Chapter 708
Chapter 708: Chapter 708
Fan Sisi is currently the most magnanimous woman Yun Miaoyi has ever seen—no exceptions.
Previously, there was a girl who came to her shop. That girl worked at a shady place to financially support both her boyfriend and her boyfriend’s mistress. The three of them lived together. Neither of those two worked; they relied entirely on that one girl to support them.
At the time, Yun Miaoyi was completely shocked, thinking that the girl was purely out of her mind.
Fan Sisi’s magnanimity, Yun Miaoyi felt, was pretty much on par with that girl.
The biggest difference between the two was the man.
Yang Fan was much more of a man than that girl’s boyfriend—he could make money, knew many things, and carried an air of mystery about him.
Aside from this point, Yun Miaoyi felt that in other aspects, Fan Sisi and that girl were about the same—a toss-up.
"It looks like you’re quite bothered by this matter?" Fan Sisi glanced at Yun Miaoyi with a faint smile and said.
"If you’re bothered, then there’s nothing we can do. After all, there’s an order to everything—first come, first served. We were ahead of you. One person can’t possibly take on all of us... and yes, you heard me right, it’s not just one or two of us—it’s several people."
Yun Miaoyi’s expression immediately looked akin to someone constipated. After holding back for a while, she finally forced a bitter smile and asked, "Can I know why?"
"Why we’re doing this?" Fan Sisi asked.
Yun Miaoyi nodded.
She was far too curious!
When things like this happen in reality, why did they feel so surreal?
Fan Sisi seriously thought for a moment, then shook her head and said, "There’s no ’why.’ I think Fanzi is great—excellent, actually. His outlook matches mine, his personality complements mine, and getting along with him is so easy and enjoyable. So, naturally, we ended up together."
"As for the others, I’m not sure. Maybe their reasoning is somewhat similar. Oh, wait, I do know about my best friend’s situation. She’s had her eyes on Fanzi for a long time and even spiked his drink to force herself onto him."
Yun Miaoyi: !!!
Her brain felt like it was about to explode.
Could this really happen?
"Seems pretty wild to you? Actually, it’s not wild at all. If you like someone, just go for it." Fan Sisi chuckled. "With Fanzi’s looks, it’s natural for us to be moved—and maybe even use a few tricks, don’t you think?"
On this point, Yun Miaoyi had to admit it.
A handsome face is indeed the main trigger for most women’s hormones.
Only after spending enough time together or after considering the practicalities of living life as a couple does one begin to factor in things like finances and other aspects.
Previously, when Yun Miaoyi had hinted at certain intentions toward Yang Fan, the majority of her reasoning was to cultivate a relationship with him—to use her body and charm to maintain this "incense affinity" in exchange for uncovering more details of the secrets tied to her tea house.
But, truth be told, a small part of it was also driven by attraction.
Every day, many customers came to her shop. But the one man she genuinely wanted to sleep with was Yang Fan.
This feeling was like two magnetic fields irresistibly drawn to each other.
"To be honest, just listening to this feels like hearing a story. And not just any story—a highly bizarre one," Yun Miaoyi said.
Fan Sisi smiled nonchalantly. "What’s so bizarre about it? In the past, it was commonplace for multiple women to serve one man. Nowadays, all this talk about female superiority—well, I don’t want to listen to a word of it. Women empowering themselves and becoming independent is absolutely right, but putting women above men? That’s going too far. True ’Righteous Path’ is men and women supporting each other, mutually comforting one another."
"So, now you should understand my point, right? If you have any thoughts, just say them outright. I won’t object—but I’ll assess the situation first."
She had already gathered what she wanted to know.
So, unless something unexpected happened, this conversation was about to wrap up.
Yun Miaoyi bit her lip, hesitating for quite a while before leaning close to Fan Sisi’s ear and said quietly, "To be completely honest, I really do have some of those thoughts. But it’s not like I want to become Mr. Yang’s girlfriend or anything—I don’t mean that."
"It’s more like... just a spur-of-the-moment desire to experience something with Mr. Yang. How should I explain this... It’s like, when I see him, I feel that kind of magnetic pull, but it’s certainly not love—definitely not at that level yet."
"The reason I think this way is actually because I want to figure out what secrets are hidden within my tea house. The things Mr. Yang told us were very detailed, but they didn’t entirely resolve the problem, so I’m still unsettled."
Fan Sisi’s expression stiffened slightly.
Great—she seemed to have shot herself in the foot this time.
Although Yang Fan and Yun Miaoyi had no relationship, this woman genuinely entertained these thoughts.
"So, what are your thoughts now?" Fan Sisi asked, trying to maintain her composure.
Yun Miaoyi suddenly became a bit shy and bashful. "If Miss Fan doesn’t mind, I’d like to get closer to Mr. Yang. Or, if Miss Fan is willing to help, that would be even better."
"I certainly can’t help with that." Fan Sisi shook her head. "My grandpa and Fanzi never talk much to me about things like this. They always pick the easiest, least complicated things and tell me those. Like that pair of shoes you just saw—no one ever explained where they come from or what they really are."
Truthfully, Fan Sisi was more inclined to approach Yang Fan and ask him directly.
But she knew that since Yang Fan and her grandfather hadn’t mentioned those topics earlier, asking now would undoubtedly yield no answers.
However, if she outright rejected Yun Miaoyi’s suggestion, wouldn’t the "persona" she’d just crafted crumble instantly?
For a moment, Fan Sisi was caught in a dilemma.
"But honestly, I think even if you use this approach, you won’t get anything out of it. You’ll just end up losing everything," Fan Sisi said. "If Fanzi didn’t tell you something before, he certainly won’t tell you later."
"Though, generally speaking, Fanzi is very truthful. He wouldn’t lie to you when it comes to life-and-death matters."
"I know. I’m just curious—I want to figure out what kind of place is hidden within my tea house," Yun Miaoyi said. "I know this might sound like I’m asking too much, or even behaving a bit unscrupulously. Miss Fan, you’re completely free to refuse—I’d totally understand."
"It’s just that since you spoke so candidly earlier, I thought I’d honestly share my own thoughts. But for now, it’s just an idea."
Fan Sisi puffed out her chest with confidence, "What kind of talk is that? I model myself after Bu Lianshi—a woman who seeks out women for her own man. It’s a beautiful thing! By doing so, he won’t leave me; instead, he’ll cling to me even more. Do you believe that?"
The words were already spoken, and the character she portrayed was already established. Even if she had to grit her teeth and swallow her pride to keep going, Fan Sisi would force herself to stay in character now. Deep down, though, she really wanted to cry—shooting her own foot hurt like hell!
Yun Miaoyi was stunned and nodded repeatedly. "I believe it!"
If someone was being this forthright, how could she possibly not believe?
What reason did she have not to believe?
