Chapter 393: Chapter 419, Do you like Xiaofang?

Yes, Kong Lingxuan was finished.

The briefcase contained all of Kong Lingxuan’s weaknesses.

Kong Lingxuan had just declared that no one had any leverage over him, yet in the blink of an eye, that very leverage was delivered to him, clearly itemized and accompanied by photos of his secret rendezvous with Jiang Lili—enough to crush him thoroughly, irreversibly.

Kong Linghai quietly moved beside Kong Lingxuan and was shocked when he saw the contents; those were the things not even the Hundred Immortals Sect could procure. How did Fang Yi manage to get them?!

Kong Linghai looked at Fang Yi in shock; this young man, whom he had met only a few times, held immense power.

It wasn’t just Kong Linghai who was shocked; Kong Qingci was as well. Fang Yi had remained silent all this while, and Kong Qingci had thought he had nothing to say or do. Unexpectedly, he had pulled the rug out from under Kong Lingxuan with a harsh slap.

Kong Qingci knew in her heart that her fourth uncle would never be able to recover.

And Kong Mingkai, who had been previously shouting defiantly, was now chilled to the bone. Seeing his father’s pale face and the expressions of others, he could clearly see that his father was done for.

Finished!

Truly finished this time.

Kong Linghai, looking at the ashen faced Kong Lingxuan, said, "Fourth brother, come with me to the Hundred Immortals Sect."

Kong Lingxuan suddenly laughed, his laughter desolate, filled with both resentment and frustration. Finally, he turned to Fang Yi, his look resentful yet helpless.

"Hate, anger, I, Kong Lingxuan, never expected to fall into the hands of a nobody like you, haha... hahaha..."

In the end, Kong Lingxuan laughed out loud, his laughter filled with chilling isolation.

Fang Yi, expressionless, simply remarked, "Step back, and you find boundless possibilities. It’s a pity you didn’t take that step. This world operates on the survival of the fittest, doesn’t it?"

Kong Lingxuan sighed, "Yes, yes..."

The top leader of Southern Domain City had fallen; who could have imagined?

Eventually, Kong Lingxuan left with Kong Linghai, and as they departed, Kong Linghai cast a meaningful look at Fang Yi, pulled Kong Qingci aside, and whispered, "This young man is inscrutable; be cautious around him."

Kong Linghai was afraid that his niece would be trapped by Fang Yi, but what he didn’t know was that his niece had already established a firm relationship with Fang Yi.

During dinner time, Xu He’s mother prepared a large feast, even slaughtering a large rooster and a duck, while Xu He’s grandfather brought out a cherished vintage. They sat around a large round table and began their evening meal.

Although it was Kong Qingci’s first time here, she did not act shy or coy; instead, she was poised and graceful, charming Xu He’s relatives with proper toasts and compliments, showcasing her adept social skills.

Kong Qingci sat next to Xu He; having endeared Xu He’s parents and grandparents to her, she turned to Xu He, raised her glass, and smiled, "Miss Xu He, I have long admired your reputation, and your songs are very pleasing."

Xu He raised an eyebrow slightly and asked, "Really? Then tell me, which of my songs do you find the most appealing?"

Kong Qingci was slightly taken aback, not expecting Xu He to take her so seriously.

In fact, Kong Qingci wasn’t interested in the entertainment industry; her focus was solely on her business ventures, dedicating all her energy and attention to them. Hearing Xu He’s counter question, she found herself at a loss for an answer and sensed an accusatory tone in Xu He’s voice.

As astute as she was, Kong Qingci noticed this. Seeing Xu He’s expression, it was indeed slightly confrontational.

Kong Qingci couldn’t help but laugh in her heart, but she really didn’t know how to respond. Seeing this, Xu He suddenly raised her glass and downed half a goblet of liquor in one gulp, to the surprise of Xu’s father and the others.

What was going on today? Why was Xu He angry?

"It seems Miss Kong hasn’t listened to my song. You were fooling me," Xu He said.

"I’m sorry. This liquor is so strong; I feel a bit dizzy. Let’s talk about this some other time," Kong Qingci replied, trying to evade the subject.

"Miss Kong, you really can’t hold your liquor," Xu He persisted relentlessly.

"Yes, my tolerance is indeed terrible," Kong Qingci responded with a warm smile.

"If you can’t hold your liquor, then why did you even come to the table?" Xu He continued relentlessly.

Fang Yi, who had been focusing on his meal, sensed the awkwardness between the two women. He wasn’t a fool; he could definitely sense it, especially Xu He’s relentless badgering, treating Kong Qingci as if she were an enemy and seemingly ready to battle her.

Fang Yi felt somewhat headache. At that moment, Kong Qingci, with her hand on her forehead, her eyes groggy, started to lean backward. Fang Yi, sitting next to her, quickly reached out to wrap his arms around Kong Qingci’s delicate waist and embraced her in his arms.

Then Fang Yi picked Kong Qingci up and chuckled, "Looks like she indeed sat, Aunt, is there any bed available?"

"Of course, there is. Come with me," Xu’s mother said.

Fang Yi nodded and followed Xu’s mother to a bedroom. Once there, Fang Yi brought Kong Qingci into the room while Xu’s mother went downstairs.

Fang Yi then laid Kong Qingci on the bed, covered her with a blanket, and was about to leave when Kong Qingci suddenly opened her eyes and grabbed Fang Yi’s wrist.

Fang Yi wasn’t surprised by Kong Qingci’s feigned drunkenness and sat down beside the bed.

"That Xu He girl has quite the temper, huh," Kong Qingci said meaningfully.

"She’s a really nice person, kind and innocent. You’ll see once you get to know her better," Fang Yi replied with a smile.

"From the look of it, you seem quite fond of her, don’t you?"

"Of course, she’s a beauty. Naturally, I like her," Fang Yi frankly admitted.

Kong Qingci’s eyes widened in an instant, her lips pouted in a cute manner as she said a bit angrily, "Wow, so you’re a real philanderer, looking at you I really blinded my eyes."

Fang Yi reached out to wrap his arm around her waist and made a move to kiss her, but she suddenly turned her head, causing Fang Yi to kiss the air. Fang Yi couldn’t help but laugh wryly, "You’re not jealous, are you?"

"Yes, I am jealous. I’m really mad now; you have to think of a way to make it up to me," Kong Qingci stated.

A mischievous smile appeared on Fang Yi’s face, his gaze landing on Kong Qingci’s chest, "Alright, I will definitely make it up to you well."

That said, Fang Yi lowered his head towards her, causing a frightened Kong Qingci to shrink back, dodging his advances.

In the main hall, having finished his meal, Mr. Xu went to the yard to smoke a leaf cigar. At the dining table, Xu’s mother nudged Xu’s father with her shoulder and gave him a meaningful glance. Xu’s father, caught between laughter and tears, turned to a rather sulky Xu He and said, "Hehe, dad wants to ask you something. You answer honestly, okay?"

Xu he paused her chopsticks and asked, "What is it?"

Xu’s father hesitated for a moment before asking, "Do you like Fang Yi?"
