" When vimodial contractors are killed, their vimodials simply leave them to find new contractors. Vimodials can only be killed after completely taking over the beings of their contractors"

" In that state, they have erased the consciousness of their contractors and now possess physical forms through completely inhibiting the beings of their contractors. This makes them killable.

No one knows how vimodials ,whose existence is the bane of all life,came into existence -not even supreme stage universe lifeforms ...well... I do know how they exist though"

Kailen was extremely shocked. Not even the supreme existences standing at the peak of the universe knew how these creatures came into existence?

However ,what made him more shocked was that the time dilation artifact knew about how they came into existence ?

Kailen was thought of all the impossible feats of the time dilation artifact . Though they were all insane ,this was on another level. If she knew something that beings standing at the peak of the universe didn’t know? Didn’t that mean she was powerful than them?. How is that possible?

" The universe level is the highest level in the universe .Stop wasting your time on useless thoughts . Tsk! When the time is right, I will naturally tell you everything about myself. You don’t think I just want to help you become strong for your own sake do you?

It comes with a responsibility . But don’t worry, since your goal is to stand at the peak of the universe and protect those you love,my reason for grooming you will naturally align with your goals"

Kailen heaved a sigh of relief.

He had read a lot of cliché novels where the protagonist was meant to sacrifice himself for a bunch of people he didn’t even have any connection to because he came across some inheritance that groomed him for some heroic purpose.

This was not how he rolled. He only cared about himself and those he loved. If the time dilation artifact had some cliché selfless heroic goals she wanted him to accomplish, at the expense of his survival and that of his loved ones, she could read his mind- she might as well kill him and find another host.

However since she had reassured him that her goals aligned with his own,there was nothing to worry about,even if she was not ready to tell him yet.

" For now,just focus on getting stronger "

Her voice did not carry the usual childlike demeanor . Kailen could feel the urgency hidden in her voice as she spoke.

Every thing he had been through ,from before his awakening, to the incidents on earth, to currently hiding under a masked identity because he was powerless to openly confront those who wanted him dead, the encounter with the vimodial contractor , and the revelation about the vimodials , placed a sense of urgency on him to grow stronger.

Heck, there was not even a need for her to tell him to grow stronger because he knew he had to, whether for the mysterious reason she was grooming him for or not. His own ideals were enough to make him want to grow stronger .

Kailen sighed deeply " It all boils down to strength in the end. I can’t lose anyone I care about, not again. I learnt to trust ,to love again because of Arre ,Charles,Micheal ,Angela, Felicia and the others ... even Old Ha and Jackson ...If I were to lose them... "

Kailen didn’t continue thinking in that direction . If he became broken again if he were to ever lose them...

His goal was to stand at the peak. Yet,not alone.

To him, life would have no meaning without the people he loved.

Kailen was an extremist. If he cared about someone, he cared deeply .

If he hated, he hated deeply.

And if he became broken... with power... living a life of no meaning ,well.... Wouldn’t that be completely meaningless?.. and vain..?

That would describe the situation the time dilation artifact had painted to him-that there were extremely powerful individuals in the universe living extremely mundane and lonely lives. They had power and strength but their lives had no meaning because they didn’t have anyone to share that life with.

Nothing could replace companionship and friendships .

His parents did not die with some will or last words for him .

But he knew they wouldn’t want their son to live a meaningless life.

The environs seemed extremely realistic. The sensations ,movements ,everything was like reality.

"As expected of 99 percent reality simulation "

Kailen couldn’t help but be amazed.

" Helena would laugh at her virtual reality development when she compares it to this one.

I’m sure she has entered the virtual universe network by now. Would love to see the expression on the face of one of earth’s greatest scientists when she compares her software to this one" Kailen mused to himself .

He furthered " She should be in secluded training right, breaking through to the ascendant level"

He observed his surroundings for a while then mused to himself "Anyway, where am I ?"
