Chapter 106: Crazy
Chapter Hundred-Six – Crazy
Was it necessary to fight the runt girl? Laurel picked up in the spear. She looked up and found the girl under Bebe. No time had been spent on the action. Bebe should really be a good fighter.
"What am I saying? She’s warrior ranked." Laurel carefully came close to them.
Bebe tried to hold the girl down so Laurel dived the spear to the runt’s throat, she stopped an inch close.
The runt froze, and Bebe got up. "Move and I’d take it down, and pin you to mother earth." Laurel said calmly.
Stefan got down the carriage and watched the two. Now they have caught the runt, so what?
"You!" the runt seethed. "You hurt my big brother!"
"Oh really? I should thank you, princess." Bebe scoffed.
Laurel glanced at her. Her whole aura had changed from cute and innocent to reeking of bloodlust, since she shouted and jumped down from the carriage.
"You know her?"
"A bitch from my pack. The Beta’s underlings. The ones I said turned to stealing to make a living." Bebe kicked the runt, like she was trash.
The runt tried moving but remembered the spear very close to her neck.
"Hmm, in that case, it won’t just be your brother getting hurt." Laurel sighed. "Sorren went after the rest after all."
The runt’s eyes shook, she looked towards the direction her team had gone with Sorren. None of them will return?
"None of them will return." Bebe said, confirming.
The runt’s eyes became teary. "You already killed Migi! If you return, Bebe, I’d make sure the Alpha kills you!!"
Kill her? Laurel tsked, cutting the girl with the tip of the spear, it wasn’t deep but painful. "So you have her life in your hands? I guess returning won’t work, Bebe."
"I knew it." Bebe looked down at her hands.
"Should we kill her?" Laurel looked down at the girl. The girl could inform the Alpha of Bebe’s disappearance and if the Alpha comes for Bebe, she couldn’t say no.
She had no pack to keep Bebe in anyway. And Stefan wouldn’t accept her as a werewolf under him... would he?
Laurel turned to him but got stunned to see him watching her, in a confused and cautious manner.
Stefan’s eyes shifted to his mate’s hand on the spear. Then he remembered her words to kill the ’rogue’.
Could she be that type of person? He thought she’d be hesitant to kill as a princess but the runt said she already hurt and possibly killed someone. When?
And Sorren did say, at the Lycan Packs Meeting, that he found her in the forest covered in blood. Did it mean she killed the rogues that attacked her? That worried him.
Before, the threats Laurel made annoyed him because she’s the child of someone who hurt him yet had the guts to threaten him.
But seeing her now, with blood lust flickering in her eyes, she might actually do it.
Laurel looked away from him as she didn’t know what’s he thought. Maybe she’d just ask Sorren.
She struck the spear on the girls shoulder, pinning her so she wouldn’t chase. "Don’t move till we leave." She warned as she and Bebe returned to the carriage.
Stefan moved away as they climbed back. Laurel just stabbed a living person a spear, right? She knew how to use weapons too?
He looked at the runt suffering from the spear in her shoulders and the cut in her neck. His eyes dimmed on her. "Let’s go." He overheard Sorren behind him.
The only thing that showed that he had just killed people were his bloody fingertips. Nothing else.
Sorren wiped his hand with a handkerchief, while watching his brother go to the runt. Stefan took the spear out of her so she could start healing.
The runt looked at him thankfully and fearfully. Was he going to finish her off now?
But Stefan returned to the carriage. "Get in, Sorren."
Sorren smirked. "Always so soft. So what if she was in pain? She deserves it. The only reason I didn’t kill her is because her spear shooting skills are impressive."
The older brother made a low grunt as he climbed on the carriage, readying to control the horse. He knew Sorren only spared people he found interesting.
If he spared the girl because she had a dangerous skill, then did he spare Laurel because she had a crazy side? He signaled for the horse to move.
Bebe laid on Laurel’s lap being cute and innocent again. "Princess, you’d let me stay with you, right?"
Laurel contemplated it more now. "Since your pack will kill you if you return then you can only return when you’re strong enough to beat the current Alpha."
Stefan raised a brow on hearing her words. Why did she make the girl feel like she could challenge an Alpha?
Bebe sat up and nodded. "Yes! I’d be strong and be the new Alpha! Can I train with you, princess?"
Stefan was surprised on how the girl quickly accepted it. Did she even know how strong an Alpha was?
"Yes, train with me." Laurel rubbed her head. "And Sorren, will you let her stay with you? She can help your garden—"
Sorren threw the bloody handkerchief on Laurel. "No."
Laurel blew the handkerchief off her face. "Why not?"
"She’s boring." He said, looking at Bebe in the eye. "To fight your Alpha and be the new Alpha isn’t just resolve."
Stefan nodded internally. For the first time, his younger brother gave someone good advice. One needed more than resolve and determination to beat an Alpha.
"What does she need then?" Laurel waited the crazy thing he’d say. There’s no way Sorren could give good advice.
"Well, if you are going to be the new Alpha... you need," Sorren looked her over, "...to have better taste in clothes or your pack will be utterly disappointed in you."
Laurel chuckled silently. Bebe looked confused but she nodded. "Hmm! I’d get better taste in clothes too. Thank you! Will you be willing to teach me, Master Sorren?"
Sorren looked outside the window, while touching his hair. "Since you’d be helping in my garden too, maybe you’d be useful. Just don’t bore me."
"Yes! I’d not fail you, Master!" Bebe declared.
Stefan shoulders dropped, and he let out a soft sigh. Why did he think his younger brother would change?
