Chapter 402: D149. Leaping through the darkness_3

Hundreds of Insect Eyes opened again, dense blood threads connecting to the central red light, intensely watching the Hero in the sky.

Propelled by the Depraved Wind, the Hero gracefully flies through the underground space, skillfully avoiding the assaults of the Devouring Curse Demon.

Behind her, the raging Devouring Curse Demon, like a Catastrophe, destroys everything in its path, making her small face involuntarily tense up.

"The Witch Demon Scorpion, which has evolved into Devouring Curse Demon, its body is already dead, merely an outer shell, while the curse aggregation inside has become independent, closer to a conceptual life form," Hunting Knowledge’s voice echoes in her mind,

"If the outer shell is shattered, the inner curse will lose the ability to move—but being immobile does not mean it cannot take action, nor does it indicate it cannot fight, it might even become stronger."

Even with Hunting Knowledge’s prior information, the Hero still can’t fully compose herself when faced with the abrupt changes of the Devouring Curse Demon.

Even with Hunting Knowledge’s prior information, it does not mean that the Hero can remain composed in face of the drastic changes of the Devouring Curse Demon.

After shattering the outer shell of the Devouring Curse Demon with a punch, curses resembling maggots trying to burrow into bones tried to invade her, wrapping around her body.

Yet under the magnificent light of the Wind Moon Night, they failed to succeed, and when the Hero herself bloomed with the Dawn Light, these curses melted away instantaneously.

Yet just as she was about to pursue her victory, this act seemed to greatly provoke the heavily damaged Devouring Curse Demon.

Those dense Insect Eyes suddenly opened wide, the Curse’s Death Light sweeping in like a tsunami, simultaneously countless nail-like Scorpion Tails stabbing towards the Hero like torrential rain.

This furious assault continued for a while, realizing running away was not a solution, the Hero suddenly veered direction.

With no means to escape, the Hero no longer dodged; with white Moon Fire ignited on her fists, the Dawn Light bloomed along with it, striking out at the overwhelming Curse tide.

The Night Tiger’s roar resounded, ethereal Fantasy Snow blowing, as companions, mentally connected, also unleashed their attacks simultaneously.

Before the Curse engulfed everything, the light shone steadfastly, fearlessly advancing to meet the onslaught, colliding without hesitation.

The power of the Curse and the Power of Dawn, two incompatible forces, tore at each other, forming a massive vortex in the sky.

But the stalemate did not last long, the light’s emergence was a bit hasty, and as the Devouring Curse Demon erupted with blood-teared vengeance, the power of the Curse broke the balance.

[The Demon Eyes watched over the Hero, causing 422 points of curse damage]

[The Hero’s rolls: Extreme Failure (1), Critical Success (215), Extreme Failure (2)]

The intertwining light and dark swallowed everything in the center of the Sanctuary, the resultant shockwave spreading in all directions, rendering the heart of the sanctuary minuscule by comparison.

The Curse Divine Throne, not far from the action, could no longer withstand the aftermath, and this historic artifact was utterly destroyed, its ruins instantly swept into the chaotic turbulence.

The petite Hero, like a leaf in a raging wind, had her faint cry of pain swept away by the fierce gusts.

The miasma in the underground space has almost materialized, churning menacingly like the clouds during a thunderstorm.

The Night Tiger, enveloped in pure dark energy, summoned all its strength to block some of the attacks for the Hero, but can only momentarily avoid the brunt of the all-out assault from Devouring Curse Demon.

The Gleaming Scale Serpent, coordinating seamlessly with the Hero, switched from defense to offense, conjuring illusory snowflakes with the hurricane-like barrier of Wind Moon Night.

However, the strength of the Demon Monster King is not to be underestimated; under the immense force of the curse, the formidable barriers were breached layer by layer.

The hurricane ceased, snowflakes withered, and the Hero was struck by the Death Light emitted from the Insect Eye of the Devouring Curse Demon, plummeting to the ground like struck by a massive wave, creating a deep crater in the floor, a barely audible cry of pain escaping the girl’s lips.

Her waist’s Magic Patterns flickered, and the clear Water Light Battle Skirt suddenly turned pitch black, unable to withstand the corrosion from the curse, it crumbled away into a pool of dead water.

The Snake Maiden’s slender figure now lay bare, her skin as soft as suet, with only key parts covered by the sturdy jade-like Snake Scales.
