Chapter 437: Chapter 467, An Army (5th Update)

Within the darkness of night, isolated flames sparked by explosions dot the ground.

The night sky and the fiery light reflected off Fang Yi’s face.

When Fang Yi emerged, Zhou Haotian was shocked, and along with him, Wang Ting was so stunned it was as if she had seen a ghost, unable to believe what was before her.

"You, you, you..." Wang Ting was enormously disheveled, a stark contrast to her previous glamor, staring at Fang Yi with wide eyes, "Why is it you?!"

Fang Yi observed both of their expressions, smiled faintly, and said, "Why can’t it be me?"

Wang Ting exclaimed in shock, "How could you possibly be here? Did you follow us?!"

Fang Yi chuckled, his lips curling into a mocking smile, and said, "You think too highly of yourself. Do I need to follow you? However, I am surprised. How come the two of you are here?"

Wang Ting turned her head to glance at the body of her comrade, fell silent, and her face bore a look of sorrow.

Fang Yi naturally noticed this and, to be honest, he didn’t harbor much resentment towards Zhou Haotian and Wang Ting—it was just some unpleasant exchanges at the Dragon Team’s headquarters. Fang Yi was not narrow-minded enough to consider murder.

Seeing the woeful states of Zhou Haotian and Wang Ting, Fang Yi did not take delight in their misfortune; instead, he sighed and said, "Condolences."

On hearing this, Wang Ting felt a surge of sadness.

Zhou Haotian tried to remain strong; he lifted his head and stared at Fang Yi, asking, "What are you doing here?"

Fang Yi replied, "The same as you."

"You also came to rescue the hostages?" Zhou Haotian said gravely, "But there are too many enemies here, at least a couple hundred, and Suotun’s son is here too; the firepower is too fierce. I advise you not to overextend yourself."

Fang Yi smiled slightly, responding, "Is that so? I don’t think that way."

Just then, a man rushed to Fang Yi’s side and said, "Dragon Master, twenty enemies to the left have been annihilated."

Then a few more men ran over, all talking at once, "Thirty enemies in front have been crushed."

"The enemies on the right have been dealt with!"

"We’re now getting ready to attack the center of the camp, please instruct, Dragon Master!"

These were members of Dragon Soul, and the training Yao Bo had provided was very successful; even Fang Yi hadn’t anticipated the strong combat capability of the current Dragon Soul members.

Meanwhile, Zhou Haotian and Wang Ting were once again astonished, exchanging glances and seeing the shock in each other’s eyes.

"Dragon Master, what is this? Who are these people, and how can they be stronger than our Dragon Team’s fighters?" Wang Ting muttered, her face filled with shock and confusion, eager to know the answer.

But Zhou Haotian couldn’t provide an answer because even he didn’t know.

"Alright, disperse, and keep pushing forward!" Fang Yi ordered.

Thus, several dozen Dragon Soul members withdrew and, spirited and eager, resumed fighting.

Amidst the booming gunfire, Fang Yi lit a cigarette, looked towards Zhou Haotian, and said, "I don’t hold grudges for old grievances; let’s consider past conflicts resolved. If you want to seek revenge for your brothers, I welcome it. If you want to leave, I won’t stop you."

If it had been before, even before all these events, Zhou Haotian would have certainly cursed back, but now, he no longer had the boldness, having been profoundly intimidated by Fang Yi’s fearsome presence.

Hearing Fang Yi’s subsequent words, Zhou Haotian was visibly moved, slowly standing up, and fixedly looked at Fang Yi, saying, "I owe you a life."

"Then what?"

"Yes! I, Zhou Haotian, may be somewhat petty, but I am not a coward! I must avenge my brothers, and I will not shrink from death to do so!"

Suddenly, Zhou Haotian bent down, picked up a rifle, and hoisted it on his shoulder.

Fang Yi gave him a full look from head to toe and without saying anything, turned away.

Zhou Haotian took a deep breath, gripping the rifle and was about to rush out when suddenly, Wang Ting pulled him back, meeting his gaze, her eyes resolute, "I share in the revenge for our brothers too!"

Zhou Haotian clenched his teeth and said, "Alright, then let’s do this!"

Simultaneously, deep in the camp, Suotun’s complexion was deathly pale.

Beyond just the paleness, Suotun’s expression was as if he had seen a ghost; of course, this compelled him to think he really had seen one.

The situation had been overwhelmingly in his favor, the advantage on his side, but who could have guessed that just a few minutes ago, the situation suddenly shifted? Out of nowhere, an army appeared, overturning the promising outlook he had!

Yes, Suotun thought it must be an army—what else could possess such formidable fighting strength?

Could it be his boss’s rival warlords or his boss’s narcotics enemies? Suotun couldn’t know, but what he did know was that he had to get his young master to escape.

So, Suotun ignored everything else and rushed into the house, where he immediately saw the young master.

The young man immediately got angry and striding toward Suotun, slapped him across the face, "Who the fuck let you disturb me?! Huh? Do you want to die?"

Suotun internally lamented greatly, speaking hastily, "No... it’s not good... someone is quickly storming in here."

The young man’s expression drastically changed, "What?! How many people?"

Suotun replied with a pained expression, "An... an army."

The color drained from the young man’s face.

Just then, as intense footsteps sounded outside the room where Suotun and the young man were, the young man suddenly grew fierce, a surge of rage in his heart, and he roared, "These damn Xuan Cang people! Even if I die, I’ll take them down to Hell with me!"

Without even putting on his clothes or pants, the young man grabbed a hand grenade, preparing to charge out.

Yet before the young man could rush out, a burly figure brashly barged in, and before the young man could pull the pin, this mountain-like indivdual, Yao Bo, pinned the young man to the ground like a small mountain, causing the grenade to roll away.

"Jibber jabber, what the hell are you rambling about, as if I can’t understand your bird talk, shit!" Yao Bo, mountain-like, lifted a foot and stepped on the young man’s face.

Upon seeing this, Suotun was utterly shocked, grabbed a gun ready to fight, just then, another person came into the room and shot Suotun’s gun-holding hand, blasting a bloody hole, causing Suotun to let out a pig-like scream of agony.

Fang Yi blew a breath, waved his hand to signal Yao Bo to step aside.

And then, just as the young man had relaxed for a moment, Fang Yi stepped on his groin, sneering, "Are you Suotun’s son?"
