Chapter 587: Chapter 587: Found a Battle Sacred Land, Hurry Over

Fang Jie’s cultivation of a large number of Undead Creatures was meant for combat and to be dispatched for reconnaissance outside.

However, as their numbers grew, these beings inevitably began to spread out. And since they were moving bones, they stood out in this world where Undead were present but not ubiquitous.

Fierce Beastmen would never develop something like an Undead Mage; in fact, they hadn’t even seen a Mage among them.

They held in high esteem their own Combat Power, believing all other external forces to be contemptible.

Thus, in the world of these Fighting Maniacs, only occasionally, due to an abundance of Death Aura in certain areas, would some Low-level Undead emerge. But as soon as they appeared, they were challenged and destroyed by these Combat Fanatics.

This time, the appearance of Undead Creatures in the forest naturally caught the attention of these battle-hungry warriors.

A Hunter moved through the forest and first noticed that the game seemed to have decreased significantly.

So the Beastman Hunter ventured deeper into the forest and, at last, saw a group of Skull Soldiers attacking a boar-shaped Magic Beast. "Great, so these things have appeared again."

The Hunter didn’t ponder why so many of these creatures had suddenly emerged, or the fact that they cooperated with each other instead of fighting. Nor did he consider why, after killing their prey, they dragged it in a certain direction.

To him, these beings were simply perfect adversaries.

Because every time they faced Undead Creatures, they fought with all their might, never retreating.

Such opponents were much better than any others. Beastmen who relished battle and slaughter enjoyed that fine line between life and death, and even if it led to their own demise, they would consider it worthwhile.

However, due to the need for a certain population size, non-mortal combat was generally not permitted.

Now, they could finally engage in a full-fledged battle.

The Hunter put down his bow and arrows, drew his knife, and with a loud shout, charged forward.

The Undead were momentarily stunned, never expecting someone to attack them proactively. The Low-level Undead, lacking much intelligence, then turned to attack this interloper.

These Skull Soldiers were all created by Fang Jie. Due to the level of the Corpse, not all of Fang Jie’s summoned Undead were at the silver level; the lowest had fallen a notch to bronze.

These were the ones that ran errands on the outermost edges while also relaying some intelligence.

The charging Fierce Beastman was also of the bronze level, but possessed exceptionally high Combat Talent. Using the forest’s terrain, he shifted locations constantly, wearing the Skull Soldiers ragged.

Although hitting a tree a few times could chop it down, the Beastman was not just evading during this process.

After a few minutes, only two Skull Soldiers remained.

The Beastman howled with excitement and then charged head-on, clashing directly with the two Skull Soldiers. Eventually, he succeeded in vanquishing the pair at the cost of two new wounds on his body.

"That was exhilarating; I haven’t had such a thrilling fight in ages."

The Beastman’s eyes reddened slightly, forgetting his original intent to hunt. The insatiable Beastman continued deeper into the forest, but it wasn’t long before he was forced to retreat.

"What is this? There are even more than before, and some are a level higher than me. What do I do now?"

Beastmen cherished battles, not death. Clearly outmatched, even a Beastman as wild as he wouldn’t rush to his doom.

As for what the multitude of Undead signified, that wasn’t his concern.

"No, such a splendid battlefield can’t be wasted. If I can’t handle it alone, then let’s get the whole village involved."

Desiring a gratifying battle, the Beastman resolved to bring along the entire village. Although this territory was not his alone, he was still part of it.

Thus, the Beastman tidied up and returned to the village to share the news with the others.

At first, the villagers were skeptical, but once they verified the situation for themselves, everyone was electrified by the prospect of combat.

Being Beastmen themselves, they wouldn’t miss out on such a perfect battle setting.

So, the villagers began entering the forest en masse, seeking out the Undead to fight. But in such a remote village, few had reached the silver level, and as more and more Undead appeared, they grew concerned.

"How are there flying ones too? If it weren’t for my quick escape, I would’ve been done for."

While they said this, the excitement and joy on their faces were unmistakable.

"We won’t be able to keep this up. What should we do?"

The initial Beastman thought for a moment, then said, "Let’s get people from the other surrounding villages involved." Without hesitation, he chose the solution he had thought up before.

But this time, he expanded the scope, extending the invitation from one village to many.

Others agreed, so they spread the word. With this communication, the news could no longer be hidden. Since too many people were informed, the activity quickly drew even more attention.

Soon, people from nearby towns also received the news.

Those who had been dueling in the towns grabbed their weapons and entered the forest.

Gradually, they discovered that this special region was vast, housing far more Undead Creatures than they had imagined. To engage in better combat and to prevent being overwhelmed by too many Undead, they sent word to the local garrison.

The garrison was informed, and word of the situation reached more military forces.

Eventually, even the people in the nearby cities were made aware.

In the Beastman World, only those of Legendary status were qualified to establish a city.

Even if one were to inherit a previous city, without reaching the Golden Peak, without at least a dozen Gold-level subordinates, it was out of the question. And there happened to be a Legendary Level Fierce Beastman in this very city.

"How have so many Undead Creatures appeared? What exactly has happened? Could it be that a very powerful Undead Creature has emerged, creating so many?" mused the City Lord.

"No, I can’t let anyone get there before me."

The City Lord suddenly rose and sprinted towards that direction. His thoughts weren’t on solving the situation, but rather on finding a powerful adversary. At their level, the opportunity for a joyous battle was exceedingly rare.
