Chapter 153: Your Capabilities

Adam’s breath caught in his throat.

Only now did it truly dawn on him why Priscilla had been so tense, why her emotions had been teetering on the edge of despair and desperation.

She hadn’t just acted out of jealousy, or obsession, or even misplaced loyalty.

She was scared.

Not of Adam... but for him.

Priscilla’s voice broke through the silence, quiet at first, yet carrying the burden of knowing what she currently knows.

Minerva growled lowly, still very much pissed off, but at the same time she knew staying angry would not solve a single thing.

"Tshhh... so that is why... you tried to seal him away in your blood prison?"

Priscilla didn’t deny it.

"I thought it was the only way. If she could’t find him, she couldn’t claim him. I didn’t want to trap him forever, I just wanted to buy time."

Adam’s gaze dropped, his mind spinning. As if that wasn’t enough, Priscilla wasn’t done.

"And then there is your father. Turns out he is not just some disgraced noble. He is a member of Der Äonische Kreis... Which makes this even more worse."

"As we all know that organization is an underground faction. Classified as terrorists by the empire. Their purpose is simple: to annihilate the entire royal bloodline. They believe the empire is corrupt beyond redemption... and your father, Adam, is one of their inner circle, by the looks of it."

Adam stared into space, his hands trembling slightly, not surprised but rather it was clear that shit is going to be a pain moving forward.

Without walking into multiple dead end for sure, before he finds a way to resolve this.

On the other hand Minerva finally exhaled and began calming down, her monster energy dimming slowly.

"Well... this just got complicated as all hell."

She said, pinching the bridge of her nose.

"It goes without saying Adam’s needs 24/7 protection."

Priscilla scoffed.

"Or... we just lock him away. It’s safer... If we can’t stop what is coming, then we use that to our advantage and let her come to us."

Minerva spun toward her, rage sparking once again.

"Hell fuckin no! That’s straight-up abuse and you goddamn know it! You really think lockin him in some damn dimension is gonna save him?! He ain’t some animal, he is our freakin little brother, you psycho bloodsucking maniac!"

Priscilla held her tongue, lips tightening.

No solution felt right. No choice was safe.

And yet, something had to be done, atleast in her blood she was basically God, she had more power in her space than out here.

In there she felt like she could take on a Great Spirit with ease.

But that was beside the point here.

On the other hand, Adam attention soon shifted again.

As Minerva turned towards him now, her voice changing to something softer in tone but no less serious.

"Tch... alright, now listen, dumbass. You know how dangerous things are gettin. But if you’re still hidin what you can really do, your true capabilities, how the hell are we supposed to feel safe lettin you run around out there?"

Minerva explains as she continued.

And she was making a damn good argument.

"You don’t wanna be locked up? Fine, I get it. But then you gotta prove to us you’re strong enough to handle this shit. Cause if you don’t, nuts like Priscilla’ll keep doin whatever the hell they think is best for you... and honestly, I don’t wanna see you get hurt, either."

She crossed her arms, giving him that familiar stare, the one that cut through all bullshit.

"It is time to come clean boy."

Adam paused, tension clearly thick in the air.

He considered deflecting, lying again, or giving only pieces of the truth.

But that wouldn’t work anymore.

Not with them.

Priscilla had nearly sealed him in her blood forever. Minerva was ready to go to war for him.

They deserved the truth.

Or rather most of the truth.

He sighed, his shoulders slumping.

"You’re gonna want to sit down."

He muttered.

Both women exchanged glances, but they obeyed, dropping to the ground as they all landed near the bench in the courtyard.

Adam took a deep breath, then began to explain.

"All right. Here’s everything. No more lies."

He closed his eyes.

As he began to explain everything. From his contract with The Divine Spirit of Promise.

To him receiving the Gate’s of Magic, saying he got from that same Divine Spirit.

Along with the many benefits this Gate gives him.

Adam also explain, or admitted something Echidna told him to keep a secret.

But deep down he felt like she wanted him to tell them now.

And as he pour out his soul into this confession about the Codex.

Their eyes widen with absolute shock.

He even explain what his Metahuman powers are, and how his body could handle monster DNA in of itself.

Also the powers he got after coming to the Human World, and how the human empire royal family seem be love by the planet itself.

He leaves nothing behind in his explanation.

But it was when he explained his last power, the very same power Priscilla mistook as future vision.

Naturally.

Adam wanted to tell the truth but for this one he will lie to an extent.

"All right, and last but not least."

He began.

His voice was low, steady, as his eyes shimmered faintly, betraying the truth he had been carrying.

"I have a power. It’s not something I chose. You see it all started years ago, without warning."

Minerva tilted her head, her sharp gaze locking onto his.

"I see things... in my dreams. But they’re not my dreams. I experience moments in the future, like a fragmented vision. But not from my own eyes."

That made both women pause.

"What do you mean?"

Priscilla asked slowly.

And Adam’s tone grew darker.

"I see through other people. Sometimes enemies, sometimes strangers, sometimes... one of you."

"And I live through their actions. Their decisions. Their deaths. I feel it all as if it’s my own."

Minerva’s brows furrowed.

"Wait so you’re sayin you dream the future?"

"Yes."

He nodded.

"But it is more than a dream. It is all very much real. The emotions, the outcomes, every mistake I see, every tragedy, it actually happens. Or will happen. I don’t know when. Sometimes I think I’m being shown what is meant to happen if I don’t intervene."

Priscilla blinked, almost in disbelief.

"You’ve been seeing our futures... and keeping it to yourself?"

Adam exhaled.

"I didn’t ask for it... Just so you know."

"And I don’t get to choose what I see, or whose eyes I borrow. Most of the time, I wake up drenched in sweat with those memories."
