Chapter 751

Chapter 751: Chapter 751

Although Yang Fan was still somewhat attached to Han Palace and Zhang Yulan’s clubhouse, he couldn’t help but feel a little disdain for places like these.

"Explain your entire scam process to me. Don’t lie, or I might not be able to control my hands," Yang Fan said coldly. "Just the money I spent searching for you has already exceeded ten thousand yuan. Think about that carefully."

"Big brother, you’re... really persistent." The woman was somewhat shocked.

She couldn’t quite wrap her head around why someone would spend multiple times the amount they’d lost over just a few thousand yuan to track someone down.

Still, she had no idea that this was simply a new persona Yang Fan had decided to adopt.

"I’m the kind of person who likes to obsess over things. People say I’m extreme, and I’ll admit it," Yang Fan sneered. "The things you said back then really moved me, made me genuinely happy for a time, thinking I’d hit the jackpot."

"But the devastation that followed was too intense. Even if you’d pretended to care for just two more days, I wouldn’t have done any of this. But you didn’t. The moment I left, you very decisively blocked me and moved to a different location."

"At that moment, I swore I would make people like you, who play with others, pay the price!"

The woman’s face turned increasingly pale with fear.

From Yang Fan’s words, she sensed just how serious the situation was. Trembling, she forced herself to suppress the fear in her voice, speaking softly and sweetly, "Big brother, I’ll give your money back to you. I’ll even cover what you spent. Let me go, please. I’m just a worker here. All of this was decided by my boss. If I want to earn money, I have to listen to him."

"That money was yours to return in the first place." Yang Fan’s expression turned fiercely menacing, and the force in the hand gripping his dagger increased. "Who is your boss? Speak clearly."

"I’ll return it, I will! Big brother, don’t get worked up, please! I’m already being very cooperative," the woman stammered, her voice becoming sharp with panic.

Yang Fan stared indifferently at the woman. "Or you can take a gamble and see if, when you start screaming, I’ll slit your throat on the spot."

"I wouldn’t! I won’t scream, I promise!" Her voice quivered with sobs as she pleaded.

"I only know our boss’s last name is Liu, and he has a nickname—Liu Guai. He has a limp in his right leg. Other than that, I really don’t know much. Usually, he contacts us online and rarely shows up in person."

"I heard from some of the other girls that he also runs a few bigger businesses. The girls who work under him rotate through shifts. Sometimes we work here, sometimes at other places. Since I joined later, I haven’t been assigned to a storefront yet."

Yang Fan reached out to tug at the woman’s slightly open collar, examining a spot that had been gnawed on by who knows how many people, his expression cold and grim as he asked, "And the scamming part—your boss arranged that as well?"

The woman bit her lip hard and nodded. "Yes, that’s part of our performance targets..."

"Our boss has a lot of locations. If we scam someone in one place, we immediately rotate to another and continue. The old place will then be staffed by other girls. One of the more experienced girls said that with the way the rotation works, it usually takes several months to cycle through all the locations, so even people we’ve scammed before wouldn’t be able to find us."

"However, to be cautious, we generally target people from out of town—those who are just visiting for a short while. If we scam locals, it’s easier for us to be recognized if we return."

Yang Fan grabbed at the spot on the woman’s body that had been pawed by countless others, speaking indifferently, "Hand over the money. What are you hesitating for? Are you waiting for my understanding?"

"Ah... Alright, alright! I’ll transfer it right away!" the woman hurriedly pulled out her phone, ready to make a transfer to Yang Fan.

Just then, the locked door suddenly burst open from the outside.

Three shirtless men, their bodies covered in disorganized tattoos, charged into the room.

"Wow, I thought I was being pretty discreet. How’d you guys find me?" Yang Fan, unfazed, even had time to crack a joke.

"Let her go, and I’ll let you leave here with all your limbs intact. Otherwise, you’re not leaving. We have plenty of ways to deal with people like you who wreck our business. Trust me, every part of you is worth a decent price," the bald leader threatened with a sinister grin.

Yang Fan sheathed his dagger and glanced around, failing to find anything handy to use as a weapon. In the end, he silently pulled out his wooden mace. After testing its strength earlier on that dried corpse, he knew it was durable enough to serve as a weapon in a fight.

"We can discuss things in a bit. In the meantime, maybe you can think about how they found me and offer a reasonable explanation. As for other concerns, I’d set them aside for now—you won’t have the chance," Yang Fan said, patting the woman on the shoulder in a tone that sounded almost heartfelt. Then, like a leopard, he pounced.

With his Inner Qi working in sync with his techniques, it channeled into the wooden mace and smashed down on the bald leader.

Bang!

The bald man’s body pitched forward, collapsing straight to the ground.

Yang Fan scanned the others quickly, shifting his focus to the remaining two men.

"Get moving! Still thinking of dodging?"

A sweeping strike, a vertical smash—bullseye!

Bang!

Another man slammed into the wall.

Though he didn’t pass out, he clutched his arm, wailing in pain. Judging by the unnatural angle of his arm, it seemed pretty cleanly broken.

The remaining man, seeing the scene, turned and tried to flee.

Yang Fan dashed forward in a single stride, executing a powerful move to split Hua Mountain.

Bang!

The wooden mace landed square on the back of the man’s head, and he, too, happily dropped to the floor.

Yang Fan put away the mace, grabbed the man by the ankle, and dragged him back into the room, shutting the door behind him again.

Lighting a cigarette, Yang Fan stared at the tattooed thug clutching his broken arm, speaking calmly, "Do you know you’re annoying me? Either you behave, or I’ll knock out all your teeth, rip out your tongue, and then see if you still want to make noise."

The tattooed thug instantly shut his mouth.

The obedient look on his face put this woman to shame with how much more cooperative he was.

Yang Fan nodded in satisfaction, then slowly walked back to the woman, snatching her phone from her left hand. "Unlock it."

"Big brother, I-I’m sorry... I was wrong, truly wrong. Please, let me go, okay?" She begged tearfully.

Yang Fan’s expression darkened abruptly. With a backhand slap, he sent her delicate body tumbling twice through the air before she crashed to the ground.

Slap!

"Unlock it now." Yang Fan held the phone out to her face.

"You scam people and still expect kindness in return? There’s no such logic in this world. Hurry up, and don’t test my patience."

Clutching her rapidly reddening cheek, the woman trembled as she unlocked her phone with shaky hands.

As the phone unlocked, the first screen revealed was her chat interface with someone.
