Chapter 91: Kissing Dina
Chapter 91: Kissing Dina
Gon smirked, tilting his head slightly.
"What if I did?" he replied, his tone just as teasing as hers.
Dina didn’t say anything in response. Instead, she simply lifted what was left of her apple and pressed it against Gon’s mouth, her expression unreadable.
Gon blinked
in surprise, caught off guard by the gesture. He glanced at her, expecting some kind of explanation, but she just watched him, waiting.
A slow smile spread across his face, his eyes crinkling with amusement. Without breaking eye contact, he leaned in slightly and bit into the apple, chewing as a quiet chuckle escaped him.
"Delicious," Gon said as he chewed and swallowed, the hint of a smirk still lingering on his face.
Dina raised an eyebrow, clearly pleased with herself. "Yeah," she replied casually, twirling the apple core between her fingers. "Want more?"
Gon nodded without hesitation. "Why not?"
Without saying a word, Dina took another bite of the apple, but this time, she didn’t chew.
Instead, she stepped closer, tilting her head up as she leaned toward Gon.
For a moment, he just looked at her, his breath hitching slightly as he realized what she was implying.
There was a flicker of hesitation in Gon’s movements, but only for a second.
Then, slowly, he bent down, his lips brushing against the apple first, then just barely grazing hers as he took the bite from her mouth.
The contact was fleeting, barely more than a whisper, but it sent a warmth through him that had nothing to do with the apple.
His heart beat just a little faster as he straightened, chewing slowly, his eyes locked onto hers.
"This one was more delicious," Gon said as he chewed and swallowed, his gaze still fixed on her.
Dina nodded slowly, a small, knowing smile tugging at her lips. "I agree," she murmured, her voice softer now, almost thoughtful.
For a moment, neither of them said anything.
The playful teasing from earlier had shifted into something else, something unspoken but lingering in the air between them.
Dina tilted her head slightly, watching him with that same amused glint in her eyes, but there was something else there now too, something warmer.
Then, wordlessly, the two of them moved closer, the space between them disappearing entirely.
Their lips met in a short, fleeting kiss, gentle, testing, as if confirming that neither of them had imagined the tension lingering between them.
But neither pulled away.
A beat passed, and then the second kiss came, longer, deeper, more passionate.
Dina let out a soft, satisfied purr as they slowly pulled away from each other. Her eyes, half-lidded with warmth and excitement, lingered on Gon’s face.
A playful smile tugged at the corners of her lips, and she let out a breathy chuckle, her fingers still resting lightly against his chest.
"I’ve been wanting to do that for a while now," she murmured, her voice smooth and rich, like honey dripping from a spoon.
Gon swallowed, his heart still beating fast from the kiss. His cheeks felt warm, and a sly smile crept onto his face.
"Me too," he admitted, his voice quieter than before, as if speaking too loudly might break the moment.
The night air felt cooler now, making him aware of just how close they had been.
They kissed again, slower this time, as if savoring every second.
Gon felt his heart pounding in his chest, his whole body alive with warmth.
His hands, driven by instinct and the deep pull of the moment, began to move down her back, tracing the curve of her waist.
His fingers slid lower, exploring, wanting more.
But before he could go any further, Dina’s hand caught his wrist, stopping him with a firm yet playful grip.
She pulled back just enough to meet his gaze, her eyes glinting with mischief. A knowing smirk curled on her lips, her breath still mingling with his.
"You can’t have me that easily, Gon," she teased, her voice smooth and full of challenge.
Dina gave him one last teasing glance before turning on her heel, her steps slow and deliberate.
The moonlight caught the sway of her hips as she walked away, her confidence making the moment feel even more surreal.
Gon stood frozen, his hands still tingling from where they had touched her. His heart pounded, his mind struggling to catch up with what had just happened.
His mouth was slightly open, his wide eyes locked on her retreating figure.
He looked completely dazed, as if someone had just cast a spell on him.
Dina chuckled without looking back. She knew exactly what effect she had on him.
Gon barely managed to blink, still standing there like a statue.
Only after she disappeared from sight did he let out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding.
He ran a hand through his hair, exhaling again with a shaky chuckle.
"Well... damn," he muttered to himself, still staring in the direction she had gone.
"Tough luck," Milo’s voice came from behind him, casual and laced with amusement.
Gon’s body reacted before his mind fully processed the words.
In a heartbeat, he spun around, his muscles tensing as he dropped into a battle-ready stance.
His fists clenched, and his sharp eyes locked onto Milo, instincts screaming at him to be prepared for anything.
Milo stood there with his arms crossed, leaning slightly against a nearby tree, a smirk playing on his lips.
The moonlight cast shadows over his face, making his expression even more unreadable.
"Relax, Gon," Milo said with a chuckle, shaking his head. "I’m not here to fight."
"I’m not here to fight," Milo repeated, pushing himself off the tree. "Saving it for the big fight tomorrow."
Gon studied him for a moment, searching for any signs of deception.
When he found none, he exhaled and let his stance relax, though not completely.
His instincts told him to stay on guard, Milo was unpredictable, and Gon had already been caught off guard once tonight.
"Right," Gon muttered, rolling his shoulders to shake off the tension.
But his eyes stayed locked on Milo, watching for any twitchy movements, any sign that he might strike despite his words.
