Chapter 241: D84. Annoying Little Fairy_4
If the old man were here now, witnessing this scene, he would likely let out a helpless sigh.
The Hero could almost picture the scene, causing her to avert her gaze from her lower leg.
The Professional Mark is a crystallization of wisdom meticulously crafted by the Kingdom and the Six Major Guilds, encompassing a vast array of profession skills and generally sufficient until reaching Legendary status.
Talented Professionals, by systematically accumulating experience and learning the techniques and abilities it entails, could resonate with the Stigmata upon meeting the Level requirements, advancing directly to a Second-transfer Profession without further guild training.
However, the Stigmata on the Hero’s lower leg, although a fine piece specially prepared by the Cruising bishop, was not so inclusive.
After all, it was only a Stigmata engraved with the Martial Monk’s abilities and touched on some other professions of the Church.
If the Hero truly perfected her Martial Monk techniques, that would be another story.
Regrettably, while she had trained earnestly, the skill she ended up mastering had little to do with techniques — the Blaze Power.
She hadn’t even used it in the recent fight against the Lizardman, as collapsing from exhaustion here was not an option.
Even if the Stigmata wanted to assist, there was no interface it could connect with to teach a Phoenix how to advance to a High-tier Monk, so the light eventually faded in despair.
Nonetheless, the Hero now had no spare energy to concern herself with that.
She stepped forward, starting to sift through the charred soil and ashes for her belongings...

Putting the gleaming chainmail back on, covering what needed covering, the Hero picked up the charred remains of the "Border Folklore," her expression crestfallen.
"Grandpa’s notebooks..."
The pages were practically burned to ashes, leaving only carbonized covers and a few fragmented pages.
The Hero took a round trip and even collected some book pages blown away by the wind but salvaging the book was impossible.
Though she had read and memorized the content of the book, and Grandpa wouldn’t blame her for the notebook’s damage,
it was still an object of sentimental value entrusted to her by her family.
And indeed, the knowledge and Grandpa’s notes in this book had benefitted her greatly.
Without this book, the Hero would still have an incomplete understanding of the truth behind the Highland’s anomaly.
Compared to the distress of accidentally burning the notes, the clothes that were entirely burned seemed trivial.
After all, as a Beast Spirit Mage, and in the solitary wilderness, the Hero was somewhat accustomed to this attire.
At least now, unlike before, she had a thin layer of chainmail.
As a result, the Hero didn’t allow herself to dwell on the loss for too long.

The necklace, carrying a Water Spirit’s blessing left by the Siren Princess, had regained some of its Magic Power over the time she wore it.
This ancient Royal Family necklace not only withstood the scorching hot winds but also helped to save some of her luggage, including the easily stored dried food.
Having sorted the remaining supplies and charred books, and placed them back into her somewhat intact backpack, she wiped the corners of her eyes, stood up straight again, and summoned the Gleaming Scale Serpent to start exploring the area.
She knew it was better to quickly find a way to improve the situation rather than blame herself for the notes.
Grandpa would have wanted it that way.
For her to return completely was the best reward she could offer the old man.
Although the necklace had helped her well enough that she didn’t need to hunt to fill her stomach, with her shoes also perished in the fire, she was left with only the clothes on her back.
Even with her Constitution, challenging the snow-capped mountains on the Highland dressed like this would be overly reckless.
Therefore, she had to find at least some basic clothing or accessories either from the Sand Lizardfolk’s camp or from this Otherworld itself.
After all, from their conversations, it was apparent they were no strangers to human plundering.
"Alright, let’s go!"
The Hero cheered up, resuming her stride no different from before, boldly exposed her delicate, lotus-like arms and long, fair legs, taking big steps forward.
Unfortunately, on this uninhabited Highland, within the body of a Magic Creature, no one could witness this enticing pose of hers.
And for the Sand Lizardfolk, proud of their own Scale Armor, even if they saw her, they likely wouldn’t appreciate it.
