Chapter 464: Chapter 464: An Unexpected Talent

This Talent, Fang Jie did not acquire.

Fang Jie also knew that the participants might have been too numerous, which is why they had not received it. It was also because they were already compensated in other ways, so the Talent had nothing to do with them.

In no time at all, Fang Jie and the others left the place.

The once inter-world Space Channel had shrunk considerably, becoming akin to a large Space Gate. It connected the Main Territory with other Affiliated Territories, effectively becoming an Affiliated Territory for the taking.

Moreover, some Functional Buildings, originally constructible only once, were still in operation.

These Functional Buildings, also granted for free, would be able to exert double their unique abilities in the future.

Leaving some people behind to manage the affairs of Jade Slope, everyone else returned to Feifeng City, even Fang Jie. His Main Territory was not suitable for others to work in.

Before long, the personnel tasked with tallying the counts had returned to this place, the news delivered exceedingly fast.

"Lord, we’ve ascertained that every intelligent being from the original world now possesses a Talent. Even those we sent over ahead of time have awakened their Talents," someone reported dutifully to Fang Jie.

"Everyone has one? Then, what kind of Talent is it?" Fang Jie looked at his deferential subordinate.

To tell the truth, Fang Jie felt somewhat uncomfortable when faced with such individuals. Although Skeletons were equally deferential, could they be the same as Humans? It just felt different.

But Fang Jie couldn’t ask them to be more casual, and even if he did, they wouldn’t comply.

With his constantly rising status, various unavoidable issues were bound to emerge.

In fact, Fang Jie’s current approachability had already made others relax significantly. There were many rumors behind closed doors that Fang Jie was extremely ferocious—who else could spend their days amongst the Undead?

"It’s the Weapon Mastery Talent. Each person has acquired proficiency in a different weapon."

"The weapons they master, they can cultivate more easily with. Skills related to their weapon would be learned faster. Moreover, when wielding their weapon, both agility and combat power would see significant improvements."

"According to the skill’s own description, normally using a certain weapon would increase its power by a factor of two."

Weapon Mastery? Fang Jie was somewhat surprised; he hadn’t expected this type of Talent.

Such a Talent was not rare in this world, as the records contained many such instances. Even individuals who awakened the bloodline powers left by their ancestors might exhibit similar Talents.

But this Talent seemed rather ordinary, so why would it appear here?

"That world was extremely powerful; how could it have such mediocre Talents?"

Talents were divided into various ranks, although these were artificially established. The general rule was, the stronger the world one came from, the more powerful the Talents obtained.

The Earth people were an exception when they came here.

The Lord’s Cottage was not strong, but its potential was virtually limitless. To have chosen such a peculiar Talent caught everyone off guard.

However, because it was not strong initially, most people abandoned it, as survival was far more important.

Yet from such a vast world, for their people to end up with such a common Talent as Weapon Mastery was quite peculiar. Although the Talent was strong, it was in the context of enhancing one’s own combat effectiveness.

Many had weapon Talents that did not suit them well and would have been better off using other types of weapons.

Additionally, some had weapons so bizarre that they could not fully utilize them; this was certainly within the realm of possibility.

"Could it be that because many Gods were mobilized this time, it resulted in such an outcome?" Fang Jie could only speculate, for without standing at that pinnacle, he lacked the privilege to know much of these affairs.

But then again, why worry about these things?

"With this kind of Talent... are there still those causing trouble?"

"There are a few, but they were exterminated as soon as they appeared, mostly by their own kind."

It seemed they were well aware that, even in another world, they could not act recklessly. The consequences of doing so were unfathomable. While there would always be a few with a lack of sense, their companions would bring them back to reality.

"Not bad. Next, select some individuals. Our academy and barracks are both being built, so have them join in for training. Weapon Mastery, huh? It’s a good opportunity to make use of the current bolstering of World Power to rapidly enhance our strength."

Fang Jie was aware that due to special reasons, people from that world cultivated very easily.

At least until reaching the Gold level, it was quite easy, so with the aid of the Weapon Mastery Talent, he could quickly form a large force of Human Gold-level powerhouses.

With that, there would be plenty of opportunities to strategize.

In the future, to conquer the Beastman Empire to the east, these Human beings would be needed.

Providing them with opportunities for advancement, these individuals would fervently shine and radiate. What he needed to ensure was that he could dominate all others in sheer force, and that would be enough.

Fang Jie waved his hand, dismissing the attendant, and prepared to return to his Main Territory.

The newly acquired Soldier blueprints and building upgrade scrolls were just the right things to use. With these, his Territory would undoubtedly develop immensely, solving many of the problems he had previously faced.

However, Fang Jie didn’t leave immediately; he first waited for Qin Lan to wrap up her affairs before he briefed her.

After all, their relationship was different now, and Fang Jie had to make some adjustments.

"Alright, I know you’re busy. You go first. I’ll be over in a few days, and I’ll be staying at your place from now on."

"You’re sure you want to stay at my place, not in your own Territory?" asked Qin Lan, rolling her eyes.

"What’s the difference? The commute is extremely easy; it’s instant. From now on, your place is my home; don’t even think about shaking me off."

She was already keen to exercise the rights of a lady of the house, but this was acceptable.

Having a woman in charge at home indeed made Fang Jie feel much more reassured. "Alright, I’ll wait for you to come over. Oh, and if you have time tonight, come over—anytime is welcome."

"Hmph, if I come over tonight, I won’t have to work tomorrow."

Although she felt a little more relaxed, her workload was far from light. Just thinking about integrating such a massive territory and population, on top of her previous plans and backlog of work, was enough to give Qin Lan a headache.

After parting with Qin Lan, Fang Jie used Instant Teleportation to return to his own Territory via the warehouse.

It sure felt good to be back after such a long time; Fang Jie watched as a little flower demon fluttered towards him.
