Chapter 116: Side Story: Gavrius And Vaelrik’s First Date (Part 3)
"Um... I move around a lot when I sleep... If it’s too small, I end up falling off," Gavi admitted, fidgeting in embarrassment.
Vaelrik laughed.
That made sense.
He remembered the times Gavi had stayed over at his house—he’d been kicked out of bed more than once.
"You never grew out of that, huh?"
"I can’t help it."
"Well, if we ever have kids, we’ll have to sleep in separate rooms for a while."
"What?!"
"If you end up kicking me in my sleep, it’d be dangerous, wouldn’t it?"
Gavi’s face turned bright red.
Then, in a small voice, he muttered, "I’ll try to fix it..."
The thought that Gavi wanted to sleep next to him that badly made Vaelrik feel both amused and a little flustered.
They decided to take a bath first.
The hot spring water was amazing, and Vaelrik ended up soaking for longer than intended.
Gavi, on the other hand, turned red almost immediately, but he refused to get out.
Eventually, Vaelrik had to coax him out, worried he’d overheat.
They had already written letters in advance, letting their families know they would be staying the night.
For dinner, they relied on the meals stored in Vaelrik’s magic bag.
To their surprise, his mother had secretly packed some cupcakes, which made them both laugh as they ate.
Now, they lounged on the rug, enjoying the quiet evening.
Through the ceiling window, the night sky stretched above them, filled with stars.
"Gavi, have you ever gone on a night flight before?"
"No, I haven’t."
"Let’s go sometime. Flying through the stars feels amazing."
Gavi’s face lit up with excitement.
Seeing his flushed expression, Vaelrik couldn’t resist pulling him close and pressing a soft kiss to his lips.
"Hey..."
"Hm?"
"...Is this really okay, Gavi?"
He didn’t have to say it outright—his meaning was clear.
Gavi’s face turned an even deeper shade of red, but after a moment, he gave a small nod.
Without hesitation, Vaelrik lifted him into his arms and carried him to the bed.
As the mattress sank beneath their weight, memories of various "advice" he had received ran through Vaelrik’s mind.
He had asked his older brother, the servants at the estate, even some of his comrades in the military.
And they had given him way too much information.
Some of it was outright ridiculous—things about tying hands, blindfolds, or stopping someone from finishing too soon.
Someone even mentioned using... certain "tools," but where was he supposed to find those?!
There was no way he could do any of that to Gavi.
He doubted Gavi would even want to try it.
So, he decided to stick with the most straightforward advice he had received.
"Um, Vael... I don’t have any experience with this. I don’t really know what to do..."
"Same here. It’s my first time too, so I’m not exactly an expert."
"Wait, what?! Then... what do we do...?"
Gavi sat on the bed, looking completely flustered.
Vaelrik chuckled and gently pulled him forward, guiding him to straddle his lap.
"Anyway, just get on top of me."
"But... I’m heavy, and it’ll hurt you."
"You’re not heavy, Gavi. And it won’t hurt me. Besides, if I were on top, I might actually hurt you."
Vaelrik spoke, his voice carrying a hint of embarrassment and frustration.
It wasn’t his fault—he was built sturdier, broader.
He knew he was a bit rough around the edges.
Gavi hesitated but eventually climbed onto him.
Softly, carefully.
The moment Gavi’s bare skin pressed against his, Vaelrik felt a strange thrill run through him.
Even here, Gavi was soft.
That realization sent a peculiar heat coursing through his body.
"Umm... What should I do now?"
"I think... it starts with a kiss."
"You think?"
"Ah—no! I mean—!"
Gavi tilted his head in confusion, but then, without hesitation, he smiled and leaned down, capturing Vaelrik’s lips in a kiss.
Soft.
Warm.
A quiet sound broke the silence, and even that sent a pulse of heat through him.
Vaelrik eagerly responded, but it wasn’t enough.
He wanted more.
Needed more.
What was it that his brother had said?
Something about using his tongue... easing it into the other’s mouth...
Half-dazed, he followed the memory.
He traced Gavi’s lips with his tongue, and at that, golden eyes widened in surprise.
"Open your mouth," he murmured.
Gavi nodded and obediently parted his lips.
The sight of that small, red tongue sent a rush of excitement through Vaelrik.
He sealed their lips together again, sliding his tongue inside.
Gavi’s own tongue flinched back in shock, retreating.
Vaelrik chased after it, coaxing, entwining—until a sharp jolt of pleasure shot through his body, making his breath hitch.
"Shit... this feels amazing."
Like he was caught in a trance, Vaelrik kept deepening the kiss, tongues entwining, drawing Gavi in again and again.
Gavi let out soft, needy sounds, his body occasionally trembling.
And every time he shuddered, Vaelrik felt a matching jolt run through him.
His heartbeat pounded so loudly in his ears that it was all he could hear.
"Haa... um, what do we do next?"
"I think... you’re supposed to use your hands, lips, and tongue to touch the places that feel good."
"The places that feel good?"
Gavi’s question made Vaelrik hesitate—because truthfully, he wasn’t sure either.
While he was lost in thought, Gavi seemed to steel himself and carefully reached out to touch him.
"Ah—! That’s... it kinda tickles, but it also feels... nice."
Gavi’s fingers skimmed over his sides, the sensation light and ticklish.
But in other places, it felt different.
As if experimenting, Gavi trailed his fingers across his skin, barely grazing at first—until his fingertips brushed against Vaelrik’s nipple.
"Nngh—!"
"Ah! S-Sorry! Did that hurt?"
Gavi quickly pulled his hand back, startled by Vaelrik’s sudden reaction.
But that wasn’t it.
It didn’t hurt.
It felt good.
A sharp, electric pleasure shot through him, spreading from his chest down to his core, making his breath hitch.
Even now, the lingering sensation left a restless heat behind, a craving for more.
