Chapter 220: Chapter 220: Grave Guardian Demon Spider and Death Messenger
"There are still so many Minotaur soldiers, send them all over to me."
The people working the land over at Qin Lan’s always worked best with Minotaur soldiers, if only there had been more. Now that they had finally captured so many prisoners, it made sense to send them over to Qin Lan.
In terms of agriculture, Feifeng Town’s Talent Ability was much better than their own.
"These Minotaur soldiers, alright, I’ll organize and send them over to the leader right away."
Although it was a tough decision, the leader’s orders had to be followed.
That’s right, these Minotaur soldiers were huge and naturally strong in combat and very obedient. With just a bit of training, they could become an important Strength for themselves; they had intended to keep them for their own use.
But since Fang Jie requested them, they had no choice but to send them over. Fortunately, their own side wouldn’t collapse just because they were missing these Minotaur soldiers.
Soon, they arranged these matters and sent things over to Fang Jie. However, the captives required some time, as they first had to be taken to the southernmost part of the highland before they could be transported using a large Space Gate.
Quicker than these were the War Treasure Chests, which were airlifted and appeared in Fang Jie’s hands the same day.
"So this is a Treasure Box acquired with the participation of Legendary Experts? Platinum Level, it really looks similar to silver, wondering what could be inside." Fang Jie rubbed his hands and then opened the Treasure Box.
Not wanting to waste any more time, he directly took a look, the quality of this war’s loot was decent.
After opening it, the Treasure Box disappeared, leaving behind some items on the ground. Fang Jie picked up the first one: it was a card, a Grave Guard Demon Spider Card, at the Gold Level.
"Let’s see, new troops, but why do they have to be made in a graveyard? I do have a graveyard, but it’s only at the Black Iron Level." Fang Jie finally remembered he had such an asset.
What a pity it was not possible to create these troop types without reaching the Gold Level.
Fang Jie had never liked the Zombie system much, so he never bothered to upgrade or develop it.
After trying it once when he first got it, he had just left it discarded. Now most other troop buildings had reached the Gold Level, which was the highest level normally achievable.
To go beyond that was extremely difficult; Fang Jie didn’t know if it was even possible.
Therefore, upgrading these troop buildings wasn’t a big deal. As for the Zombie troops, if it really didn’t work out, he could just not produce them, right?
Sadly looking at what he had in hand, it seemed he could only upgrade it to the Bronze Level for now, completely pointless.
"Forget it, wait until I get an upgrade card in the future," he thought.
Fang Jie could only temporarily give up on such a powerful trooptype. That’s right, any trooptype at the Gold Level was very powerful, especially those of the Corpse series, unlike the fragile Bone Series.
Some of the stronger Corpse series trooptypes were not weaker than the living ones, and might even be stronger.
Looking at the Demon Spider, just by reading the surface introduction, one could tell it had at least trap skills like ’Death Spit’, a trooptype with decent combined abilities. In the future, he’d find a way to upgrade it.
Putting down the card, Fang Jie turned his attention to the other items, the most valuable being a scroll.
Death Messenger Profession Scroll: Use the Death Messenger Profession Scroll to enter the Profession Tower, where one can change Professions to become a Death Messenger. Prerequisites: Undead-type Profession, Black Iron Level, having led over a hundred thousand troops in battle and achieved victory.
"A higher Profession than my Undead Mage? And I don’t have to become an Undead Creature, nice." Fang Jie glanced through the scroll, the fact that he didn’t have to become an Undead Creature certainly met his requirements. Having a higher-level Profession would definitely benefit his personal advancement.
His current Strength was enough, but finding a Profession Tower was not so easy.
Over this period, he had only encountered a Profession Tower once himself, and his subordinates only twice. Fang Jie ordered his men to search for a Profession Tower and to notify him once they had news, then he left it at that.
Fang Jie had nothing more to attend to, but things in the North weren’t completely over yet.
During this time, more and more Humans from Qing River began appearing on the opposite bank.
This place once belonged to the Beastmen, but now they had retreated, and Humans immediately came to claim it. Initially, the result was nearly a clash between the three factions, but after receiving letters from the Beastmen, they forcefully suppressed such internal strife.
After learning the quantity and power of the Undead, these Human factions were unprecedentedly united against an external threat.
"Have you figured it out? What’s the situation over there?" Cosette questioned his subordinates.
The matters here had already been reported to Fang Jie. Fang Jie had also planned to take advantage of the opportunity to take over the entire grassland, but now the initiative had been lost. The Humans on the other side had already established fortresses.
One could easily guess, considering the speed of their construction, that the opponent certainly possessed something like a Territory.
Across such a wide river, attacking the fortresses on the other side was not an easy task. Moreover, after a great battle, their own troop losses were not small; a direct assault was impossible with the current forces.
By the time they managed to reallocate troops over to Fang Jie’s side, the number of troops on the other side had also increased.
"It’s been figured out, there are three Human factions on the other side. Two of them are nations, Mels Kingdom and Ghana Kingdom, and the last one is the Nebis Federation, which is said to be an alliance of many factions."
"All three factions are very powerful, even stronger than the local Beastmen factions. It’s just that they have always been fighting among themselves, so they couldn’t concentrate fully on fighting the Beastmen."
"Stronger than the Beastmen, which means they have Legendary Level Experts among them."
Cosette had not recovered yet, and thinking back to the Beast Emperor’s Strength, she felt utterly powerless; she was no match.
To kill the Beast Emperor, if he were alone, it would require at least five thousand Gold Combat Power at the Gold Peak Level. If you want to prevent him from escaping, you’d have to set up even more.
After the last battle, the Beast Emperor alone had killed nearly two thousand Gold Combat Power troops.
Even Fang Jie felt a wave of pain. If there had been other guards with him, it would have been even harder to kill him. Last time, had the Beast Emperor not decided to cover for other Beastmen, killing him would have been almost impossible.
Such an Expert, if they were specialized in assassination, would be even more troublesome.
With this in mind, Costa could only temporarily give up the idea of attacking these Human factions.
"Then let’s build a Fortress on our side and stand off against them. What about the Beastmen? Can we make our way into Beast King Valley?" Costa asked again.
