.

’I will marry Oliver. Once I get his family wealth and acquire his company, I can just dump him and divorce him... the same strategy used by Dominique against my cousin, Sabrina.’

Melody was so determined to act as a sweet and loving fiancé. She would focus her attention on Oliver. Besides, this was a win-win situation for her. Oliver was rich and handsome as well!

"You look gorgeous tonight as well," Melody praised Oliver. She even snaked her arms around his elbow, deliberately pressing his arm on the side of her breast.

She started teasing and seducing Oliver. This was the first time she acted intimately toward him. Before, she often avoided getting intimate with Oliver because she was thinking about Dominique. Dominique became her standard in men! He had a unique charisma and a different effect on her.

To tease him further, Melody placed her palm on his thigh, gently rubbing it under the table.

"Uhm, Thank you," Oliver replied as he forced a smile.

He was not used to this sudden intimacy coming from Melody. He couldn’t understand why she was so clingy and touchy tonight. It was so unlikely of her to do so.

"Let’s book a room here tonight. I don’t want to go home after our engagement party," Melody whispered in his ear, her hand still sliding up and down his thigh.

Oliver gulped hard when he heard that tempting offer. "S-Sure," he stammered a little.

Melody let out a soft giggle. She deliberately moved her hand up, slightly touching his crotch.

Oliver’s eyes widened when he felt her palm pressing his growing erection. He bit his lip to stifle his groan.

"Melody... not here..." he complained. "So many eyes are watching us."

Melody giggled once again, removing her hand. She just teased him, testing Oliver’s reaction. She was satisfied since she felt his boner underneath his pants.

"Ladies and gentlemen! Since the stars of tonight’s party are already here, let’s get started!" The host’s voice reverberated at the entire banquet hall.

The guests cheered and clapped their hands in excitement.

"But before we proceed to the main event, let’s witness first the surprise performance of the renowned artist. Mr. Oliver Jones prepared this for Miss Melody Williams."

Melody smiled broadly when she heard that. She felt so happy since Oliver made an effort to surprise her tonight.

"Wow, what kind of surprise is this?" Melody grabbed Oliver’s hand.

Oliver just smiled sheepishly. He wasn’t certain if Melody would be happy once she learned the identity of tonight’s performer.

He recalled that Athena and Melody had an intense encounter and argument in Goddess Elixir Cafe a few days ago.

Despite that, he still invited Athena to perform during his engagement party because this was part of Athena’s demands for sealing the deal between them.

"Everyone! Let’s all welcome... The Masked Singer, Athena!" the host announced and called Athena’s name.

Melody and the other guests were stupefied when the Ye-tube sensation showed up and stepped onto the center stage as she began singing her piece.

Contrary to the happy and excited look of Oliver and the guests, Melody’s face turned grim the moment she saw Athena.

Slam!

Melody was not able to hold her anger and displeasure as she slammed the table using both hands.

"What the heck?! Why is she here?" Melody questioned Oliver with her bloodshot eyes.

"I can’t believe you! Is this your surprise to me?!! Are you mocking me, Oliver?" She punched his shoulder.

"Hey, Calm down! Don’t make a scene here." Oliver tugged her hand, making her sit down.

Melody gritted her teeth. She was about to yell at Oliver but she shut her mouth upon meeting the intense glare of her father.

Melody’s strange reaction caught Alfonso’s attention. He knew that something was wrong so he gave his daughter a warning look, signaling her to behave.

Melody had no choice but to shrink down in her seat while controlling her raging emotions.

’Damn you, Oliver! How could you do this to me?!’ She cursed him inwardly. She was very upset.

Her irritation intensified further when she noticed that Athena’s presence had stolen the spotlight! The guests and the reporters were enjoying her performance.

’Shit! This is my party! My engagement party! Not a concert!’ Melody folded her fingers into tight fists.

She had the urge to walk out but she didn’t have the courage to do that. Alfonso would scold her and punish her if she did that.

"Oliver, I won’t forgive you for this!" Melody whispered to him in her gritted teeth.

Oliver didn’t hear her since his attention was now focused on Athena. He was no longer paying attention to Melody.

As Athena performed on the stage, Lanny and Enzo also entered the banquet hall. Enzo’s sudden arrival stirred the venue, catching the reporters’ attention. They recognized him immediately.

"Oh wait! Is that Enzo Williams? He is back! Did the Williams Family invite him?!" One member of the media team blurted out.

When the other guests heard him, they followed his line of sight. They gasped upon seeing Enzo. It’s been five years since Enzo Williams disappeared from York City. No one expected him to attend this engagement party.

"I thought he was a wanted person?! He shot his brother-in-law five years ago!"

They started to talk about Enzo and his crime.

"Enzo is here! Where is Dominique?!" Ashton exclaimed, turning from left to right as he searched for Dominique.

Meanwhile, Dominique had just entered the banquet hall when he noticed that people were whispering and staring at Enzo. He frowned but he wasn’t surprised since he met him earlier.

’Why did he come here, showing his face to the Williams Family? He hasn’t regained his memory yet?’ Dominique was worried about Enzo.

"Is that Enzo? Your nephew?" Oscar was the one who informed Alfonso about Enzo’s presence.

"Huh? My missing nephew?!" Alfonso turned in Enzo’s direction.
