Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All
Chapter 709: Trick

Chapter 709: Chapter 709: Trick

Standing there was a middle-aged man with a kind face.

Yu Holea remembered the face...

Huang Jin.

One of the reptilian shapeshifters she had encountered before.

Cui Wang, the CEO she had appointed...his luck was snatched by Huang Jin.

And beside him was...Sheng Xin.

So her doubt that Sheng Xin...Sheng Yin’s younger sister was a reptilian shapeshifter, was correct...

When she saw Sheng Xin in Sheng Yin’s memories, she was sure that Sheng Xin was destined to die at the age of 10 after drowning in water.

Yet, somehow, Sheng Xin survived and even had luck better than Sheng Yin.

Not to mention Sheng Yin and Sheng Xin’s luck was connected and getting swapped.

After intervention, Sheng Yin completely broke free from the bound, but the question was, how had Sheng Xin survived?

Yu Holea didn’t have to think for long, as she heard the auctioneer say,

"100 billion! 100 billion for Dark Warden’s Seal! Everyone knows that the last user of this seal ended up in jail because she couldn’t fully understand the true powers of the seals.

This seal can help you make your destiny better; as long as you have it, you can change your destiny! You can make one, snatch one, absorb by swapping others’ luck, and even rewrite fate itself!"

The auctioneer’s voice was full of excitement. "Now, who dares to bid higher?"

Yu Holea narrowed her eyes.

So this was what Dark Warden’s Seal was about...

Huang Jin smirked and raised his hand. "150 billion."

Gasps filled the room. The amount was insane.

Sheng Xin stood beside him, her expression unreadable.

Another bidder, an old man in a golden robe, raised his hand. "160 billion."

Yu Holea knew she had to act fast. She pressed her earpiece.

"Murong, we can’t let them get away. Are the backups ready?"

"Already in position," Luo Murong replied. "But we need a distraction."

Yu Holea smirked. "Leave that to me."

She took a step forward, raising her own number. "200 billion."

The crowd turned to her in shock. Even Huang Jin’s smile faltered.

The auctioneer looked stunned but quickly recovered. "200 billion! Do we have a higher bid?"

Huang Jin stared at Yu Holea, his eyes narrowing. "220 billion."

Yu Holea chuckled. "300 billion."

The entire hall went silent.

Luo Murong’s voice came through the earpiece. "Are you crazy? We don’t even have that money!"

"Relax," Yu Holea whispered back. "I just need them to focus on me."

Huang Jin’s face darkened. He clenched his fist. "350 billion."

Yu Holea sighed dramatically.

"Too bad. I was ready to go higher." She lowered her hand. "Guess you win."

The auctioneer smiled. "350 billion going once... going twice..."

Before he could finish, the lights flickered. Then—boom! A loud explosion shook the hall.

Screams filled the air as masked figures burst in. It was Luo Murong’s team.

"Move in!" Luo Murong ordered.

Yu Holea took the chance to rush toward the stage. She jumped up, aiming straight for the wooden box.

But just as her fingers touched it, a hand grabbed her wrist.

Yu Holea’s eyes darkened as she locked onto Sheng Xin.

Sheng Xin smirked, her glowing eyes filled with confidence.

"You should’ve stayed out of this," she sneered.

Yu Holea didn’t bother to reply. She flicked her fingers, and glowing talismans shot out, surrounding Sheng Xin.

With a quick chant, the talismans burned brightly, forming a barrier around her enemy.

Sheng Xin hissed, her reptilian features flashing for a second before she lunged forward.

Her nails grew longer, sharper, slicing through the air.

Yu Holea stepped back, dodging with ease.

She grabbed another talisman and threw it. "Seal!" she commanded.

The talisman wrapped around Sheng Xin’s wrist, burning her skin.

Sheng Xin let out a sharp cry, but she quickly ripped it off, her wounds healing instantly.

"You’re fast," Yu Holea said, unimpressed. "But I’m faster."

With a flick of her wrist, she summoned a gust of wind, sending Sheng Xin flying backward.

Before Sheng Xin could recover, Yu Holea appeared beside her in a flash, pressing a talisman onto her forehead.

"Bind!"

Golden chains formed around Sheng Xin, locking her in place.

She struggled, her body twisting unnaturally, but the mystic chains didn’t break.

Yu Holea smirked. "Not so tough now, are you?"

Sheng Xin’s eyes flickered with rage, but then... she chuckled.

Yu Holea frowned. "What’s so funny?"

Sheng Xin didn’t answer. Instead, she tilted her head, looking behind Yu Holea.

She turned just in time to see Huang Jin standing on the stage, his fingers brushing over the wooden box.

"You’re too noisy," he said, looking directly at her with a smirk.

Yu Holea’s heart dropped. She had been so focused on Sheng Xin that she hadn’t noticed Huang Jin moving toward the Dark Warden’s Seal.

Before she could react, a sharp, searing pain shot through her chest.

Her breath hitched.

She looked down. Sheng Xin’s claws were buried deep in her chest.

Yu Holea’s vision blurred for a second. The pain was overwhelming, like fire spreading through her veins.

She staggered back, landing hard on the ground. Blood dripped from her lips as she gasped for air.

Sheng Xin stood over her, looking down with cold, venomous eyes.

"If I wasn’t in such a hurry, I would’ve killed you properly," she sneered.

"But don’t worry... you’ll suffer later."

Yu Holea gritted her teeth, her fingers twitching as she tried to grab another talisman.

Huang Jin chuckled, picking up the wooden box with ease. He looked at her, his golden eyes glowing with amusement.

"I’ll see you later," he said. "You... and your family."

Yu Holea’s heart pounded.

Before she could force her body to move, the two reptilian shapeshifters vanished into the darkness, leaving her lying helpless on the ground.

Her eyes closed, and she looked as if she was on the verge of taking her last breath.

After 20 minutes, Luo Murong arrived at the scene and almost had a heart attack. He patted his chest with an exasperated expression and pointed at Yu Holea.

"Holea, could you stop playing such a prank on others?"

No response.

"Holea, I am talking to you. I know you are listening to me. Wake up."

No response.

"Holea!" Luo Murong almost shouted, "The red sauce leaking from the puppet’s mouth doesn’t look real at all!"

Finally, Yu Holea appeared and looked at the puppet Yu Holea on the ground with an amused expression.

"I think it is quite realistic. Those reptilian shapeshifters fell for it, at least."

Luo Murong let out a deep sigh, rubbing his temples.

"You almost made me faint! Do you know how scary that looked?"

Yu Holea chuckled, crossing her arms.

"Well, it worked, didn’t it? Huang Jin and Sheng Xin think I’m out of the picture."

Luo Murong shook his head.

"I swear, one day, your tricks will give me a heart attack." Then, his face turned serious. "But we have a problem... they got the Dark Warden’s Seal."

"Nope." Yu Holea shook her head and said calmly, "It is with me."

Luo Murong was confused,

"What? How?"

Yu Holea smiled,

"The moment I touched the wooden box, I put away what was inside it with the help of... my storage talismans."

Luo Murong was baffled,

"But...but...wasn’t the wooden box an obstruction? You for sure don’t have the wooden box; that man and young woman with him took away the box.

So it means the thing inside should still be with them!"

Yu Holea smirked and shook her head.

"Nope. The box was just a distraction. The real seal was already in my storage talisman before they even touched it."

Luo Murong blinked, trying to process her words. "Wait... so what did they take?"

Yu Holea crossed her arms. "An empty box."

Luo Murong stared at her for a long moment, then burst out laughing.

"Oh my god, Holea, you are insane! Do you know how much trouble you just saved us?"

Yu Holea shrugged.

"I had to be sure they wouldn’t get it. They were too confident. I knew something was off."

Luo Murong wiped a tear from his eye, still chuckling.

"So now what? They’ll find out sooner or later that the box is empty."

"About that..." Yu Holea smirked.

Just as she was about to explain her plan, Luo Bin returned.

Luo Bin was Luo Murong’s daughter and the next president of the Special Force Officers.

She ran toward them, her face full of panic.

"Father! Holea! We lost it!" she cried. "The Dark Warden’s Seal is gone! Huang Jin took it! How could this happen?"

She looked so upset, like she was about to cry.

Luo Murong quickly patted her shoulder. "Calm down, Bin. We didn’t lose it."

Luo Bin blinked. "What? But I saw them take the box!"

Luo Murong grinned. "Yeah, the box. But the seal is with Holea."

Luo Bin gasped and turned to Yu Holea. "Really? You got it?"
