Global Lord: My Undead Can Undergo Fission -
Chapter 465 Digesting the Spoils of War
Chapter 465: Chapter 465 Digesting the Spoils of War
After finally calming down the little flower demon Lu Lu, Fang Jie let the two freshly returned little foxes, Anfei and Lu Qi’er, play with Lu Lu and then asked Xina to prepare some food.
During this time, he had been busy, and resources had been tight, so he hadn’t eaten well.
Then, Fang Jie went out alone, heading towards the buildings in his Territory.
"What a pity, the quantities are still too low, many buildings can’t be upgraded, otherwise it would have solved a lot of problems all at once," Fang Jie deliberated again and again before finally choosing two buildings to upgrade.
Death Energy Tower and Corpse Processing Plant, those were Fang Jie’s choices.
The issue that Death Energy Tower resolved was one of defensive strength; the recent battle had fully exposed the insufficiency of his Territory’s defenses. Every time someone tried to assassinate him, they could rush into the Territory, only to be blocked by the Barrier and surrounded by other Legendary figures.
If his own defensive power were strong enough, they could be killed on the spot.
Even though killing by the buildings might seem like a bit of a waste, Fang Jie’s Territory did not aim to obtain Legend Certificates, he sought safety. Only by demonstrating overwhelming lethal power could he ensure others would not dare to approach lightly.
That was the true safety, better than defending under a Barrier every day for sure.
His current position was relatively stable, but what if those powerful enemies attempted to assassinate him?
The two Empires to the North, and even the power beyond them that might or might not be an Empire, certainly had this capability.
For his own safety, Fang Jie hastened to upgrade the level of the Death Energy Tower without hesitation.
Death Energy Tower (Gold): A defensive unit with a wide range of Death Energy attack capabilities. Skills: Death Aura Impact, Death Cloud Fog, Corpse Explosion. Range: 10 kilometers.
Building requirements: 100 units of Rune Stone Bricks, 100 units of Rune Stone Slabs, 300 units of Advanced Yin Gathering Stone, 1 unit of Energy-Gathering Crystal Stone, 100 units of Crystal Stone Powder, 10 units of Magic Crystal Stone, 500,000 spirit points.
Looking at the new description, Fang Jie grimaced. "Really expensive, but still necessary to build."
The cost of this thing was much higher than one of his high-end Gold Level combat forces. The key was that his Gold units could fission a hundred copies from one.
Although the Death Energy Tower was powerful, it could only produce one.
But for his safety, it still had to be built.
"It seems building one at every stronghold is impossible; the standard will have to be Silver Level usually. The highest level ones, for now, can only cover the areas where I am," Fang Jie reflected, holding onto the belief that one day he’d be able to establish Death Energy Towers everywhere in his Territory.
After creating it, Fang Jie tested it out, and indeed, the Gold Level Death Energy Tower was incredibly strong. It could strike targets within a 10-kilometer range, its attacks concealed and exceedingly fast.
Although Death Energy didn’t affect the Undead much, if focused fire upon it, even a Skeleton Flying Dragon would go down in an instant.
If thousands of Death Energy Towers simultaneously attacked, a Legendary Level force targeted by such concentrated fire would either die or be severely injured. If tens of thousands of Death Energy Towers were gathered in his Territory, Legendary enemies would definitely not dare to approach.
Of course, thinking about the materials required for these tens of thousands of Death Energy Towers, Fang Jie also felt a twinge of pain.
Well, one step at a time. They could be built eventually.
Next was the Corpse Processing Plant. From the fight, Fang Jie fully realized the speed of development when not short on corpses. Now, the only sources he had for supplying corpses were the Nether God Tower and Corpse Processing Plant.
He only had two Nether God Towers and couldn’t make more; they had always been used to produce high-end corpses. But even for these high-end corpses, Low-level corpses were needed as materials.
His Silver Level corpses had always been insufficient, leading to a slow production of Gold corpses.
The slow development before was also for this reason. After upgrading the Corpse Processing Plant, it should be alleviated. Although this was Fang Jie’s own assumption, it was worth a gamble.
Finally, the new panel for the Corpse Processing Plant appeared before Fang Jie.
Corpse Processing Plant (Gold): Capable of processing various biological corpses to obtain more Corpse Materials and spirit points. The processed corpses can be transformed into Undead units faster and preserved better. During processing, there’s a certain probability for an increase in Corpse Bone Material quality, up to Gold Level. New Corpse Bone Material will be produced daily: 5000 units of Apprentice Level Bones, 500 units of Black Iron Bones, 100 units of Bronze Bones, 20 units of Silver Bones. Processing special corpses sometimes retains some of the corpse’s own characteristics.
Building requirements: 3000 units of Rune Stone Bricks, 5000 units of Rune Wood Boards, 1000 units of Refined Stone Bricks, 1000 units of Refined Wood Planks, 2000 units of Advanced Yin Gathering Stones, 1000 units of Rune Leather, 3000 units of Crystal Stone Powder, 100 units of Energy-gathering Crystal, 2000 units of Elemental Gem, 30 units of Energy-Gathering Demon Crystal, 1,000,000 spirit points, Material Warehouse (Silver)
"Not bad, more advanced than I thought."
Fang Jie breathed a sigh of relief, now enough corpses were available for use. With the daily production of Silver Level bones, directly used to upgrade in the Nether God Tower, he wouldn’t lack Gold corpses anymore.
Not to mention, during processing, there’s already a chance to elevate Silver bones to Gold.
Processing Gold bones also obtained more, which could be used for the many, Gold corpses he had.
And the ability to retain the unique properties of particular corpses could let his Undead retain such traits. Undead inheriting properties would have special abilities, enhancing their combat power.
Especially for high-end forces, such enhancements can tip the scales in battle.
Indeed, because of these specialties, the odds of High-Level troop breakthroughs would also increase significantly.
As for the cost, the price had also increased quite a bit, but Fang Jie was unconcerned. Since the Corpse Processing Plant was not for defense, there was no need to build so many, and he could afford it.
"Let’s make a hundred first, and see how it goes later. Sigh, time to tighten the belt again."
Fang Jie shook his head, looking out over his Territory. No help for it, the Territory had recently advanced to Level 7, but it had been stuck there since. Even though overall ability continued to improve, no new powerful skills were added.
Perhaps upon reaching Level 8, more would be available.
But to upgrade further, the Territory required that its Lord reach Gold Level.
For others, this might not be a high requirement, but Fang Jie was different. He still had a significant gap from Gold Level, and it was unlikely that he could break through in a short time.
After all, he wasn’t a troop type, unable to rise rapidly through combat alone.
