Chapter 350: Chapter 0266: May Not Be Able to Break Through Chapter 350: Chapter 0266: May Not Be Able to Break Through Chapter 0266: Not Necessarily Breakable
After slightly hesitating, Qi Tian still decided to continue searching for treasures in this underground labyrinth that could stir a strong interest in the Heavenly Dao Engine. He didn’t necessarily need to obtain the opportunity of a Gold Core creation, but he absolutely couldn’t miss any treasure that could make the Heavenly Dao Engine evolve. Although doing this would inevitably entail a great risk, cultivation was originally a defiance against Heaven. If he chose to leave this underground labyrinth for safety reasons, and the Heavenly Dao Engine could not continue evolving, he might regret it for the rest of his life. After all, many times opportunities only come once. If you miss them, they’ll be gone forever.
Qi Tian looked around him. There were also a dozen entrances connected to the cave where he had just parked the Tiger Demon’s coffin. He again used the Heavenly Dao Engine to sense the directions, then chose a cave passage that the Heavenly Dao Engine sensed most strongly and plunged into it once more.
After continuously walking for a while, Qi Tian didn’t encounter any ambushes in this cave passage and smoothly arrived in another cavern.
This place was just like the previous cave, also parked with coffins. However, this time, there wasn’t just one coffin parked here, but a total of eight, arranged in two rows, four in each row. Each coffin had the same dimensions and even used the same exact materials. If it weren’t for the different positions they were placed in, it would be impossible to tell any difference at all.
Qi Tian took a walk around in this cavern and found nothing valuable besides these eight coffins and the dozen or so cave passages connected to it.
Qi Tian walked around each coffin again. He had not forgotten just how strange the Tiger Demon’s coffin had been and did not dare to touch these eight coffins.
Qi Tian had personally witnessed how powerful the Tiger Demon in the previous coffin was. That many Half-step Golden Core performers, cultivators at the Foundation Establishment Peak, and those at the Foundation Establishment Stage couldn’t stop it. He could imagine that whatever was inside these eight coffins would likely not be weaker than the Tiger Demon. Let’s not even talk about whether there were powerful restrictions on the coffins. Even if there weren’t, if Qi Tian was to release anything from these coffins, his only fate would be death.
Qi Tian would never do such a foolish thing. Of course, asking him to ignore these eight coffins was also impossible. If he could collect them, they might provide enormous assistance to him.
Qi Tian stretched his hand out directly. The Transporting Whirlwind flew out from his palm and swept towards the closest coffin. His goal was clear—regardless of whatever was inside the coffin—it was all to be fed directly to the Heavenly Dao Engine as fuel. Even the demon that not even a Half-step Golden Core could handle would undoubtedly please the Heavenly Dao Engine.
When he unleashed the Transporting Whirlwind, Qi Tian was a little worried that it wouldn’t be able to carry away these coffins. After all, the Transporting Whirlwind had a prior record. The slow and inefficient speed was evident when it dealt with the runes on the walls at the bottom of the tunnel. If such a situation occurred with these eight coffins, Qi Tian would have to give up. Anything could happen inside this cavern, and Qi Tian didn’t want to encounter other cultivators searching for a Gold Core opportunity. Who knew if the Tiger Demon would reappear here. It was best if he could avoid staying in one place for too long.
However, Qi Tian quickly realized his worry was unnecessary. These eight coffins were ordinary and placed casually on the ground with no restrictions imposed on them. Perhaps the coffins had strong restrictions, or perhaps there were powerful entities inside, but none of these stopped the Transporting Whirlwind from directly lifting the coffins and delivering them to the black hole appearing on Qi Tian’s palm.
The entity inside the coffin seemed to sense something. When the Transporting Whirlwind picked up the third coffin, the coffin began to violently shake. However, it was to no avail as the Transporting Whirlwind firmly clamped onto the coffin, not giving any chance to the entity inside and quickly put it into the black hole.
Then came the fourth, the fifth… The more coffins were carried away, the more violently the entity inside struggled. When it was time for the last coffin, it wasn’t just the entity inside struggling— the restriction on the surface of the coffin was also activated, and the runes emitted dangerous red lights. The power of this red light was self-evident. Any Foundation Establishment Stage cultivator would immediately melt upon touching it. These red lights actively clashed with the Transporting Whirlwind, but the whirlwind remained unaffected, still dragging the final coffin into the black hole in Qi Tian’s palm.
With the disappearance of this last coffin, Qi Tian felt a violent tremor from the Heavenly Dao Engine nesting in his Qi Sea. A new, complete blade actually grew on the turbine, which meant that the power the Heavenly Dao Engine could provide for Qi Tian had once again doubled, reaching more than four times its original power.
Qi Tian felt overjoyed. He knew that he had not made a mistake; the risk he had taken for this increase of the Heavenly Dao Engine was more than worth it.
Qi Tian chuckled, turned around, and was about to head towards the next cave passage when a few people suddenly walked out of another passage. When they entered the cavern, their eyes lit up. Two of them rushed towards Qi Tian, one from the left and one from the right, effectively blocking Qi Tian in.
