He coughed, gathering himself, "Tsk!" He exclaimed, "Stupid technique... I’ll conquer you eventually."

He put away the sutra, beginning to cultivate with his usual Shadow Flock Cultivation Technique.

As soon as he activated it, the room he was in was littered with shadow crows.

Two summoned on each shoulder, and six more were scattered on top of different surfaces across the room.

It was an awesome sight, to be frank. There was one more crow, a hollow crow, which was the next work in progress.

All 11 of them quickly flapped their wings and soared away, getting to work.

The Aura around the area had no chance, being grabbed by the bunches by talons and beaks before being thrust right into Tyr’s core.

The more Tyr had used these crows to cultivate, the more he realized that the process these birds used to gather Aura looked familiar.

It resembled the act all birds are born to inherently understand, and that act is to build a home for their offspring.

Going out and scavenging not only food, but also materials to build their nest slowly but surely.

Choosing only the best materials, and carefully maximizing distance for size, they were masters when it came to productivity.

’No wonder the creator of this technique used crows...’ Tyr thought to himself.

Cultivation techniques used many different methods to get Aura, but matching something’s nature of ’retrieval’ and ’scavenging’ was certainly genius, since it would be great at getting Aura as well once modified to do so via Aura Arrays.

As time passed on, Tyr saw the metaphorical nest within his body, his Aura Core, become more and more full as more Aura filled up in the core.

The new layer was almost done building. Before long, the final piece of Aura was absorbed through Tyr’s meridian within his right arm.

Time seemed to slow slightly as Tyr observed the piece of Aura move through his arm.

’How long has it been since I have Ranked up through cultivation alone? From what I can remember... it has never happened.’

The piece of Aura fell into the massive container of Aura, which was the core.

There was no more space left, the core was packed to the brim. Not even a second later, a crack split down the center of the core, slightly worrying Tyr.

However, at that moment, all of the Aura absorbed into the broken layer.

The new layer forming process began. The pace felt extremely quick, yet it was going to take several seconds.

Tyr’s eyes tightened with the intensity he was currently feeling.

It was like magma was boiling within his abdomen.

Sweat began to ooze out of every crevice within his body. Beads forming around his lips, forehead, and every other surface.

Despite that, this feeling was also unbelievably rejuvenating.

The process of a new layer forming let out waves of heat that traveled through Tyr’s entire body through his meridians.

Wherever it landed, that body part, whether it be bone, flesh, tendon, muscle, or organ, felt like it was melted before being reforged anew--far superior to what it was before.

Finally, the new layer finished forming with a blast of Aura that traveled through Tyr’s body like electricity.

It was exhilarating and powerful, making the hairs on his arm stand erect. His eyes flew open, his body throbbing with life.

He felt his muscles expand and tighten, become more dense with power and energy.

His ligaments and tendons felt loose, as if they couldn’t crack even if Tyr wanted them to.

His entire body felt as loose as water, yet powerful, and solid as iron at the same time.

He was born anew.

Tyr’s eyes widened, "Holy..." He muttered.

A smile stretched across Tyr’s face, his eyes refusing to blink, "Hah..." His breath began to become a bit more rapid as he stood up.

"Haha...hahaha!" He broke out into a small laugh, "That’s even more powerful than what I could have imagined."

He was ecstatic to try it out immediately, but before that, he had some stats to input.

As Tyr opened up his status menu, he was shaking with excitement. The feeling of having new power, new spells, new levels, new stats... it filled him with overwhelming pleasure and ecstasy.

He was obsessed with gaining power.

’All... above 200.’ Tyr’s eyes widened even more as he saw this. He was giddy with excitement, as though he was being tickled.

He sighed, "Next Rank... I want to reach the next Rank." He said at that moment before pausing.

Finally, Tyr noticed the room around him. It was completely moist, burning hot, and filled with a thick steam. It was like a powerful sauna at that moment, which Tyr hadn’t picked up on this entire time.

He walked out of the chamber. A loud hiss of smoke exited the room, echoing throughout the massive room he was in.

’I need to take a shower...’ He began to make his way to his room.

Crimson currently sat inside of a large Aura Cove underground, Kepl meditating only a few feet away from him.

The gray-haired young man’s eyes abruptly opened, "Virtuoso... that was his Rank, right?"

Kepl glanced at him, "Yes. He is two entire successful breakthroughs behind you, since you are at the Sage Rank as of now."

Crimson snickered, "Damn it... this anticipation is killing me."

"Don’t worry... the fight will begin before you know it. The entire peak, and even those of other branches who have the ability to come here have already arrived. All that’s left now is for the two main events to show up."

Crimson grinned before standing, "Let’s go and give them what they want."
