Chapter 90: Chapter 90: My Scumbag Ex-Husband Goes Mad! Seeing Me Enter the Wrong Room 2

Arabella Shaw returned home late in the evening after finishing recording her show.

She saw Noah Quarter sitting in the living room.

Walking over with excitement, she hugged him from behind and rested her head on his shoulder, "When did you come back, you didn’t even say anything in advance."

"I came back to surprise you."

Noah Quarter put down his phone and said indifferently.

Arabella bit her lips with a smile and kissed his cheek, "I’m going to take a shower, I’ve been busy all day."

"Okay."

Noah Quarter turned to watch Arabella go upstairs, then withdrew his gaze.

He reached for a tissue and wiped the spot where Arabella had just kissed him.

Once Arabella went upstairs and entered the bedroom, she was going to grab her bathrobe when suddenly she realized that the safe was not closed.

She rushed over in shock to check and, after a glance, saw that nothing inside seemed to have been moved.

She had actually forgotten to close the safe!

Thinking back on Noah’s reaction just now, it was very normal, so he probably hadn’t discovered any secrets.

She placed the disc at the bottom of her jewelry box and closed the safe.

By the time Noah Quarter went from downstairs to the bedroom upstairs, Arabella had just come out of the shower.

She sat at the vanity table and applied cream to her face, and Noah walked over.

He opened an exquisite box.

He placed it on the vanity table.

Inside was a pair of rings.

Arabella looked up, covering her red lips with her hands, unbelievingly, "Noah."

Noah said indifferently and tenderly, "Arabella, thank you for the hard work, giving birth to a lovely daughter for me."

Arabella stood up and hugged him tightly, "I’ve been waiting a long time for these words."

She truly loved him; otherwise, she wouldn’t have orchestrated everything.

Noah’s gaze held a slight chill as he tenderly stroked Arabella’s long hair, "I’ll put the engagement ring on you first."

Arabella stepped back from his embrace and extended her right hand.

Her hand was well-maintained, soft, and fair.

Noah slipped the ring onto her middle finger.

And Arabella also picked up a ring and slid it onto the middle finger of his left hand.

She rose on tiptoes.

Lifting her head, her red lips landed on his jawline.

Noah turned her around, her back facing him.

He cast his eyes down, picking up a long silk scarf from the vanity table and covering Arabella’s eyes with it.

The silk scarf was knotted.

"Noah?" Arabella’s face flushed pink, and the intense heat from behind made her body soften.

Noah slowly curled with a hint of coldness.

The one thing he hated most in life was betrayal.

Arabella knelt on the ground; behind her, the man was cold and ruthless.

She didn’t know that at this moment, she looked like a dog.

With closed eyes, Noah thought of Julia Land, his thin lips pressed tightly together.

One day, he would take back what he wanted.

Today was a triumphant day for Arabella Shaw.

She felt elated touching the engagement ring on her right middle finger.

She went to the Noble Grid Hotel with Eliza Quarter, coming here mainly to book the venue and choose the dishes for the engagement banquet.

"Sister Arabella, I just looked at the venue design, it’s just like having an engagement in a castle."

It’s just an engagement, and it costs a lot of money.

But Noah Quarter was willing to spend.

Arabella smiled, "I think it’s beautiful as well."

Her gaze swept across the hall and spotted a woman in a red dress.

It was Julia Land.

Arabella was originally in a good mood, but at the sight of Julia, it soured slightly.

Bad luck.

However, Arabella thought about the scene in the pastry shop when Julia mocked her for having a child before getting married.

She now wanted to show off to Julia.

Julia Land secretly came to the Noble Grid Hotel to wait for James Thompson, idly playing with her phone games, her eyes languidly lowered.

"Julia Land."

Julia Land looked up and saw Arabella Shaw and Eliza Quarter walking towards her.

Julia Land: Hmph, bad luck!

Arabella Shaw stood in front of Julia Land, lifted her right hand, and displayed the ring on her middle finger.

"After a while, it’ll be my engagement party with Noah. You’re welcome to attend."

Julia Land shifted her gaze from Arabella Shaw’s finger and its ring, her lips curling upward.

"So, it’s Miss Shaw. Congratulations. I watched your show yesterday. Too bad, your singing was just a bit lacking in emotion. No wonder you’re not as popular as Austin Langston."

Arabella Shaw, "....." She was clearly talking about her engagement party!

Julia Land ignored Arabella’s momentary stiffness, slightly tilted her chin up, and looked towards the man entering from the doorway, "He, my man."

"If my man knew I attended your engagement party, he’d get jealous."

"If he gets jealous, I’d feel bad. It’s just an ex, after all. Why bother?"

Julia Land shot Arabella Shaw a glance.

Leo Thompson walked into the hotel and immediately saw Julia Land.

He slowly curved his lips into a smile.

He had asked her to dine with him after work, and she had lied, saying she was busy.

He didn’t expect she would be here waiting for him instead.

James Thompson walked over, without sparing Arabella Shaw and company a single glance.

He wrapped an arm around Julia Land’s shoulder, "I’m so hungry. Let’s go eat."

"Sure." Julia Land lifted her head and gave James Thompson a smile.

The man lowered his head and softly touched the woman’s forehead.

It was tender and affectionately coiling.

The two talked as if no one else was there, and left.

"Did she give you trouble?" James Thompson leaned close to Julia Land’s ear and asked.

"No," Julia Land laughed, "She invited me to attend her engagement party with Noah Quarter."

"He’s nuts," James Thompson raised an eyebrow and chuckled.

Julia Land also smiled, saying meaningfully, "That’s for sure."

Noah Quarter entered the hotel just in time to witness Julia Land and James Thompson chatting and laughing as they headed towards the elevator.

His expression was indifferent, but his eyes were dark.

Arabella Shaw saw Noah Quarter coming to pick her up, and she walked towards him sweetly.

Eliza Quarter also walked over, "Brother."

"Mhm," Noah Quarter asked casually, "What did you say to Julia Land and the others?"

Arabella Shaw cracked a smile, "I wanted to invite her to our engagement party, but she refused."

"I really like the design of the venue for this time. Invitations for the guests we want to honor have already been prepared."

Normally, one should discuss such matters with the mother-in-law, but Leah Thompson didn’t like Arabella Shaw and couldn’t be bothered with them.

Noah Quarter smiled faintly, "As long as you like it."

However, on his mind was the thought that Julia Land would look stunning in a red dress, radiantly and boldly beautiful.

The meal at the hotel was delivered directly to James Thompson’s suite.

"Little Pear, your man has been eating bitter gourd for quite a while now, maybe he doesn’t need to tonight?"

Mr. Thompson slightly lifted his chin, gesturing towards the plate of bitter gourd.

Julia Land hadn’t expected that he would keep up with his promise to eat bitter gourd.

Her heart felt sweet.

"You don’t have to continue eating bitter gourd."

She tilted her chin slightly upward, like an incredibly proud queen.

With a man willing to dote on her, she could afford to act spoiled.

Halfway through the meal, James Thompson suddenly asked her to house-hunting with him tomorrow, "To buy you the house you like for when we stay in Dunmore City."

He couldn’t always stay in Dunmore City; he would return to Capital City eventually and couldn’t possibly leave Little Pear here alone.

"Mhm, sure."

Since Julia Land had agreed to be with James Thompson, she wouldn’t be pretentious about it.

Tonight, the two of them were under the covers having a pure conversation.

Julia Land told James Thompson about Thomas Sullivan’s announcement, and her bright smiling face made Mr. Thompson feel a tinge of jealousy.

He pressed down on Julia Land and planted two kisses.

Julia Land poked his chest.

In the night, when she sleepily woke up, Julia Land rolled out of James Thompson’s arms.

The man extended his arm and pulled her back into his embrace.
