Chapter 316: Chapter 316

In the evening, Yang Fan naturally spent the night at Fan Sisi’s restaurant.

Because things got a bit rough, Fan Sisi’s body visibly swelled, and that night they did nothing but kiss and caress in bed. They didn’t do anything else.

It wasn’t until they got up the next morning that, provoked by Fan Sisi’s initiative, Yang Fan pinned her down and gave her a good sorting out.

This time, he felt like he had regained his dignity.

Both of them woke up at seven and didn’t stop until nine.

And this time, Fan Sisi certainly had a reason to linger in bed, as she could hardly walk steadily.

She thought she could handle it after resting for the night, but her body betrayed her.

The overlapping old and new injuries made it so that she couldn’t even steady her legs, trembling even when leaning against the wall. After trying and failing, Fan Sisi silently gave up on watching over the shop and called her front desk to give instructions.

Such an outcome left Fan Sisi with some complaints, but realizing she was the one who initiated it, her complaints lost their force as she grumbled that Yang Fan had no idea how to treat women gently, practically destroying her.

Yang Fan coaxed her with gentle words and they let the matter pass.

Just as he was about to leave, Fan Sisi suddenly remembered the purpose of Yang Fan’s visit and stopped him to take out a wooden whip with a deep red sheen from the cabinet to hand to him.

To Fan Sisi, it might have been called a whip, but to Yang Fan, it looked pretty much like a mace.

Either way, in terms of shape or size, it was quite similar.

"How does this work? Or rather, what’s it used for?" Yang Fan asked.

Looking radiant and moisturized after their intense engagement, Fan Sisi playfully squinted her eyes and said, "You’ll know once you give it a try. I can’t really explain it."

"It’s just a wooden toy, why the secrecy?" Yang Fan said as he swung the wooden whip around.

Fan Sisi huffed lightly and retorted, "Have you ever seen a wooden toy that’s this expensive? I don’t know about other things, but don’t lose this one. It can be useful to carry around for self-defense."

Yang Fan swung the whip around, testing its feel, and commented, "Using this thing to hit someone probably wouldn’t be effective, right? It feels like it would break after a couple of strikes."

"I don’t know, just give it a try and you’ll see," said Fan Sisi, her eyes shimmering with mischief.

Yang Fan had a feeling she knew something but wasn’t willing to tell.

"You’re not being honest at all. It’s just a thing, what’s there to hide? Alright then, I’ll trust you," Yang Fan nodded and said. "There’s something more important I have to ask. Can I still be with you in the future?"

He hadn’t forgotten what Fan Sisi had said the day before about it being just for one day.

"Hmm... It depends on my mood," Fan Sisi pursed her lips and said, "If I’m really in the mood one day, I might come to you proactively and let you have your way with me. But if it’s just a casual thought, I probably won’t seek you out."

"So you’re saying if I come to you it won’t be okay?" Yang Fan immediately felt somewhat disappointed.

She seemed much more rational than Li Jia.

"It’s the same principle," Fan Sisi thought seriously for a moment and then said, "If you feel like you’re about to burst, you can come to me, but I’ll still decide based on my mood. If I’m in a good mood, I’ll take care of you, but if not, I might go to the market and find you a young lady to help you release some tension."

"See how thoughtful my arrangements are? I still have to give it some thought for the future. If I make up my mind, maybe you can come to me whenever you want. But if I haven’t decided, it’s likely not going to happen. Yesterday was a special case; don’t take it as my normal behavior."

"You’ve thought this through pretty well," Yang Fan said with a tinge of regret, "but I understand how you feel."

Fan Sisi’s past, he now knew crystal clear.

So, when she said it like that, Yang Fan could truly understand.

Fan Sisi blinked her large eyes rapidly, somewhat surprised she asked, "You’re not going to fight for it anymore?"

Yang Fan looked deeply into Fan Sisi’s eyes and said earnestly, "I am fighting for it, I will wait until you’ve made up your mind. If I say too much now, I feel it might pressure you, so I’d better say less and wait for you to decide."

"Alright, um... I still want to thank you. Although it was a bit painful yesterday, I had a pleasant time," said Fan Sisi seriously.

Yang Fan smiled and said, "I also thank you. You were really tight and wet!"

Fan Sisi’s fair and rosy cheeks immediately flushed red, "Go on, get out, you’re starting again."

Yang Fan chuckled, didn’t linger any longer, and then left Fan Sisi’s room.

This one day and night had been too fulfilling, giving him the illusion as if he had lived through several days.

When he hailed a taxi and arrived at the town, his Bai Cao Pavilion had already opened up.

The sister-in-law and the landlord Bai Mengzhu were cleaning up.

Yang Fan suddenly felt guilty like he was caught red-handed. He steadied himself outside the shop entrance and then walked in with the Wooden Whip.

"Why aren’t you in the store?" As expected, Ye Tong’s first question upon seeing Yang Fan was about his whereabouts.

Yang Fan said casually as if it were nothing, "I went to deliver some goods to Old Zhou last evening and had a little drink. I accidentally drank too much."

Old Zhou had now become the constant scapegoat on Yang Fan’s lips.

Ye Tong glanced at Yang Fan with slight reproach, "Drink less, you’re turning into an alcoholic and a chain smoker."

Yang laughed heartily and nodded incessantly in agreement.

"Sister-in-law, how come you’re here so early today?" he asked, shifting the topic.

"It’s all because of that little tyrant in our home. She woke up this morning, clamoring for lychees and strawberries, so I came to buy them for her," said Ye Tong, shaking her head. "That darn girl is recently as clingy as a ghost, wheedling anyone she can, giving me a headache."

"Are you talking about Yang Yuan?" asked Yang Fan in surprise.

This girl had been acting a bit abnormal recently, hadn’t she?

"Yes, who else would it be?" Ye Tong smiled helplessly and rinsed the cloth in the basin.

"Don’t spoil her. She’s old enough to buy things herself if she wants to eat," said Yang Fan.

"She didn’t want to come alone, so she pleaded with me. I certainly wouldn’t make a special trip just for her. I was merely accompanying her," said Ye Tong with a smile, turning to look at the Wooden Whip in Yang Fan’s hands. "What’s that?"

"A Wooden Whip made of Thunderstruck Wood. The buyer was quite interesting; they paid a high price for the item but also gave me a gift," said Yang Fan.

Ye Tong asked out of curiosity, "What’s the use of this thing?"

"I don’t know, the seller didn’t specify. It’s probably like some sort of artistic object," said Yang Fan.

"You said this is made of Thunderstruck Wood?" Bai Mengzhu, who was cleaning the glass door, suddenly asked.
