Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All
Chapter 714: Explosion

Chapter 714: Chapter 714: Explosion

Yu Holea exhaled deeply, brushing the remaining dust off her fingers. It was done.

She turned her attention back to her phone, refreshing the Luck Bound website.

Just as she had suspected, the stock remained unavailable. But now, something was different.

A message blinked at the top of the page:

[We are experiencing technical difficulties. Service will resume shortly.]

Yu Holea scoffed. They were scrambling.

Without the Dark Warden’s seal, their entire operation was crumbling.

Her eyes darkened. They wouldn’t give up so easily.

Whoever was behind the website would realize soon enough that the source of their power was gone.

And when they did, they would come for her.

At night.

Yu Holea checked her phone and frowned.

For the past few days, Qiao Jun hadn’t texted her at all. Even when he texted her, the response was just in two or three words.

Just what he was busy with?

Yu Holea was a bit angry and decided to ignore Qiao Jun, too. So she didn’t text a good night and went to bed.

..............................

Huang Jin and Sheng Xin stepped into the dark cave, their footsteps echoing against the damp stone walls.

The air was thick with the scent of moss and something ancient, something sinister.

As they walked further, the narrow tunnel widened into an open chamber.

Dozens of hooded figures stood in a circle, their cloaks pooling around their feet like shadows.

Huang Jin straightened his posture and held up the wooden box in his hands, his lips curling into a smirk.

"I have obtained the Dark Warden’s Seal."

In an instant, the hooded figures, except for one at the front, dropped to their knees. Their voices rose in a chaotic murmur, whispers of excitement filling the chamber.

"Finally! We have a leader again!"

"With the Dark Warden’s Seal, we can restart the Luck Bound website!"

"The power will return, and we will make more money than ever!"

Laughter and cheers erupted among them. Some even pounded their fists against the ground in excitement.

But the man who stood at the front remained motionless, his head tilted slightly. His voice was cold and sharp as a blade.

"Silence."

Instantly, the murmurs died, and all eyes turned to him. He stepped forward, his piercing gaze locked onto Huang Jin.

"Show me the seal."

Huang Jin let out a confident chuckle and opened the wooden box with a flourish.

"Feast your eyes on—"

He froze.

The box was empty.

A stunned silence spread through the chamber.

The kneeling figures sprang to their feet, their cheers turning into shouts of rage.

"Are you trying to trick us?!"

"You dare play with us, Huang Jin?!"

"Where is the seal?!"

Some of them reached for weapons hidden within their cloaks, while others took defensive stances, their eyes gleaming with suspicion.

Huang Jin’s face paled, and he frantically shook the box as if the seal would somehow appear out of thin air.

Sheng Xin, standing beside him, swallowed hard.

"This... this is impossible! We had it!"

The leader, who had remained calm until now, suddenly let out a sharp gasp. His body trembled, and he coughed violently before spitting out a mouthful of dark blood onto the stone floor.

The hooded figures instantly became even more alert, their hostility now mixed with fear.

"Leader! Are you alright?!"

"What happened?!"

"It must be these people! Attack them! They must be some kind of special force officer wanting to kill us!"

"Exactly! Maybe they were waiting for the right time to attack our leader!"

"Quick, attack them!"

One by one, dark energy balls were aimed at Huang Jin and Sheng Xin, who were stunned by the sudden massacre and tried to defend themselves,

"We aren’t! We are just like you!"

One of the hooded guys laughed in anger and said,

"Sure, you are like us. But we need proof, and only by dissecting you both will we know whether you are indeed one of us."

Sweat dripped from Huang Jin’s forehead, and he decided to shed his skin to prove his innocence.

But before he could do so, the leader raised his hand and shouted,

"Stop! They are indeed one of us."

In an instant, all the hooded people stopped.

The leader wiped the blood from his lips, his expression dark.

"The Dark Warden’s Seal has been broken. I left a part of my soul in it. If it were still intact, I would feel its presence. But now... It’s gone. Destroyed."

Gasps rippled through the group. A wave of unease spread among them.

Huang Jin and Sheng Xin exchanged a look, their jaws tightening. Huang Jin cursed under his breath. "It must be her... That woman!"

The leader narrowed his eyes. "Who are you talking about?"

Sheng Xin clenched her fists. "Yu Holea."

The leader’s brows furrowed. "Yu Holea?"

Huang Jin spat angrily. "She is the one who destroyed the seal. That wretched woman!"

Sheng Xin nodded, her voice bitter.

"She’s a ghost exorcist. And not just any exorcist—she’s a high-level talisman maker. She’s also a special force officer and a TV actress."

The leader’s eyes widened slightly, a flicker of shock passing through them.

"A high-level talisman maker?" His voice carried an edge of disbelief. "Are you certain?"

Huang Jin scoffed.

"Of course! We’ve seen her work firsthand. She isn’t someone ordinary. She must have sensed the power of the Dark Warden’s Seal and decided to eliminate it."

The other hooded figures began murmuring amongst themselves again.

"A special force officer? That means she’s been watching us all along."

"If she can make talismans at a high level, then she must have a deep understanding of mystic arts..."

"She destroyed the seal so easily. Does that mean she can destroy us too?"

A few of them exchanged nervous glances.

Some gritted their teeth in frustration, while others looked uncertain for the first time.

The leader raised his hand, silencing them once more.

His voice was quiet but firm.

"If what you say is true, then Yu Holea is more dangerous than we expected."

Huang Jin’s expression darkened.

"She must pay for this. We cannot let her get away with it."

Sheng Xin added,

"She’s already ruined our plans once. If we don’t eliminate her, she’ll come after us again."

The leader’s gaze swept over the assembled figures.

"If Yu Holea truly possesses such power, then we must be careful. We will not act recklessly. We will gather information, find her weaknesses, and strike when the time is right."

One of the hooded figures stepped forward hesitantly.

"Leader, what about the Luck Bound website? Without the Dark Warden’s Seal, we can’t make talismans anymore."

The leader remained silent for a moment, deep in thought. Then, his lips curled into a slow, dangerous smile.

"The website will not shut down. We may have lost the seal, but we will find another way. Isn’t Yu Holea a talisman practitioner herself? We will kidnap her and make her work for us."

The hooded figures gasped.

"Kidnap her?!" one of them said, eyes wide.

"That’s too dangerous!" another whispered.

"If she could destroy the Dark Warden’s Seal, what if she fights back?"

The leader chuckled, dark and cold.

"That’s why we must be careful. We will watch her. Find out her habits, her weaknesses. When the time is right, we will strike."

Huang Jin clenched his fists.

"I will go myself. That woman made a fool of me. I won’t let her escape."

Sheng Xin crossed her arms. "We should wait. If we rush, we might fail."

The leader nodded. "Yes. We wait. We plan. And then, we take her."

What they didn’t know was that an invisible talisman was attached to Huang Jin’s back, and Yu Holea, who was lying in her bed, heard everything.

A smirk appeared on her face, and she chuckled,

"Really? Find my weakness? How sad that I have your location."

Without hesitation, Yu Holea called Luo Murong and told him everything.

After telling their address, Yu Holea calmly said,

"I have stored explosion talisman in the locker of my office, take it and blew them up. It’s better to deal with all the hidden dangers right away."

Luo Murong chuckled over the phone.

"Blow them up? You sure don’t waste time, do you?"

Yu Holea stretched lazily, staring at the ceiling.

"No need to waste time when the enemy is already planning to kidnap me."

Luo Murong chuckled. "Alright. I’ll get the talismans and handle it."

She smirked.

"Good. Make sure they don’t even have time to scream."

After hanging up, Yu Holea turned on her side, resting her chin on her hand.

She wasn’t worried. By the time those fools realized what had happened, it would already be too late.

Meanwhile, in the dark cave, Huang Jin and Sheng Xin were still discussing their next move with the leader.

"We should observe her for at least a week," Sheng Xin suggested. "See when she’s alone, when she’s vulnerable."

Huang Jin nodded. "Agreed. Rushing in would be suicide."

The leader crossed his arms. "Then it’s settled. We—"
