Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All -
Chapter 680: Reuniting
Chapter 680: Chapter 680: Reuniting
"Holea, that’s the future which will never happen...don’t overthink." Qiao Jun continued to console. "Your family members are still alive and you still have a chance to mend everything."
Yu Holea’s sobs slowly died down. Her heartache slowly vanished, replaced by hope.
The hope of being able to mend what she had done wrong.
The Yu Family in the first life, paid back for everything they put her through. They ensured to atone for their sin.
In this life, the Yu family regained their senses and apologized for their mistakes over the past few years...
Guilt surged in Yu Holea’s heart.
Understanding her emotions, Qiao Jun hugged her and softly said,
"Holea, though the Yu family may be considered a bit innocent, don’t feel any remorse for the way you treated them.
If they hadn’t mistreated you in the first place, you wouldn’t have treated them in such a way. Not to mention, this is something they still haven’t done.
Give yourself a chance, don’t be harsh on yourself, and go and reunite with them."
Yu Holea’s rationality slowly returned. Though her eyes were still red, she felt much better. She nodded and Qiao Jun slowly led her out.
After settling Yu Holea in the car, Qiao Jun calmly returned to the Unholy dungeon.
With a flick of a wave, a poisonous black liquid enveloped the place. The stone pathway, along with the entire structure started to melt.
Within a few seconds, the dungeon turned into ashes.
"The place which could have possibly taken away my Lea from me shouldn’t exist." Qiao Jun calmly muttered.
From what Sheng Yin had said...this was supposed to be Yu Holea’s fourth lifetime.
A dark glint appeared in Qiao Jun’s eyes.
Something Sheng Yin didn’t understand.
From Sheng Yin’s words, it’s clear that something or someone was controlling the fate of the Yu family.
In the first lifetime, the Yu Family died.
In the second lifetime, all of them were separated. Yu Holea was in some other world, while the Yu family might have given up one of their lifetimes to bring Yu Holea, back into this world.
Qiao Jun understood sacrifices and rituals and his instinct told him, that what the Yu family sacrificed in the first lifetime was not just their body but also one of their lifetimes.
In the third lifetime, which Sheng Yin too has lived, everything was going well, but...the Yu family members again died.
This was their fourth lifetime.
Is it possible that maybe...the Yu Family has a curse or some kind of strange destiny because of which they had to die every single time...
’No.’ Qiao Jun shook his head.
From what he understood, Yu Holea had more than enough powers to know about such a phenomenon.
’I will tell Yu Holea about my suspicions later.’ He thought and returned to the car.
On the other hand, while Qiao Jun was away, Yu Holea called Mrs. Yu with a trembling hand.
The call was soon connected, followed by Mrs. Yu’s voice,
"Hello? Lea?"
Hearing Mrs. Yu’s deliberately softened voice, Yu Holea choked slightly.
Alarm bells went off in Mrs. Yu’s head and she asked anxiously,
"Holea? Are you okay? Where are you? Are you in danger? God! Keep the call on, iw ill ask someone to trace your location..."
"Mom..." Yu Holea softly called out.
Mrs. Yu froze. Her heart thudded heavily. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing.
Mom?
Did Yu Holea call her mom?
It wasn’t like Yu Holea never called her mom. In the past few years, Yu Holea, had a slip of tongue and had called her mom a few times, but each time it seemed like a mistake.
Today...
Today it seemed as if Yu Holea was calling her out like a child longing for her mother.
Mrs. Yu cautiously asked,
"Lea? Could...could you please...repeat what you...Oh, sorry, I miss heard..."
"No." Yu Holea’s slightly choked voice sounded, "You heard it right. I called you mom. Mom."
Mrs. Yu felt her breath quickening, and her heart was filled with joy. She almost jumped from her position and asked,
"Lea...can you please...please repeat it."
Yu Holea’s eyes were still red but a small smile appeared on her face as she repeated,
"Mom."
Tears filled Mrs. Yu’s eyes.
"I have an answer to your question from 4 years ago." Yu Hola continued.
"Huh?" Mrs. Yu was baffled by the sudden change of statement, "Question...what question..."
"About whether I can ever forgive you all." Yu Holea reminded.
Mrs. Yu’s heartbeat quickened. She didn’t know what Yu Holea’s answer was, and why Yu Holea suddenly remembered the question but she suddenly had an epiphany.
Her hands turned clammy. She was nervous and asked,
"What is it?"
"I will tell you when you meet me. Can you call brothers at Grandpa’s place? Can you too come to Grandpa’s house?" Yu Holea requested.
Mrs. Yu frantically nodded, realizing Yu Holea couldn’t see her, she said,
"I can, I will! Let’s meet at Father-in-law’s house!"
After Mrs. Yu hung up the call, Qiao Jun returned.
When he saw a faint smile on Yu Holea’s face, he felt a bit relieved.
"Shall we go?" He asked.
"Hm. To Grandpa’s house." Yu Holea softly said.
"Alright!"
.............................
Mrs. Yu hung up the call, her hands shaking with excitement and nervousness. She quickly dialed Sicong her voice trembling.
"Sicong! Lea wants us to meet her at your grandpa’s house. Call your brothers and head there right now!"
"Lea? She said that?" Sicong sounded shocked on the other end.
"Yes, she did! Hurry, I’ll explain everything when we meet!" Mrs. Yu’s voice cracked with emotion as she ended the call.
....................
At Grandpa Yu’s house, the family gathered anxiously.
The once grand estate had seen better days, but it still held a warmth that felt comforting.
Mrs. Yu stood near the entrance, pacing nervously, while Old Mr. Yu, Shuchang, Sicong, and Sile sat in the living room, fidgeting with anticipation.
"Do you think she’s really going to forgive us?" Sile asked, his voice filled with worry.
"I don’t know," Sicong replied, his tone heavy. "But if she’s willing to talk, that’s already more than I could hope for."
Shuchang tapped on his knees and muttered,
"She had mentioned the question suddenly, do you think someone has tried to fill her ears against us?"
Old Mr. Yu was so furious that he waved the stick in yu Shuchang’s direction and almost hit him.
"You brat! Can’t you say anything good?"
Yu Shuchang who had dodged on time, calmly kept his mouth shut. He was just exploring different possibilities.
Before anyone could respond, the sound of a car pulling up reached their ears. Mrs. Yu practically ran to the door, her heart pounding.
Yu Holea stepped out of the car, her expression calm but her eyes still red from crying.
Qiao Jun followed closely behind her, giving her a reassuring nod before staying back.
This was her moment.
As Yu Holea stepped into the house, her red and swollen eyes immediately caught everyone’s attention.
Mrs. Yu gasped in horror and rushed forward, cupping her daughter’s face gently.
"Lea, my baby, what happened? Who hurt you?" Mrs. Yu’s voice trembled as tears welled up in her eyes.
Old Mr. Yu’s grip on his cane tightened.
"Tell me, child! Who dared to make you cry? I’ll deal with them myself!"
"Exactly!" Sicong said, his expression dark and his fists clenching at his sides.
He turned sharply towards Qiao Jun, who had just stepped in behind Yu Holea.
"Was it him? Did he do something to you?"
Qiao Jun froze, raising his hands in defense. "What? Me? No, I’d never hurt her!"
Yu Sicong narrowed his eyes.
"Then why are her eyes red? Why does she look like she’s been crying? You were the one with her, weren’t you?"
"Sicong!" Mrs. Yu scolded, glancing back at him. "Stop jumping to conclusions!"
Yu Shuchang stood and crossed his arms, his tone stern.
"But Sicong has a point. Qiao Jun, if you did something—"
"ENOUGH!" Qiao Jun said, looking exasperated but keeping his voice calm. "Lea’s been through a lot, and I was only trying to help her."
Yu Sile looked panicked as he stepped closer to Yu Holea.
"Lea, just tell us! Did someone bully you? Is someone threatening you? We’ll take care of it!"
Mrs. Yu looked like she was on the verge of breaking down.
She pulled Yu Holea into her arms, stroking her hair.
"Don’t cry, baby. Whatever it is, just tell us, and we’ll make it right. I promise, no one will dare to hurt you again."
The overwhelming concern from her family made something break inside Yu Holea.
Tears started falling again, this time faster and harder.
"I..." she tried to speak but couldn’t get the words out as her sobs grew louder.
Mrs. Yu panicked even more, holding her tighter.
"Oh, no, no! Don’t cry, Lea! Please, just tell us what’s wrong. We’re here for you!"
Yu Sicong turned back to Qiao Jun with a scowl. "What exactly did you say to her?"
