Chapter 750: Chapter 750

Facing Yang Fan’s straightforward threat, the plump woman remained fearless, letting out a cold laugh as she said, "Little brat, are you trying to intimidate your ancestors? I’ve been running this shop in this dump for ten years. People come and go upstairs every day, and the bedboards creak from morning until three in the morning—never had a single issue arise. You want to mess with me? Go ahead, try me if you dare."

Yang Fan chuckled lightly. "But sometimes, accidents do happen, right? If you walk by the river often, you can’t avoid getting your shoes wet."

"Or perhaps, you were already working with that woman? Are you the mastermind behind the scam?"

There was undoubtedly an organization behind these people.

If this shopkeeper wasn’t the organizer, then she must be taking a cut from the middle.

The plump woman snorted, slamming shut the small payment window and waving her hand impatiently. "Scram, scram, hurry up and get lost!"

Yang Fan remained calm, not bothering to argue further. He strolled out of the inn.

"Get your receipt out." After leaving, Yang Fan turned into a nearby alley and spoke.

Wang Daqiang pulled out the receipt, his expression confused. "What’s the use of this now? These people are obviously in league with each other. We can’t do anything. Should we just let them have it?"

"Hold your horses; it’s not time yet," Yang Fan said. "Turn around. What happens next isn’t something you should see."

Wang Daqiang’s eyes lit up suddenly. "Ah, I see! You’re going to... Damn, I completely forgot about your special talent—what a cheat you are."

"I don’t cheat," Yang Fan responded, waving a hand to signal Wang Daqiang to turn around.

His abilities were honed through sheer talent, not some kind of cheat.

After Wang Daqiang turned away, Yang Fan pulled out the embroidered shoes, murmuring softly, "Find the owner of the person who wrote this character!"

A voice echoed within Yang Fan’s mind.

"Can you say ’I love you’?"

"I love you!" Yang Fan declared with heartfelt sincerity.

You must love!

With such a powerful assistant at his side, how could he not adore it?

The embroidered shoes stomped on the ground, then turned and began walking to the far end of the alley.

Yang Fan patted Wang Daqiang on the shoulder. "Come on, let’s follow."

"All set?"

"Let’s go!"

The two followed the embroidered shoes as it wove through the labyrinth of alleys in the decrepit old city district.

Yang Fan felt as though his head was spinning from all the twists and turns.

This old district was a maze. The main roads connected on the outside, but inside, it was packed with crisscrossing alleys more intricate than an actual labyrinth.

After nearly half an hour of walking, Wang Daqiang suddenly grabbed Yang Fan’s arm. "That’s her, that’s her!"

Yang Fan looked up to see two women standing at the entrance of a small inn in the middle of the alley.

By now, the embroidered shoes had reached them, but the two women didn’t seem to notice. They continued chatting and laughing as though nothing had happened.

"Old Wang, you hide for now while I go check things out," Yang Fan said.

"Alright."

Wang Daqiang paused and ducked out of sight.

Yang Fan walked straight toward them, his eyes locked onto the embroidered shoes.

It was pressing its toe against the foot of one of the girls, grinding back and forth, but the girl didn’t react at all.

This thing could turn invisible?

If the girl had seen it, wouldn’t she already be screaming her lungs out in terror? How could she possibly be so calm?

This hidden ability immediately solved many of Yang Fan’s logistical headaches.

From now on, he could use it openly without worrying about anyone seeing.

Yang Fan approached, stopping in front of the girl. Calmly, he picked up the embroidered shoes and stuffed them into his pocket.

"Is this how you usually pick people? I’m already wearing something—there’s nothing for you to see." The girl stepped back slightly, bending over to address Yang Fan.

Yang Fan’s crouching motion to retrieve the shoes must have been misunderstood by her.

Yang Fan didn’t speak; he merely stared at the woman, sizing her up seriously.

She looked to be around twenty-seven or twenty-eight, slightly plump, with a full figure and an innocent yet appealing face. Her features were indeed quite nice.

What’s more, she knew how to dress up—a black knee-length skirt paired with a low-cut top added a seductive flair that made her all the more captivating. No wonder Wang Daqiang kept muttering about how "comfortable" she seemed. She did indeed carry a certain charm.

"Want to play?" the woman asked.

Yang Fan nodded.

The woman shot him a look, then turned and walked into the inn.

Yang Fan followed in silence.

On the third floor of the inn, the woman opened an old, shabby room.

The inn itself was quite run-down; it seemed unlikely that anyone genuinely rented rooms here to stay overnight.

The rooms were probably either unoccupied or used by these women as temporary workstations.

Once inside the room, the woman locked the door and lightly placed her delicate hand on Yang Fan’s shoulder, speaking in a coy voice, "Little brother, how do you want to play it? Something simple, something thrilling, or are you looking for absolute satisfaction?"

"What’s the difference?" Yang Fan asked.

The woman chuckled, her voice seductive and beguiling. "Little brother, can’t you figure that out? Something simple is straightforward—I just lie down, lift my skirt, and you get busy. I won’t rush you, but there’s nothing extra—one hundred and fifty."

"Thrilling means the full package, like what you’d get at those fancy clubs for a thousand bucks. Here, it’s five hundred. Absolute satisfaction? Easier still. Two hours—you can go all out—one thousand."

"Which one’s it gonna be?"

Yang Fan silently pulled the small knife from his pocket and pressed it against the woman’s slender neck. "Let’s play."

The woman’s lively expression instantly froze. "Big brother, you... you... don’t... do this!"

"Don’t get worked up. Whether it’s money or people you’re after, I’ll cooperate completely—just don’t get worked up."

"You conned me before, and I’m not sure if it left any lingering effects, but it sure made me search for you relentlessly!" Yang Fan growled, his voice menacing. "I f***ing hate scammers more than anything. Telling me not to get worked up? Do you think I can stay calm? Do you know how much effort I put into finding you? And here you are, comfortably earning money in a new spot, pretending not to recognize me."

Yang Fan deliberately played the role of a victim.

He bet that this woman had tricked so many people she couldn’t remember them all.

"Big brother, are you... mistaken?" the woman stammered.

"You think I’d mistake you?" Yang Fan snapped coldly. "Cooperate a little, or this blade might lose its sense of direction. Let’s have a nice chat about what’s going on here."

"Alright, alright, I’ll do whatever you say..." the woman stuttered.

Feeling the sharp edge of the knife and the chill that seemed to seep into her very bones, the woman’s voice trembled uncontrollably.

Yang Fan grabbed a handful of the woman’s hair, dragging her to the edge of the bed.

"Big brother, d-do you want to start off with something? I-I can take care of you..." the woman quivered.

"Not necessary!" Yang Fan rejected her sharply.
