Global Lord: My Undead Can Undergo Fission -
Chapter 634: Determining the Future Path
Chapter 634: Chapter 634: Determining the Future Path
Fang Jie had not expected the opponent to be so stubborn. Yet, the fact that they could muster so many gold troops in such a short period also showed that their development was indeed impressive, at least in their own plane.
With resources and strength, once the territory was fully developed, all enemies would seem like paper tigers.
From this perspective, it appeared the natives on the opposing side must have been severely suppressed, at least they couldn’t be completely annihilated. And it was probable that the demigods on that side had not taken action, or maybe there were no demigods at all.
Otherwise, they would never have allowed their enemy to be so arrogant.
Didn’t they see that he had so many demigods under his command, who didn’t dare to mess around in their own plane?
Fang Jie could not believe that they could possess demigods in such a short period of time. His own rapid development was partly due to his really good luck, and on the other hand, his talent was truly strong.
Fang Jie didn’t deny that there were others with such luck and talent, but it was really not easy to develop as quickly.
Well, let it be for now. Fang Jie simply built an affiliated territory on this spot and then began to accumulate forces nearby. This place was special, so building an affiliated territory here was not an inconceivable matter.
He replaced the proxy lord with someone from another place.
Since all the territories were nominally his own, nobody had the right to object if he wanted to reorganize this place. If any fool dared to oppose him, he would just eliminate them directly.
This action fully demonstrated the effectiveness of Fang Jie’s previous arrangements.
For others who acted with the methods of lords, it would not have been so easy to compromise others when their interests were directly affected. Even if one lord compromised, other lords would not agree.
While developing the area and engaging in offense and defense with the opposing side, Fang Jie shifted his other focus onto himself.
His origin power was already abundant; all he had to do was keep improving himself methodically.
While advancing, Fang Jie also began contemplating his future path.
Originally, Fang Jie had planned to follow the same path as the Black Lotus Supreme, his immediate superior, but he later realized due to an understanding of compatibility issues, this might not be the best approach.
The top gods might overlap in some areas, but none had an absolute overlap.
Perhaps those with too high of an overlap were natural enemies.
Or, they could devour each other to enhance their own strength. So, in the end, Fang Jie thought it over and decided to abandon this direction. He did not know how many Talent Laws the Black Lotus Supreme inherently had, but some directions could be added later.
For example, after becoming a god, one could gain a comprehensive understanding of other systems’ laws.
Fang Jie was not sure about the specifics, but he knew that many deities did not have just one type of Talent Law.
For example, the Cloud God combined aspects of Death, Darkness, and some water attribute. The Black Lotus Venerable Sage had aspects of Death, Darkness, Soul, and so forth – the specifics of which Fang Jie was not clear.
The reason he knew this was because of his Black Lotus Meditation Technique.
This Meditation Technique was a perfect fit for these three aspects. If they were all the same, Fang Jie wasn’t sure if there would be any issues, but just in case, it was better to keep them separate.
He had four directions, and already had the White Bone Direction, which Fang Jie did not want to discard.
The cost of discarding it was too high. Since it also fitted him well, he decided to keep it.
Then the other directions, Death and Soul, were something Fang Jie did not want to give up. As part of the Undead System, they were a good fit with Death and Soul—similarly with Darkness.
However, with regards to Talent Laws, typically one would choose one, and some people did not even have a choice.
Death was his fundamental system, while Soul was something he excelled at, and Fang Jie believed this direction was very powerful and important. So, that left just one system.
"Wait, all these Seeds are inherent, so there’s no need for great strength to suppress them. Even if there is a direction completely different from me, they could still merge perfectly."
Fang Jie’s eyes lit up, "Completely different or even conflicting directions have high compatibility with me, but not so much with others. Such unique Divine Fragments, I suppose no one else can merge them."
The reason Fang Jie wanted to cultivate many innate Talent Laws was to reduce compatibility with others.
Only by doing so could he avoid direct scheming by the gods.
He did not know if the deities actually intended to scheme against him, but this way was certainly secure.
"So, Life, the opposite of Death, is quite suitable. The Lord of Reincarnation also fits these two, but definitely not the White Bone Direction. Adding this direction would differentiate me from those top deities."
With the main direction set apart, there was even less concern about the minor details. Therefore, Fang Jie decided, next, to learn and evolve some Life magic.
It was a pity that until reaching that level, without a Law Seed, it was really not easy to learn Life Magic.
He was a Death Messenger by Profession, which was completely opposite of Life.
Moreover, he did not have many spells of that aspect in his possession; the elves had relatively more materials on that. Fang Jie had no choice but to have the materials brought to him, then assembled a group of strong spell researchers for study.
These researchers had accumulated a wealth of knowledge over the years.
They were truly experienced in spell research, and some had even become Hero Units.
Qin Lan had no idea what Fang Jie was up to. At this level of cultivation, Fang Jie could only walk the path that suited him, and it was virtually impossible for others to meddle.
Thus, the battle with the opposition was largely left to Qin Lan and the Undead think tank under Fang Jie’s command.
Fang Jie himself plunged into research, studying bit by bit. As winter passed, Fang Jie was finally able to cast a Healing Magic. This was a pure Life attribute spell.
"Good thing I am a human and not an Undead, or learning this kind of Life type magic would have been almost impossible," Fang Jie said after casting the spell, feeling a slight tremor in the Magic Power within his body.
It was a conflict, an instinct that could not be subdued even by Fang Jie’s strength.
Next, Fang Jie had to keep adapting. Only after becoming accustomed to an entire stage could he continue to learn the next stage of Life System Magic – a process far more complicated than other systems. For this reason, Fang Jie halted the evolution of other spells.
