Chapter 87: Chapter 87: Tired?

Julia Land didn’t expect Mr. Thompson to take her to the beach.

"We’ll wait until tomorrow to see the sunrise."

He pitched a tent on the beach, and a lamp hung from the tent.

He also made a bonfire.

Julia Land propped up her chin, watching him bustling shirtless, less dignified and more carefree.

The sound of waves from afar occasionally rose.

Julia Land called Sophia Hart to say she wouldn’t be coming back tonight, and that girl, hearing she was with James Thompson, didn’t ask further.

"Sis Julia, have fun," Sophia Hart was still worried about how the stuff online might affect Julia Land.

"Okay." Julia Land hung up the phone.

James Thompson had just finished up, and he quickly went into the trailer to shower, before returning to Julia Land’s side.

Julia Land nestled herself in his embrace.

"What a pity, there’s no moon tonight, and no stars either," she sighed.

"Tired?" James Thompson gazed down at her, his fingers touching Julia’s face, feeling a bit cool, so he hugged her tightly, "If you’re tired, you can go to sleep, I’ll wake you when the sunrise starts."

"Not tired yet, just curious why you would bring me to the beach to watch the sunrise."

This style really didn’t seem like Mr. Thompson’s style.

Her lips curved slightly, smiling.

James Thompson laughed casually, "A suggestion from Assistant Winters."

Julia Land raised her eyebrows, "Does Assistant Winters have a girlfriend yet?"

"No."

Julia Land raised her head, bumping his chin, "Shall we go into the tent?"

"Mhm."

As Julia Land drifted hazily, she vaguely heard the slap of the waves outside.

She hugged James Thompson.

James Thompson stopped.

His hand swept away her hair, and with drooping eyes, he looked at her dazed and flushed eyes.

He remembered what his dad had said.

James Thompson scoffed inwardly, little Julia even if she went to Capital City, those people should be afraid of her, not the other way around.

"Tired?" He asked with a husky voice.

Julia Land breathed stubbornly, and said, "Mhm, okay, not very tired."

James Thompson sometimes really loved this stubborn side of her.

He fixed her up, wrapped her in a jacket, and carried her out of the tent to the trailer to shower.

Julia Land wanted him to put her down and walk by herself, but he didn’t bother.

The funny thing was, they both missed the sunrise.

Because in the later part of the night, it started to rain.

James Thompson, "...."

Julia Land unreservedly laughed at him.

While in the city, Assistant Winters got up to drink water in the middle of the night, and hearing the sound of rain outside, his body stiffened.

He went back to the bedside table, put on his glasses, and checked the weather report on his phone.

The forecast had predicted rain.

It wasn’t his fault; he himself was a single dog.

Abroad, Noah Quarter also found out about the news regarding Julia Land being harassed by an old man at ten years old.

He saw it because Leah Thompson sent him screenshots from the internet.

Leah Thompson felt ashamed, "I can’t even bring myself to go out now, look who you married before."

Noah had Alexander Strong contact the company’s PR department to get them to suppress the hot search about Julia Land.

Alexander Strong immediately made contact with the PR department, but it wasn’t long before he got the message from them.

He reported back to Noah, "BOSS, the news has already been taken down."

Noah thought of that man, James Thompson.

Arabella Shaw also thought of James Thompson.

She got up early in the morning and found out that the hot search she paid for about Julia Land had already been taken down.

In the dance studio.

Arabella Shaw stopped dancing and picked up her phone to search for the news about Julia Land being harassed at ten, indeed, it was all gone.

She smiled as though it were nothing.

Sister Wilson speechless, "You can still laugh?"

Arabella Shaw set down her phone and looked up, "It’s deleted, so what? But many people have seen it, and memories can’t be deleted."

Sister Wilson thought about it and nodded, "You’re right about that. But I didn’t expect Julia to be capable of such a thing. Maybe you should stop targeting her from now on."

Sister Wilson was no fool.

It’s not possible for the news to be taken down without reason.

Arabella Shaw scoffed, "Don’t worry, she won’t be pleased for long."

She didn’t believe the Thompson Family, such a big household, would agree to Julia entering their doors.

In that Mr. Thompson’s heart, Julia is probably just a plaything.

He’s still doting on her for now.

Sister Wilson pondered for a moment, hesitant about whether to tell Arabella Shaw something.

"Sister Wilson, is there something else?" Arabella Shaw asked confusedly.

"I’ll tell you, but keep your cool," Sister Wilson paused and then said, "I have a friend working in the PR department at the Quarter Family, she said Secretary Strong had contacted the PR department to have them take down the hot search about Julia Land."

This revelation was like a shock to Arabella Shaw.

Her plan had been going so well, almost successful, and then deviations occurred.

All because Julia Land was still alive.

"Did Director Quarter mention anything about marriage to you?" Sister Wilson couldn’t help but remind Arabella Shaw to hurry.

She had been with Arabella Shaw for so long, she knew some things.

Arabella Shaw was also annoyed, "We were about to go get our marriage certificate last time, but because of Julia’s issue, we didn’t go. How could she not have died that time."

She knew with Julia still around, there would always be uncertainties.

Sister Wilson hurriedly urged her not to talk nonsense, "Don’t say things like that again, even though no one can hear us now."

Arabella Shaw felt quite annoyed and planned to bring up marriage as soon as Noah Quarter returned from his business trip.

She inquired about another matter, "Is there another matter, regarding Autumn Knowles?"

"It will take some time to arrange."

Now, Austin Langston’s popularity had already overtaken Arabella Shaw’s.

She had been on another show "My Voice" the day before yesterday.

Because Austin’s popularity was higher than hers, not only did the production team arrange a better performance sequence for him, but his signing fee was also higher than hers.

Such a gap was very frustrating.

Arabella Shaw was now harboring a bit of anger.

Julia Land hurried to work today, greeting colleagues with nods as usual.

Colleagues looked at Julia Land, stepping firmly in her high heels.

Suddenly, they felt admiration.

If they were in her situation, they might not want to come to work today out of pride.

"If it were me, I would be too ashamed to come to work."

That comment was somewhat mocking.

Not everyone in the company was nice.

A few people gathered to discuss Julia Land’s affair.

In the office.

Thomas Sullivan looked up; he saw Julia Land, who was bringing in coffee, and he put down his phone, pretending to open a file.

"The file is upside down." Julia Land kindly reminded him.

Thomas Sullivan coughed lightly, turning the file over, "I’m really sorry about yesterday, I didn’t expect Little Chloe to bring Miss Langston up here."

He would know more or less about what happened in the company after the fact.

Julia Land smiled, "It’s not your fault, why apologize? Besides, what Miss Sullivan said was right."

"Bringing family issues into the company really looks bad, she did the right thing to bring her up, please thank Miss Sullivan for me."

The last part was a bit barbed.

Thomas Sullivan barely tugged at his collar, a bit agitated, "I’ll have her apologize to you."
