Goodbye, Ex-husband! I’m Pregnant with Your Uncle’s Child! -
Chapter 96: Don’t Want to Go to Bed Anymore?
Chapter 96: Chapter 96: Don’t Want to Go to Bed Anymore?
Julia Land’s question was so inconceivable.
She suddenly felt like her brain was broken.
James Thompson’s thin lips curved slightly, "I think it’s your brain that’s broken."
Julia Land was instantly dumbfounded.
"How can you curse me like that?"
Don’t want to sleep together anymore, right?
James Thompson didn’t want to continue with this uninspiring topic, "Be good, don’t talk nonsense. Our private lives are very clean; you lack some medical knowledge."
When a man gets straight to the point, it’s really a matter of life and death.
"How about having dinner together tonight?"
"I’m not going. My brain is sick; I need treatment."
Julia Land raised an eyebrow; she stood up and nodded with a smile, "Thank you, Doctor Thompson. I’ll be leaving first."
James Thompson chuckled under his breath.
He swept her off her feet, literally picking up the pretentious Julia Land.
Julia let out a quiet exclamation, her fingers clutching at his clothes.
He said very seriously, "It’s Mr. Thompson whose brain is sick."
"Don’t be angry."
Julia Land smiled, her eyes curving into crescents.
Suddenly, she understood why some girls become capricious after getting a boyfriend.
It’s the spice of their interaction.
In a word, it’s sweet.
"I’ll dine with you, but I have to go back to Sincere Heart Community afterward."
James Thompson, "I’ll go back to Sincere Heart with you."
Julia Land, "No way."
The two ’no ways’ came a bit too quickly.
James Thompson narrowed his eyes, looking somewhat dangerous, "Why not? I just want to hold you while sleeping, not necessarily do anything."
Julia Land, "..."
It was her who thought too much; a hug was fine.
"I’ll carry you out."
James Thompson carried his ’sick’ girlfriend out of the break room.
Julia Land asked to be put down, but he didn’t, and so she let him carry her.
A handsome man, holding a beautiful woman, walking down the corridor.
It was a pleasing sight.
Julia Land suddenly remembered the first time she went to the hospital thinking of getting an abortion; Noah Quarter had held Arabella Shaw just like this while entering the hospital.
Now she had Mr. Thompson to hold her too.
James Thompson carried Julia Land to the parking lot, opened the car door, and placed her inside.
He stood outside the car, leaning over with his large hand cradling her head, kissing her.
She had just stopped in the break room, and now it was his turn.
...
The car reached the restaurant.
James Thompson ordered the dishes that Julia Land loved to eat.
"Mr. Thompson, did you take action against Quarter Group because of me?"
During the meal, Julia Land asked this question.
"How did you know?" James Thompson didn’t deny it but he still explained, "Quarter Group has been well-managed; causing trouble needs to be done slowly."
Julia Land giggled.
The two of them didn’t continue this topic; they both knew what was up.
As the evening approached.
James Thompson, feeling languid, attempted to slip into bed but was stopped by Julia Land kicking him with her foot.
"Sleep on the floor. The sleeping mat is over there, see?"
James Thompson incredulously, "Why can’t I hold you while we sleep?"
Julia Land squinted her eyes, her foot continuing to press against his thigh, "I still remember you calling me brain sick and cursing my lack of medical knowledge."
James Thompson looked aggrieved, "But I also cursed myself for being brain sick."
He added, "Plus, STDs are transmitted through sexual behavior. Since we both respect ourselves a lot, that’s not a risk, and as for blood-borne diseases, I’ve always been very careful as a doctor."
Doctor Thompson was imparting medical knowledge to Julia Land.
Julia Land stayed silent for a moment, then couldn’t help but burst into laughter, clutching her stomach.
After she had her fill of laughter, it was still the same sentence, "You sleep on the floor."
James Thompson grabbed the foot that was pressing on his thigh.
The sole of her foot was ticklish.
A particularly sensitive spot.
The man was cunning, his finger scratching the sole of her foot.
!!!
He casually asked, "Can Mr. Thompson get into bed now? Hmm?"
That ’hmm’ was raised in such a wavy manner.
"James Thompson..." Julia Land, ticklish, tried to pull her foot back but was feeble; tears streamed from her eyes as she breathed deeply, "Okay, okay."
James Thompson spared her foot.
As the saying goes, the magic rises a yard for every foot the Tao does.
Julia Land had no energy left to match wits with James Thompson.
The man chuckled lightly; he knelt on one knee between her legs, his body enveloping her.
His slender fingers moved to her back and unhooked the clasp of her bra.
...
In the morning, when the work alarm rang, Julia Land sat up holding the comforter.
James Thompson saw Julia Land awaken.
As he picked up his belt and threaded it through his pants’ loops, he said to the dazed Julia Land in bed, "There’s breakfast in the thermal pot in the kitchen, corn porridge."
Julia Land nodded weakly.
James Thompson walked over and extended his long fingers, pulling her slip straps back onto her shoulders, "I’m off to work, see you tonight."
"Mhm."
James Thompson went downstairs; Jasper Winters was already waiting by the car door.
He bent down and got into the car.
Jasper also got in and said, "BOSS, at nine o’clock, you have an appointment with the ring and dress designers; they’ll bring over their proposals."
"Arrange for them to go to Noble Grid Hotel. Let’s drive," instructed James Thompson.
Jasper responded affirmatively, then sent the meeting location to the designers.
All the designers were renowned in their fields.
As the car drove away from Sincere Heart Community, Jasper turned back to mention another thing, "Noah Quarter seems to have caught on that it was you who was after him."
"Mhm, Little Pear told me."
James Thompson’s voice held a placid tone.
Everyone was no fool.
The designers had already arrived at the Noble Grid Hotel lobby and were waiting.
"Never would’ve thought this gentleman would go to such lengths."
It was just an engagement ring, yet he had invited several famous designers from the industry.
And there were nearly ten dress designers.
Half an hour later, James Thompson’s car arrived at Noble Grid Hotel.
Jasper personally escorted the designers to the private room.
The designers finally saw the person.
A young and handsome man.
They presented their designs to James Thompson, one by one.
Choosing a dress was relatively easy.
It was the ring that gave James Thompson some trouble.
He didn’t know which style Little Pear would like.
Jasper suggested, "BOSS, maybe you should ask Miss Land?"
James Thompson thought Jasper, the perennial singleton, was unreliable, "I’m planning a surprise for Little Pear; how is it a surprise if I ask?"
"Choose this design, the ring engraved with Li & Zhi."
Li represents the pinyin for ’pear,’ and Zhi for ’Thompson.’
