Heavenly Unbound: The System Maker! -
Chapter 183 – Xia Zhenxue’s Might!
"Are you crazy?! We’re not ready—nowhere near it!" one of the elders shouted, pointing his finger at Xia Zhenxue.
"Do you have any idea how many Grand Unity experts they have in the north? A thousand!" He glared at her, convinced she had lost her mind after being away from the clan for so long.
"That's right, Zhenxue… The matter regarding the Blood Fiend Palace can't be decided recklessly..."
"This absurd idea—did it come from the man you brought with you? What did he whisper in your ear?"
The sound of murmurs echoed throughout the grand chamber. The majority of the elders voiced their disagreement, dismissing Zhenxue’s words entirely. In their minds, the current situation was already stable—they saw no reason to change it now without a clear benefit.
A silent minority, mostly from the ancient family branch like the Patriarch, however, remained thoughtful—they were considering her request because of their hatred for the Blood Fiend Palace, even if they believed it unwise to act recklessly against such a powerful enemy.
Whether part of the majority or the minority, they all leaned toward not listening to Zhenxue's request, because they understood all too well the gap between their clan and the enemy.
The Blood Fiend Palace is a demonic cultivator faction—everyone knows it.
Their cultivators’ average strength is not much different from that of other factions. To be more accurate, their average strength is actually lower than that of the other top-tier factions.
However, what makes this demonic faction truly dangerous does not lie in the average strength of their cultivators, but in the sheer number of cultivators under their command.
Their primary cultivation methods involve consuming blood, be it from mortals, cultivators, or even demon beasts and demons. All are their prey.
With every territory they conquer, they harvest more blood—and with more blood, they cultivate more cultivators.
Currently, they have conquered an entire continent of their origin, one-fourth of this continent, and two-tenths of another. One can only imagine how much blood they have already harvested.
The number of cultivators they possess—including high-ranking cultivators—far surpasses that of any other faction at this point; no one group alone can match them in this regard.
For the Myriad Dynasty Continent to stand a chance against them, this entire continent had to unite its forces to match the sheer number of experts from the Blood Fiend Palace.
The murmuring continued among the elders, their eyes occasionally landing on Zhenxue's parents and their family branch, as if they were blaming them for Zhenxue's words.
Xia Zhenxue sighed. She had already known it would turn out this way, but still—she needed to convince them. If not, then Chairman Lan would.
"I understand your hesitation. I know how powerful the Blood Fiend Palace is, and I know many of you believe now is not the time. But if we keep waiting—stalling for the so-called 'perfect moment'—it's pointless. There is no perfect moment. As we wait, they grow stronger day by day."
She let her gaze sweep across the room, meeting the eyes of several elders.
"You know it!" she shouted.
Several elders swallowed nervously. They knew what she said was true, but the idea of a ‘perfect moment’ was the only thing they could cling to—because a direct confrontation would most likely result in their loss.
"You call my request reckless, but I call your stillness dangerous. The Great Xia Dynasty once ruled the north with pride—now it’s reduced to this state. If we continue hiding behind the Snow Fortress and excuses, then we’re simply waiting for death!"
One of the senior elders, who was part of the majority that wanted to maintain the current situation, rose from his seat and spoke.
“Princess,” his voice was cold and measured.
“Your passion is commendable—but reckless. You speak of war as if it were a simple march,” he said, folding his hands behind his back.
“Your request will cost countless lives—more than any of us are willing to sacrifice. You would plunge the Xia Clan into ruin,” he added, meeting her glare.
Many elders nodded in agreement.
“Making such a reckless request, fully knowing the consequences... This kind of behavior is not appropriate for a princess of the Xia Clan. Clearly, her time away has made her forget her duty and responsibility.” He cast a stern glance toward Zhenxue before turning to the other elders.
“For the safety of the clan—and your own well-being—we will place you under temporary confinement. Following that, corrective instruction will be arranged to remind you of your duties as a princess of the Xia Clan,” he said and made a gesture.
Several royal servants stepped forward, swords at their sides.
"I wasn't reckless! On my journey in the south, I found someone willing to help us—they promised to help us reclaim our ancestral lands!" Xia Zhenxue said. But her words didn’t seem to stop them; no one was willing to listen to her anymore.
"Princess, please follow us. Don’t make us use force," one of the royal servants said.
Xia Zhenxue frowned. She hadn’t expected things to escalate so quickly.
Seeing that she did not comply, a royal servant reached toward her.
"Don't touch me…" Xia Zhenxue said coldly as his hand was about to reach her.
An extremely cold, light blue aura was emitted from Xia Zhenxue's body. Being touched by the aura, the royal servant’s entire arm was frozen solid under Xia Zhenxue’s aura.
"AHHHH!" the servant screamed in pain and stepped away from Xia Zhenxue, his frozen arm crackling with ice.
Everyone in the grand frozen chamber was shocked, not because of Xia Zhenxue's resistance, but because of the result of that resistance.
To become one of the royal servants of the Xia Clan, one must attain the cultivation realm of the Spirit Integration Realm, a high-ranking expert who could become a king in a remote area of the Myriad Dynasty Continent.
Yet such a high-ranking expert was now injured by an attack from Xia Zhenxue, who was only at the True Body Realm!
They all knew Xia Zhenxue was strong—nearly invincible to any others within the same cultivation realm due to her True Snow Phoenix Bloodline—but they never expected her to have grown so strong that she was powerful enough to pose a threat to a cultivator from an entire major realm above her!
"You have become stronger—that has made you arrogant…" the Senior Elder said in a low voice and gestured once more, signaling the leader of royal servants to continue.
"We must apologize in advance, Princess…" The leader of the royal servants said. His tone was respectful, but firm.
"Please don’t make this more difficult than it needs to be," the royal servant leader said in a cold voice. Then he gestured for other servants to surround Xia Zhenxue.
Xia Zhenxue didn’t panic despite being surrounded by a dozen Spirit Integration experts. She hoped the strength she was about to display would make them take her words more seriously.
Without waiting for Xia Zhenxue to be ready, the royal servants charged at her simultaneously from all directions.
The elders—including Xia Zhenxue’s parents and their family branch—watched the scene with various emotions; some wanted to end this nonsense quickly, while others wondered how things had turned out this way.
The Xia Clan's Patriarch, like everyone else in the chamber, watched silently to see how things would unfold. He also wanted to see how much Xia Zhenxue had grown compared to her previous returns
As the royal servants charged at Xia Zhenxue, she began to move. The Snow Qi surged, becoming a White Snow Flower above her palms.
Then its petals bloomed, sending out wave after wave of icy wind, each extremely cold and piercing.
The royal servant who was too close and too slow was instantly frozen. The others, who were fast enough to deploy their defense, found their defenses slowly freezing under the icy wind.
On the other side, the elders quickly raised their defenses against the icy wind sweeping toward them. But as it reached them, their eyes widened in shock.
The power behind the wind was far beyond their expectations. This extreme cold breeze carried a might equal to a middle stage or even a high stage of the Spirit Integration expert!
At that moment, they realized how much they had underestimated the power of the True Snow Phoenix Bloodline.
They didn't realize that what they were sensing wasn't purely the power of the bloodline, but also the power of its holder, Xia Zhenxue herself!
Xia Zhenxue raised her hands to her chest. Then she crushed the White Snow Flower, shattering it. A blizzard-like wind burst forth in all directions, instantly freezing all the royal servants.
They had all become ice sculptures—not dead, but trapped within the everlasting ice, struggling with all their might to break free.
The senior elder gazed at Xia Zhenxue with cold eyes, a flicker of envy in them. He and the others had not expected Xia Zhenxue to become this strong, to the point that they could no longer control her, at least not easily.
"Princess... you leave me no choice," the senior elder said grimly.
As his words fell, he disappeared from his spot, moving with a speed that surpassed even Spirit Integration experts—he was a Grand Unity expert, after all!
Xia Zhenxue’s expression froze. Before she could react, he had already appeared beside her. Even with her tremendous growth, she still couldn’t keep up with someone two entire major realms above her.
Fighting him? Impossible.
She could only stare helplessly as his hand reached toward her.
But just before it could touch her.
Clack!
Another hand appeared out of thin air and caught the senior elder’s wrist, stopping it.
The entire hall fell into stunned silence.
The senior elder's eyes widened in disbelief. The watching elders gasped. The Xia Clan Patriarch, seated upon the frozen throne, narrowed his eyes.
"Aren't you an elder? At least pretend to have some honor," A calm, powerful voice echoed through the grand frozen chamber.
