Yan Qianyi immediately went to investigate the workplace of Yan Chuhua’s parents.

As Hei Zai had predicted, Yan Chuhua’s parents had resigned from their positions and disappeared without a trace.

"Could you access the main system to check Chuhua’s personal system?"

The police can’t file a case yet, and the protocols don’t reach the main system at this point. Besides, the main system isn’t in charge of missing persons investigations. If there’s no news of Chuhua by tomorrow morning, the school will report it, and the police will have the authority to access her personal system’s location."

Yan Qianyi took a sip of her wine; if Hei Zai couldn’t locate Chuhua’s system, the police definitely couldn’t either.

What she aimed to find through the main system wasn’t Chuhua’s system location.

Mai Hunter was taken aback, "Forged?"

"Yes."

"But what?" Yan Qianyi asked.

Yan Qianyi paused.

Mai Hunter continued, "Even within the Federation Empire, there are different factions. Some influential figures might want to place their own people and nurture them starting from the academy. I never discuss this with students."

By now, Mai Hunter treated Yan Qianyi as a trustworthy friend.

"Of course, it’s also possible she is a spy from another country. Whether or not she is actually a spy is merely my personal speculation, but one thing is certain."

Yan Qianyi blinked, puzzled, "What is that?"

Mai Hunter said, "If you truly care for Yan Chuhua, you must not alarm the higher-ups, nor involve the main system in this investigation."

Yan Qianyi thought for a moment and nodded, "I understand."

Mai Hunter smiled, "You really are smart."

If Yan Chuhua was from the Federation Empire, her higher-ups would naturally find her.

However, if Yan Chuhua was a spy from another country, reporting her would mean endangering her.
